Tomorrow Land attempts to blend post-apocalyptic survival with a romance-driven narrative, but it ultimately falls short of its potential. The story alternates between a decadent, tech-heavy 2030 and a zombie-ravaged future, following Peyton and Chris as they navigate both timelines. While the premise is intriguing, the execution feels formulaic and uninspired, leaning heavily on overused dystopian tropes without adding anything fresh..
The pre-apocalypse chapters are particularly sluggish, bogged down by awkward pop-culture references, tedious explanations of futuristic technology, and a contrived romance between Peyton and Chris. The post-apocalyptic chapters, while more action-packed and compelling, are undermined by melodramatic plotting and overly convenient resolutions.
Peyton and Chris never fully rise above caricature, and their transformations—Peyton from insecure teen to comic-book heroine, Chris from troubled substance abuser to romantic lead—feel forced and unconvincing. Supporting characters are similarly underdeveloped, and the dialogue often veers into cliché.
Ultimately, Tomorrow Land feels like a missed opportunity. So a big nope from me, sadly.

This was a solid 2.5-3 for me; 2.5 for the beginning and end, which were a bit predictable and lagged in the pacing, and 3 for the middle, the meat of the story, because it absolutely hooked me.

A well crafted and well paced read, however it was not one I was able to connect with fully. Am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to read and review this story.

I won't be able to leave a review for this book; I requested it in a past lifetime of my NetGalley use and it no longer fits with my reading interests. If I ever do end up reading it I'll come back and update this!

This was so fun!!! Fast paced, well- written, and I flew through it! Mari is such an engaging writer and this did not disappoint!

I requested this title back before my blogging break. I have ended up with a number of titles that are overwhelming to catch up on now I am back from my blogging break. I am regretfully not going to be reading and reviewing this title, but now I am back from my blogging break, I am looking forward to reading and reviewing some of your future titles. Thank you so much for the opportunity and apologies.

Going through my netgalley account and just found the section of books titled Archived, not downloaded. I apparently requested and was approved for this book but I never DLd it and so did not read it. I appreciate the approval and while still interested in the title I am not sure when I will get to read it. If/when I do I will be sure to post a review on Instagram, goodreads, storygraph, and Amazon.

Tomorrow Land just didn't do it for me. It was previously published with another name and even under this name this book really needs some work. The plot didn't shine through and I really was hoping for more from this one.
