4.5☆ The storyline of Legend was surprising, not at all how I thought it was going to go. Even though I wasn't expecting it, it was really enjoyable. The surprise is really cute and makes Legend an even better guy. He has a big heart and just accepts the surprise and strives to be the best that he can be. I loved being in his head and getting his thoughts on the situation and seeing how much love he has to give. He's a great guy and very loving and protective. Pepper is entertaining and unique which made her interesting. I think she's a good fit for Legend and I liked how she was always there to help and give him advice and comfort. There were also surprises with other characters that make me even more intrigued, and let's face it, impatient, for their books. This series has been wonderful so far and I can't wait for more!

Who would have thought Legend was the man portrayed in this riveting heartwarming but also intriguing hockey romance story!
I am totally in love with his beautiful heart! His whole demeanor struck a chord in me and I loved how he treated people, his sense of caring about others was absolutely amazing! That man has the biggest heart! The way he dived into his new life changing challenge, the way the friendship progressed with Pepper and the way he was with his teammates really made him a trustworthy and all around wonderful man! Pepper was a great addition to his life I think she really brought out the best in him! She had zest, spoke it like it is and was incredibly caring too!
I had so many thoughts and emotions whilst reading! I laughed, cried and swooned! Hands down this book is a number 1 story in 2019!
It had drama, heat, beautiful friendships, a love story like no other and suspense that drew you in hard!
What the author has written is downright amazing and I cannot wait for more of this series!! She must have put her heart and soul into this story and its a real credit to her!

I’m loving this series following the newly franchised hockey team Arizona Vengeance, and after reading book 2, Erik, I knew I was going to be in for a few surprises with Pepper and Legend. From their first meeting their relationship was tumultuous, a little bit of hate from Legend, and a little bit of love from Pepper. Legend has never hidden his disdain over Pepper’s flamboyant yard decor, even going as far as complaining to the home owners association, but when Legend gets a surprise package on his doorstep, Pepper turns out to be one person he can count on to help him. Wonderful writing (dual POV), a lovely story, featuring some emotional scenes dealing with some very real issues. Admittedly this story features a very extreme case, leaving me, the reader, gripping the edge of my seat, I think I nearly broke my kindle during a few scenes. Not too much hockey, but definitely lots of hot hockey players, past and future, and of course a few steamy scenes in the mix. I can’t wait to see what Sawyer gives us next. I was fortunate enough to receive an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Sawyer Bennett is one of my auto-buy authors and Legend was a great addition to her already awesome stable of books.

Legend Bay is the star goalie of the newest NHL team the Arizona Vengeance. He's pretty much got everything going for him, his game is great, he's got good teammates/friends and he can pretty much have any woman he wants. One thing he's made very clear is that he's easily annoyed by his gorgeous neighbor Pepper Nantais. She tends to like bold colors, lots of lights at Christmas and lawn ornaments at other times of the year.

When Legend returns home one day and receives some life changing news, it's Pepper, the children's book writer, who is there to lend a hand and an ear. As the two of them set about navigating the new landscape that Legend finds before him, Pepper is more helpful than he could ever imagine. It doesn't take long for Legend to realize that Pepper is not who he thought she was and the sparks that begin flying between them are unstoppable.

Will the two people who were not looking for a relationship be able to deal with rocky times and a few curve balls in order to make their relationship work?

I enjoyed this new addition to the Arizona Vengeance series. It was nice to see some familiar faces from the Carolina Cold Fury series, as well as Legends current teammates. Another great work by Sawyer Bennett and one you're going to want to pick up!
