I love Elizabeth George's practical, faith-based advice. This book is perfectly based on great time management for women who want to live their best life. The advice is faith-based and helps you center your life around God's will.

This book is saturated with Bible verse and references to God and Christianity. If this is your sort of inspirational read, then you will love this one. While it is religious, it does have several kernels of truth and universal ideas that all people could relate to. I enjoyed reading this one and picking up the larger pictures.

Elizabeth George has done it again, beautifully navigating Scripture to give us God’s view of what life here on earth should look like. George then gives us tips on finding His will on issues not outlined in Scripture. I recommend this to anyone looking for a straightforward guide on what God desires and enjoys practical, well thought out advice.

Thank you Harvest House and Netgalley for an ARC of this book.

This book is difficult for me to review. I acknowledge that I choose to read this book, knowing it had some Christian basis however the reference to bible quotes (often 3 or more to a page) was too much for me personally. That aside I will attempt to give this review based on the remainder of the content of the book.

Each chapter begins with a relevant bible quote and I enjoyed the chapters starting this way. In the very beginning of the book the author speaks about choices in life, and that we all have and make choices either through action or indecision. The idea for a beautiful life is to make good choices.

The book is based around the authors 7 steps to wisdom. The steps begin with Stop, basically being mindful of waht is occurring in the present moment and pausing before reacting. The steps continue on, however this is where for me the book became very heavily reliant of the scriptures. The basis of the book goes on to relying on scriptures, prayer and seeing counsel before making decisions.

This book would hold appeal to a practicing Christian reader, who has not read any motivational or decision making books prior to this. It goes into the basics of life such as having a plan for the day, so as not to waste precious hours.

Looking beyond the heavy scripture basis of the book I found it did not give anything new if you have ever read any introductory book on decision making or mindfulness.

Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I hate writing reviews of books I don't care for, but unfortunately, I can't love everything I read. I wanted to enjoy this book, but "Creating A Beautiful Life" felt silly, simplistic and naive to me. I'm sure the author's words and advice will be helpful to some, but many readers are not helped by run-of-the-mill advice such as set an alarm, read scriptures first thing in the morning, and think before speaking. Much of the advice in this book is geared toward certain personality types or specific life situations. This book simply did not speak to me in any way whatsoever, and the preachy, parental tone didn't appeal to me as a reader. Definitely not a book I'd recommend.

This is a very well written, easy to understand book. Reading this book is like sitting across from a friend having a heart to heart conversation,. This book is so encouraging. I had a notebook writing down a lot of the ideas and pointers that Elizabeth George has in this book. This book is definitely a "must read". Thank you Harvest House Publishers via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. This is my honest opinion.
