What a great new series - a family of women bounty hunters! I loved the romance between Molly and John - especially since Molly doesn't even get that John likes her!! She is just annoyed by John while he sticks around and keeps trying to get her attention.

There is a lot of drama and action as they try to bring in a dangerous bail jumper as well as finding where the mother took off to, you can't put the book down!

While the part with the romance is wrapped up at the end of the book, the rest is still pending until the next book. I was not expecting that and was surprised when I got to the end and the mother was still on the run and we don't know if Detective Mills is a dirty cop or not. Guess I will have to wait for the next book!!

A fast-paced adventure that will have you laughing out loud. A great start to the series, and I can't wait to see everyone get their own story. There are storylines left open, that will have you counting down to the next book, but I feel the characters have more depth this way. Sticky situations mixed with humor and wit...this was a definite must-read!

After a slow start things really picked up for Molly and her crew of bounty hunters. The main plot point in this new series is where is Molly's and her sister's mother, something that was not solved in book one. Her mothers disappearance brings on another big problem. John Carmondy just wants a chance with Molly and between the two they face danger together as well a solve the other big problem. Great cast of characters. The set up for the next book and the next sister who will find both danger and romance is in the last chapter. Interesting new series.

I received a free copy of the book in return for an honest review.

I'm always a fan of Katie Ruggle's series, so when I saw that Katie had a new series, I was all over it!

I'll start by saying this is a good start to the series. I guess if I had a complaint it's that this was a HFN instead of a HEA ending, which I typically prefer. I was just a bit disappointed in that a part of the plot that was initially introduced to us at the beginning of the book wasn't resolved and I'll have to wait for the next book to find out what happens (or maybe the author will drag it out across the whole series, who knows?). I didn't feel as though the family was safe by the end of this one and that leaves me feeling unfulfilled, so that's why I only gave this one 3 stars.

Even though I didn't like that the ending left me hanging, I still enjoyed this book. It's rare to have a strong group of kick butt women as heroines and the focus of a series, so I appreciated that, especially since they ran a bounty hunting business. This book focused on Molly Pax, the oldest of the sisters and the one who pretty much raised her siblings since she was a pre-teen. They had a mom who only cared about herself and if it weren't for Molly, they'd probably not have food to eat or a place to eat. Molly's rival in the bounty hunting business was John Carmondy, but apparently Molly was the only one who saw him as a rival, everyone else knew that he wanted a relationship with her and this was his way of getting close.

So for most of the book Molly is ignoring what is plain to see to everyone else. She is quick to argue with John or compete with him at every chance. John just rolls with her punches and uses his trademark smile and smirk to throw her off her game at times. It was really quite cute to see them interacting. Molly did become annoying after a while when she just kept putting up those walls and not letting John in. I mean the guy was doing everything right, while not being pushy at all. He was the perfect gentleman, much to my surprise, not one of those commanding alpha male. He was a strong personality, but he knew when to let Molly take charge and I respected him for that. She eventually gives into the attraction, because it's kind of hard to ignore John.

The major plot of this book revolves around Molly & John tracing a skip. They get into a lot of scary situations, but of course in the end, they get their HFN. The action part really is interesting and I kept waiting to see what was next. In the end, I was still waiting for a resolution to the mom situation and I guess I'll have to continue waiting.

I love the concept of this series, sisters who work together in the bounty hunter – bail recovery field. Though not the very first idea like this that I have read but one of the best written ones. I fell for John Comondy long before Molly did in In Her Sights by Katie Ruggle.

Molly has so much on her plate with work and family that she needs a distraction just like John, charmer that he is. Their relationship is a slow burn into the romance arena. I enjoy the banter, enemies-no- friends approach that the author took as their relationship progressed. The suspense of the story is disquieting as opposed to keeping you up at night scary, which is fine by me. The family drama took up much of Molly’s focus and time as well as a great part of the story. Usually first books in a series do that since the background of the characters is built. I like understanding how the family and characters fit together. Still I guess I would like to see the mother banished.

No cliffhanger for Molly, John and Warrant (love that dog’s name) but the epilogue contained an Oh-no for the next story. Now I want to know what happens next.

As a fan of Katie Ruggle, and after reading the prequel Any Means Necessary, I was definitely all set to dive into this exciting world of female bounty hunters. We all say you can pick your friends, but you can’t pick your family, and that has never been truer than with he five Pax sisters.

Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters is set to be an exhilarating, fast-paced, laugh out load, and cry in your corn flakes type of series, with sisters who are each unique in their qualities, but all have a little quirkiness to their characters. This was one of my favourite elements to the story, but the plot and world building contributed a lot too.

I did find Molly and John’s romance too drawn out, and the chemistry was also lacking. That said, this was still an entertaining book, with enough tantalising titbits to keep readers coming back for more. I look forward to the next Pax sister’s adventure.

I have to admit, up front, that I love a clueless partner within the main couple of any story – genre doesn’t matter. It’s that bold as a tree that stepped out in the road in front of your car reaction that eventually happens that makes me either smile or laugh out loud. There’s a lot within IN HER SIGHTS that made me laugh, and get annoyed, and angry and completely lost in this opening story in the new series about five bounty hunter sisters, their criminal mother and the bad guys they encounter.

Now, I’m not going to sugarcoat it, some readers are going to go ballistic when they realize that not every story in the series is completely neatly wrapped up by the ending. There are threads woven in this opening story that will, most likely, continue until the final story. Each story has its ending, but the arc continues so don’t be surprised if you don’t know everything you wanted to know by the ending. For me, that just makes the series more realistic and I’m more inclined to stick with it to know what finally happens… but that’s me.

IN HER SIGHTS gives us Molly Pax and John Carmondy as the main couple… and Molly as the totally clueless lady who really believes that John just shows up on her cases to annoy her, even when his help was greatly needed. She doesn’t see his attraction for her… but is definitely fighting her attraction to him with the resulting snarky comments she tosses around with ease. Watching Molly need to lean on John for his help and maybe begin to deal with those pesky attraction feelings flowing between them like lava… finally, was pure entertainment and a bit of satisfaction as well. I liked this couple, they’re both good at their jobs, feel strongly and when they open up to each other they discover a whole new world.

I frankly loathed Molly’s mother. She’s a criminal who never learns a lesson. It’s taken Molly and her sisters years to pay off the mortgage on their home. They’ve opened up the bounty hunting business with each woman dealing with the cases that fit her own unique personality. They’re finally seeing success… until her mother illegally used their home as collateral for bond and then jumped. Now, if the sisters don’t bring in their mother as a bond jumper they will lose their home. Mommy Dearest Of The Worst Kind.

I enjoyed IN HER SIGHTS so very much. I was fully engaged in this story from the start, found the characters to be interesting and started forming a bond with them, loathed the obvious villainess and found plenty more bad guys to despise as well. The threads will keep me watching the next stories as that thread and new adventures come along. I can’t wait. If you love a good solid Romantic Suspense story that is engaging, humorous, intriguing and will keep your attention then you’ll want to check out IN HER SIGHTS. I’d not hesitate to recommend this one at all.

Molly yelled to her sisters she was headed to the park. If Molly was delayed long enough Charlie would somehow finagle her way into coming along and that meant Molly would be stuck sorting her sisters expense reports. Molly had their dog Warrant with her. Than Molly went to get closer to the ice cream shop, as she was watching for Maryanne cooper who was the sister of one the skips-Donnie- she was trying to catch.Donnie had not shown up for his latest court date Molly believes maryanne knows where Donnie is hiding. But Maryanne won’t answer any texts or her door. Than before Molly could get going John shows up and said just the person he wanted to see. Molly said just the person she didn’t want to see and then asked why he was there. John seemed to take pleasure in pestering her. Molly than see maryanne leave early to go to work. Molly didn’t want to admit John was flirty, distracting, and confusing. John was hard to get rid of. The fact that molly’s pulse did a weird skittery hop of excitement every time she seen John just annoyed her more. Than he asked who she was hunting. Molly felt John was trying to steal her job. Than he asked when she was going to come to work for him. Molly said never. Molly and John were bail recovery agents. Than she seen Donnie across the street. She told John to hold Warrant and took off running. Molly and her sisters bail bondsman business was now established solidly, she still didn’t like turning business away. Their mother contributed least to the household but she was the one with her own room. If Molly hadn’t started paying the bills at eighteen they would have lost the house to the bank. She knew she was going to have to talk to her mom again about paying more. Than her mom came downstairs and it was one A.M. and she was going somewhere and wanted Molly's car mo;;y said no and to give her the keys back or she would report the car stolen. Than Molly reminded jane-her mother- of the rules they let her live there with and she had to give more for household expenses and also pay Cora- her sister- back as she needed that for school. Molly had barely got to sleep when she heard pounding on the door than it finally stopped but she heard a man and female voice talking. So she got out of bed to see what was going on. John was at their door with Cora and told her that her mother had gone to jail.Nothing knew her mother had gone several times. John had said Jane texted him when she couldn’t get a hold of Molly. John said to save his number as he finally left. Thinking about John made Molly twitchy and warm and fidgety. The cops came with a search warrant to search the house.Molly found out her car was gone, her business credit card and the cash she had in her wallet. So eighty dollars from her wallet, four hundred from the ATM, and from her business card fifteen hundred dollars at Walmart had been charged and nine hundred spent at tiny’s Auto repair. Molly called John and found out her mother had stolen a necklace worth twelve million dollars from the sculptor Simone Richet. Her bail had been set at five hundred thousand dollars and she had bailed out. The sisters decided their mother could never come back if she tried as they knew her criminal friends had been the ones to take Molly’s car, credit card and cash. Than Molly found out a scummy bail bondsman ahd got her mother out and her mother had put up their house as collateral as she wouldn’t sign off the house when Molly paid it off. Their mother had jumped into a canyon of trouble and had Molly had to do her best to make sure she and her sisters weren’t dragged into the abyss with Jane. Sonny had jumped bail and was a notorious man and Barney had bonded him out and he had skipped his court date. Barney had wanted Molly to go after him and she had repeatedly said no but now she had no choice as Barney threatened to have her mothers court date moved up and when she didn’t show the house would be his. John would not let Molly go alone so the hunted Sonny together. Her sisters were hunter their mom.
This was an okay read for me. For some reason I just didn’t get into this book. My fault not the books. I did drag for me at times. I had problems keeping my attention on this book. But I did enjoy the danger, suspense, amd action in this book. I did like Molly and John together. I really liked how the sisters were. But June was a rotten mother and person and user. I just know I was glad I did finish the book but wouldn’t read it again and that figures in how I rate a book. I did like the characters in this book. But this lacked something for me to push it to the next level.

In Her Sights is a fabulous start to a new Ruggle series. It has the perfect blend of snark, humor, whimsy, chemistry, and suspense. Because yes, the relationship between John Carmondy and Molly Pax is just sizzling with temper and gentleness. This is one of those super chemistry couples that just explodes on the page and makes you want to keep reading as fast as possible.

I simply loved Carmondy's mouth... and wit... and mouthiness and how much he just loved to get a rise out of Molly. It was so fun and funny and sweet. He had her number from go and just pushed the right amount. And Molly gave as good as she got! Her stunt with Warrant was freaking awesome and made me laugh out loud!

The humor was laced with tenderness but still so funny I was all but snorting as I tried not to laugh on public transportation. Hot, explosive, funny, sweet... and not all contained between Carmondy and Molly by any stretch because Molly's sisters are a motley crew who love to jerk each others' chains too.

The Pax sisters are all very different and I enjoyed seeing how easily Ruggle showed us the differences between them without explaining it all. Personalities shine through with excellent characterization. Seeing each of them get their man will be fun because I know each of them will get someone very different, right for their personality type.

And this is a suspense with chases, explosions, a little blackmail thrown in and a whole lot of action. It isn't non-stop with no time for reflection but it is a guns blazing pace that keeps the plot moving forward at all times. With a serious hook to the next book, I am all-in for the next installment of these bounty hunters!

I am an unapologetic Katie Ruggle superfan. Her action, humor, and heart laced books always leave me with the biggest smile on my face. In Her Sights is no exception! It combines everything you love about a Katie Ruggle novel with masterful world building for a brand new series. I am in awe.

In Her Sights follows Molly, the eldest of five bounty hunting sisters with a criminal mother, and John Carmondy (I feel the need to type his whole name because Molly uses his last name more than his first), a rival bounty hunter and one of my new favorite heroes.

Katie Ruggle knows how to write an excellent hero and John Carmondy is no exception. I am more than a little in love with him after reading this book, it’s no wonder Molly couldn’t resist him. I am such a sucker for a hero who is hopelessly devoted the heroine, and this whole book was basically John waiting for Molly to notice him in a real way. It’s super cute and you’re rooting for them the entire time. The witty banter and sexual tension in this book are top notch.

As with all Katie Ruggle novels, I wish there was more emphasis on the romance. By that I mean, I just wanted the book to be longer! I think the plot is perfectly paced, but I am always left wanting more of the central couple.

Overall, I thought this was an excellent first book in a series, and I can’t wait to see where the overarching mystery goes as well as watch all these sisters find their perfect partner. I want more!!

I have read a bunch of books by Katie Ruggle and I have really been enjoying them so far.

This book is one of my least favourite so far. Don't get my wrong I did enjoy the story but just not as much as I expected to. The pacing was a bit slow.

Skip your bail and you'll never know what hit you when these Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters cuff you and march you to the nearest police station. I thought the premise of five bounty hunting sisters and their romances to be a great formula for a new series and I was right.

Molly Pax with her plans A through D couldn't plan for what brought her to accepting irritating and attractive fellow bounty hunter, John Carmody, on as her partner.
Molly has grown up raising her sisters, doing her best to keep a roof over their head, food in their mouths, and safety from what their waste of good oxygen, serial marrying and divorcing, petty crook mother brings into their lives. They've all enabled her, but this time Jane has gone too far when she stole money, car, and a priceless necklace, put the deed for the house up for bond, and skipped out. The slimy bailbondsman with the deed insists they go after a deadly killer in exchange for him not taking the house immediately.
Molly has had an itch about John Carmody since their earliest encounters. She says its because she can't stand him, but from his big smile and her sisters' eye rolls apparently she's only fooling herself.
But, her pride and her desperation to save their home and family business don't make her stupid so Molly reluctantly takes the help that John is offering. All her life, she has only ever been able to depend on herself and her sisters, but now she sees that she might have a good thing with her knew partner in more ways than one if she can allow herself to trust.

In Her Sights has a light, quirky tone along with some good romantic suspense elements. I enjoyed the sisterly dynamics and loved to hate their mother, Jane. Molly is big sister and feels responsible for everything though she is slowly learning that the others are now adults and she needs to trust them to do their jobs and stay safe. Molly had to grow up fast and hard so it makes sense that she is somewhat hostile toward John for a while even after he proved himself. He's totally into her and she's the only one blind to this. Even the family dog gets it.

This is strong on the romance, but the catalyst for all that happens is the suspense element of the trouble their mom caused by the big theft and also robbing them blind before disappearing. I'm guessing the situation with Jane is going to be a series plot piece. Meanwhile, there was a secondary suspense thread of Molly and John hunting down a repeat criminal who tends to blow things and people up and Molly is blackmailed into going after him. The action sequences of the chase were good.

The intro to the sisters and the family situation have me eager to press forward to the rest of the series as each sister gets her story. I was definitely hooked by the epilogue teaser at the end of In Her Sights that gives a peek into Cara's story with that little cliffie.

On a side note, the Turn the Tide anthology, which is free, has a prequel novella from the author that tells the story of Molly and John's meet cute and introduces the sisters and this series. The story is briefly referenced as a quick shared memory in In Her Sights. It isn't necessary to read it first, but it was definitely fun and not to be missed if you want more of the sisters and John.

All in all, this latest series opener and series looks to be a fun addition to the author's repertoire and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to those who enjoy light romantic suspense.

I really enjoyed this new starter to the series. Molly was kick ass and John was oh so fabulous! I just wish I was able to get into John's head a little. Even though this was 3rd person, it really was only from Molly's POV, and I missed the man's perspective. I really like the premise of this series, and the suspense aspect was good. I'll be looking for what's next.

I love Katie Ruggle's books. I could not put down any of the books in her K9 series. This book did not feel the same for me. It started out OK but quickly bored me. It just did not have the same flow and character chemistry as her previous books.

I have a deep, deep love for clueless dudes who suddenly realize the perfect person for them is the one who's been standing in front of them the entire time. As it turns out, I also love the clueless ladies. WHO KNEW?!?!

Molly has NO CLUE Carmondy's sudden appearances while she's on jobs are anything more than him trying to (a) recruit her to work with him or (b) steal her skip. No idea. She's gloriously oblivious even when it's pointed out to her. Literally everyone except her sees it, but she just keeps thinking the simmering attraction is completely on her part and she needed to keep things vaguely professional (if not a little snarky) between them.

HA. Yeah, no. That didn't work so well. Mostly because John's a sweet puppy of a man who wants nothing more than to make sure Molly is safe. He also has stellar intimidating glares that he uses to his (and Molly's) advantage. He quite literally has her back when she's only used to relying on her sisters and watching Molly slowly realize that she trusts him as much as she trusts her siblings is kinda awesome.

Between the simmering sexual tension, we got some great groundwork for the series (Mama Pax is all sorts of bad news and the situation she's put her children is succcccckkkkks. Hard.). With bad guys after the Pax sisters thanks to Mama Pax's shenanigans, there looks to be plenty of danger ahead for everyone.

But, hey! What's a heist and peripheral danger to family, right? Seriously, Mama Pax is awful and I can't wait to see where this series goes.

Molly and her sisters are bounty hunters, when their dead beat mom is accused of stealing an expensive necklace they must choose between taking a dangerous bounty or possibly loos the family home, John is another bounty hunter who wants Molly but Molly finds John more of an annoyance than anything or does she. I was given an ARC copy for an honest review. Loved the book can’t wait for book 2 in the series.

I just love reading the first book in a new series. The possibilities are endless. Will it crash and burn or put me to sleep? Or will it immediately grab me, making me whine with impatience waiting on the next installment? Thank goodness this book falls into the latter category! I loved the one book I've read so far by Katie Ruggle, and I was hoping I'd be as happy with this one. Her fun characters drew me right into this new series.

Molly is the oldest of five sisters who run a bounty hunter service. They struggle with their mother, who is a pitiful, immature criminal who leeches off her children. Mommy dearest steals Molly's car and commits a felony by stealing a necklace worth a fortune, and takes off for parts unknown. If they don't find their mother before her court date, they will lose their beloved home. Molly is forced to take a bounty on a very dangerous man. John, a fellow bounty hunter who wants Molly to work with him - and sometimes snatches her bounties away - aligns with her to capture the bad man.

I absolutely loved these two characters. They are both totally loveable goofballs! You can see a mile away that they have a great attraction to each other. Molly, however, is a little slow on the uptake. I enjoyed watching these two go from friendly rivals to friends to lovers. The closer they get to their dangerous prey, the closer they get to each other. The increasingly exciting story will have you hanging off the edge of your seat, but it's the engaging characters who will make you want to revisit this bounty hunting family.

I received an ARC of this book courtesy of the publisher and NetGalley. I received no compensation for my review, and all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

This is a great action packed romantic suspense that kicks off an intriguing new series featuring female bounty hunters. Molly Pax and her sisters have been working hard to make a success of their bail recovery business. All that hard work is threatened when their criminal mother finds herself in trouble again. When the mother uses the family home as collateral for a bond then skips town Molly and her sisters risk losing everything unless they can track her down. Molly knows she can't handle this on her own so she grudgingly accepts the help of rival hunter John Carmondy. That's when things really get interesting! I love these two together. There is fun, sass, action and oh yeah a nice romance all weaved together making a very interesting story. I recommend this book to everyone.

This is the first book in Katie Ruggle’s newest series about bounty hunter sisters. I adored the sisters! Ms. Ruggle has crafted once again an addicting series that’s definitely going to be on my favorites list. Molly and John as partners, both on the romantic and bounty hunting side was fantastics. There was definitely a lot of humorous banter and action, in fact this was leaning more towards action suspense side than romantic but it was no less entertaining. Molly and her sisters are great characters and I cannot wait for the next book. This one ends with an HEA but there are several subplots that have a cliffhanger ending. Great start to a new series!
