Wowza! What a treat.

P. Dangelico wrote an amazingly surly and growly hero! Add in some football byplay to the story and you have a winning combination! I absolutely was addicted to Bulldozer! Grant and Amanda were just delicious. I loved the snappy dialogue between them and the fiery chemistry! She was the perfect amount of sass to his grumpy demeanor. They were just perfect together! I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.

4 stars!

What do you get when you throw together a down on her luck single mom and a grumpy athlete? Romance, baby, Romance!
Amanda is staying at her brother's house while she is trying to get her business up and running to care for her son. She walks into Grant walking around naked! Sparks fly and the chemistry is amazing. Grant is recovering from an injury and these two will have to live together.
Great read. I can't wait to read more from this author.

ARC provided via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Amanda is staying in the Hamptons with her son as she prepares to open her new yoga studio. Staying at her brother’s house was just what she needed so imagine her surprise when she encounters a naked man wandering around her new home. The fireworks come alive as she verbally spars with Grant. Since they were both given the same promise they have to learn to live together. This book will definitely have you laughing all the way through it as both characters try to make the best of the situation. I definitely loved reading this story and look forward to reading more from this talented author.

Loved it! Ms. Dangelico is the master at slow burn romance!

When Amanda takes her son, Sam to her brother's house in the Hamptons to spend the summer, she is unexpectedly surprised by her houseguest, Grant, her brother's NFL teammate. HOT! (THAT COVER...YUM!) And he's naked! Hahaha! Oh, and a total jerk face! So rude and nasty while recovering from an injury.

What a ride! I felt a total connection to the characters. Grant and Sam's interaction was awesome!

For those of you who have read the other books in this series and loved them, I highly recommend this one.

This is my first read by this author. The book is third in a series but was easily read as a stand alone. The hero is in the NFL but most of the book takes place away from football so not really a sports romance. What it is a light contemporary romance with lots of humor, kids and dogs and yoga, naked beach bods and a delightful enemies to friends to lovers trope.

Grant is rehabbing his injury in the Hamptons at his friends house. Amanda plans on staying the summer at her brother's beach house but is not aware that Grant is already there. They start off with a bang and things spiral from there.

Loved that this is an over 30 couple. Life experience has been rough on both of them. Great setting, great friends and just a great escape kind of read.

I enjoyed this book and I like this author. At times I felt it was slowly moving along. I will definitely continue to read P. Dangelico’s books because overall she can write very interesting stories.

This was a cute love/hate story. I was laughing at times and wanting to kill Grant at other times. He definitely was hard to love as the series implies. But once you go to know him, WOW!!

My only complaint was at times the child seemed to disappear. As a parent we all know how likely that is to happen, but in this book it happened often.

Otherwise I loved this story and loved Grant!

For some reason, as of late, I have found several new to me authors that seemed to have grabbed my attention. I was scrolling through Netgalley looking for another page turner and stumbled upon BULLDOZER. The reviews looked good and I was approved right away! Hot diggity damn! My nose was stuck in this book from the first to last page. Another one sitting read for me. Yes it’s a sports romance, also enemies to lovers with a very slow burn feel. I loved it and let me tell you why! It’s not your typical run of the mill sports romance. No these two have been through quite trying times. They are in their mid-thirties and both have some baggage. I wouldn’t say broken, well because both know where they came from and how they got to where they are in life. Basically more mature characters and maybe just maybe that’s why I adored this book so much.

Sooo that being said- let’s chat about our hero: Grant Hendricks, grumpy, angry and an ailing football player and our heroine; Amanda Shaw ex model, recovering alcoholic, single mom to Sam, a ten year old adorable sweet, curious shy boy.

Grant is a huge Thor like man, very private and incredibly grouchy. He is recovering from a very difficult surgery from an injury he sustained while on the football field. He is a top NFL football player and finds, unfortunately his career is winding down. Football is all he knows, therefore he is fighting the end tooth and nail. One of his teammates offers him his beach house to recover. Unbeknownst to Grant his team mate also told his sister she could use the beach house while she finishes the final touches on her new, soon to open yoga studio in the area.

Amanda has had a very difficult life. It hasn’t always been easy for her. Raised in a trailer park with seven brothers and two very non involved alcoholic parents. She finds her way out with the help of a very caring neighbor. Because of her 5’11” stature, as well as her stunning looks she becomes a model, which unfortunately doesn’t last long. She turns to alcohol and drugs to cope with her not so stellar circumstances. With extremely hard work and determination as well as a stint in rehab, Amanda finds her way out of rock bottom. She is raising a young boy that has become her life. He comes first and it is evident to anyone around her.

When Amanda enters her brothers home to an absolute mess, pizza boxes litter the home as well as beer cans…and and AND, a huge gorgeous naked man is standing in the kitchen! Yes NAKED…all huge muscles hanging out as well as a very well endowed appendage just all out in the open hanging out (errr or down) just staring at her! Grant is cocky and arrogant and completely ignores everything about Amanda, he can’t be bothered with her. Grant is so rude it baffles her. As time goes on they develop a respectful relationship. Amanda has come a long way and refuses to be disrespected by anyone, especially in front of her son.

There really isn’t much more I need to say because well umm spoilers. So grab this wonderful book, it was funny, emotional, a tad sad but overall incredibly enjoyable. Slow burn at its best! BULLDOZER is my first book by P. Dangelico and certainly won’t be my last.

Title: Bulldozer
Series: Hard to Love Book #3
Stand Alone Title: yes
Author: P. Dangelico
Genre: Romance, New Adult
Blurb: What happens when a single mother is forced to live with a grumpy, ailing football star? The smolder turns red hot of course.

Amanda Shaw has pulled it together. It’s taken a couple of years, a boatload of hard work, and a ton of self-discipline, but she finally has her problems in a headlock. Her yoga studio in the city has become so successful she’s opening one near the beach, and her relationship with her ten year old son is improving every day. The last thing she needs is a monkey wrench thrown into her smoothly running life.

Grant Hendricks is one big monkey wrench. The four time Defensive Player of the Year, three time NFL sack leader, and all around football god has officially hit rock bottom. A devastating back injury means he may have to retire and that scares him more than doctors telling him the next hit could leave him paralyzed. All he needs is a quiet place to think and his teammate’s beach house sounds like just the place. Problem is, the woman already living there.
Favorite quote(s): “I like being around you. I like everything about you…everything. This is the best summer I have ever had,” he says so softly it’s barely above a whisper. “You’re the best time I’ve ever had.”
“I’ll give it to you, baby. I’ll give you everything you want just stay with me.”
Thoughts: It’s been awhile since I’ve reviewed a book that I rated so highly – A++! I was excited and thrilled when I read this – because I knew I found a great new author!! P. Dangelico is simply AMAZING! I had never read a book by her before…more than likely because it was listed as New Adult on Netgalley and that is typically not one of my favorite genres. Which is probably why I dragged my feet to start it and put off reviewing it for a bit. Something about this book just appealed to me though and I requested it anyway - and I have never been more pleasantly surprised. No joke, after this book I literally bought anything else by P. Dangelico that I could get my hands (or kindle!) on! She has a particular writing style that is just so appealing, a flair with words and one-liners that makes you laugh, and a sweet yet current and modern way of writing romance that makes your heart feel light-hearted and bursting with emotion at the same time. I honestly can’t rave enough but this author – believe me, she is a one-click author for sure. I’m not even reading the blurb anymore before I buy! She’s just…that…good. Period.
Now, about the book – Bulldozer is very much a slow burn romance, one that just keeps building and building before things come to a head. I love Dangelico’s characters, as well, very down to earth and say what they want to say….usually in a blunt, hilarious fashion. Amanda is not just frank with others, either, but with herself….she’s not blind to her behaviors in the past, she accepts it, and she’s doing her best to make herself a better person. She knows her flaws, her weaknesses, and she overcomes it…but also knows that her struggles don’t stop there….it is a continuous process. The attraction between Amanda and Grant is immediate, but sort of in the background due to some past history. As readers, we get to see the slow evolution of their relationship which makes it that much sweeter. The fact that Amanda has a child and we see the dynamics of his relationships to makes it even more poignant.
I have to say this is the most enjoyable book I have read in a good long time!

Rating: A++

Very good read (I really like this author's works)

Slow build up of a story between single mom Amelia and ex-football player Grant. Her son Sam is adorable and not the least bit obnoxious. I think what I loved the most about this story was the humor and the lack of annoying instant love that I read so often. Their story developed slowly, and much more realistically than mosts romance stories.

Bulldozer is my first book by P. Dangelico but it certainly won’t be my last! This book was wonderful. It gave me all the happy feels and I’m always looking for more authors that can do slow burn well. This author definitely can!

Amanda Shaw and her son Sam are staying at her brother’s house for the summer. Her brother, a former NFL player, has a nice place where she can work and get some time with her kid. It’s all planned out. Until she shows up and finds Grant there. Grant is her brother’s former teammate who was injured. Grant is also naked. It’s an interesting start for these two. I loved their back and forth and banter. It made me laugh out loud more than once.

Deep down, Grant is a real sweetheart. He starts to grow on Amanda and is amazing with her son. Amanda hasn’t had the easiest life but she’s a great mom and is turning it around. She doesn’t trust easy, and she’s a tough nut to crack, but Grant just may be the guy that can do it.

Grant was legit my perfect hero. Sure he was a bit of jerk at the start, but not in a bad way. But OMG he more than made up for it later. I adored him so much! I liked Amanda, too, but she had moments, towards the end especially, that even though I understood to an extent, frustrated me beyond belief. Both of these two deserved a love like this so much and I rooted for them both so hard! Together they were so swoony! I mean, just read this quote *sigh*

“You’re everything a girl could wish for.”
“Did you wish for me?” He looks a little lost and a lot anxious. How can he not know his value? How can he not know he’s the best thing since the invention of fire, and Krispy Kreme donuts and drive-thru Starbucks and e-readers? How can he not know that I love him completely and entirely? I place a chaste kiss on his lips. “No. But only because I stopped believing men as good as you existed.”

This book was most definitely a win for me. I loved the slow burn romance, the enemies to friends to lovers storyline and I always love when one of the MC’s is a single parent. It was a fantastic read. I can’t wait to read more of the books from Dangelico’s ‘Hard to Love’ series, but I’ve got to say- these characters were so easy for me to love!! If you’re looking for a swoon-worthy here and a sweet, sexy, emotional, and laugh out loud funny romance, check this book out! You won’t be disappointed.

Amanda Shaw has overcome a lot in her life and she is not complaining. She has a wonderful son, a yoga studio with a friend and partner that is thriving, and being sober for three years. Now she is going to spend the summer in the Hamptons at her brother’s house in order to open a second studio. Everything should be looking up, except her son does not want to go with his father for two weeks, does not know why they have to leave the city, New York oh and when she arrives at said house it looks like a party has been going on. As she goes further inside she is shocked, surprised to see standing in the kitchen in his full birthday suit none other than Grant Hendricks. He is a four time defensive player of the year among other things and her brother’s former teammate since her brother retired. Now he is throwing off her chi. finding out that he is recovering from back surgery she has to make it work. It is not working for weeks, with him or the building they are wanting to use as a studio. Everything changes when Sam asks her questions about a word at the grocery store. Once home they have a come to Jesus moment with her spraying him with the garden hose. After this you really begin to see both characters more. You only saw Amanda at first but now the author starts reveling Grant and when this happens the book takes a very good turn and has some surprises as well. Overall a very good book with very good characters and very much worth the read.

BULLDOZER is an intense, funny love story about two flawed people falling for each other and trying their hardest to resist their feelings. This is the third book in the Hard to Love series and each book is a stand alone but all the characters are interconnected. The stories revolve around the world of professional football. This one is about Grant, a linebacker, recovering from back surgery.

Grant and Amanda are thrown together when they discover they are both staying at Amanda's brothers beach house. Grant is not happy when he finds himself sharing a house with Amanda and her eight year old son and he lets Amanda know it at every opportunity. Grant and Amanda are realistic, unforgettable characters. I easily connected with them and was cheering for them as they slowly put their shields down and let themselves enjoy being with each other. I laughed at all their bantering and arguing and cried at their lack of confidence in themselves. This well written, slow burn story sucked me in and held me spellbound.

Amanda was a wild child and she still feels guilty for all of her past mistakes. She has low expectations from life because she has had so many bad breaks. She doesn’t allow herself to enjoy life because she doesn’t think she deserves it. Her only goal is to be the best mom possible and to see her son smile. She has a lonely existence working at her yoga studio and taking care of her son.

Grant has dedicated his life to football and he is one of the best linebackers in the league. His life is empty of love, family or friendship and he has a lot of secrets that he keeps locked up inside him. Not only is Grant dealing with recovery from back surgery and wondering if he can still compete, he also has issues from his childhood, which make him shy away from relationships. Under Grant’s gruff exterior, he is thoughtful, sensitive, caring and Amanda is it for him. He is also wonderful with Amanda’s son, Sam.

I loved all the sexual tension between Grant and Amanda. I was cheering them on and at other times, yelling at them. They have no idea how a relationship works or how to be in one. I loved the banter between them and all the funny lines. I highly recommend this one.

Bulldozer completely stole my heart.

From the very beginning I knew I was in for a ride. And boy, what a ride it was!

I cannot say I fell hopelessly in love with Grant, quickly. For at least the fourth part of the story I kept asking myself why he was such a jerk. And let me say that this question was in Amanda's mind too. But even when I was doubting his potential of love interest, I got glimpses of who he truly was, a kind, caring and a bit of scared man.

With those moments, my feelings and Amanda's, grew a little bit more on the positive side of the scale but still not quite enough to open our hearts completely to his grumpy self. Little did I know that he was already stealing them, without us knowing.

My love for Grant was not inmediat, but with every turn of the pages he sure took a piece of me with him. The development of his character took my breath away. I loved getting to know him through Amanda. And her? She is such an amazing character, I loved her strenght and her personality. I loved how real her character was, I could relate  to her and understand her.

These two were perfect for each other, my heart was beating faster and hared with the build up in their relationship and their delicious slow burn romance.  I fell for them and with them through the story. And let's not forget Roxy and Sam, these two add so much fun and heart to it.

Heartfelt and deliciously swoony.

I have to be honest, I was nervous about Amanda being the heroine after book 1 (She is the hero from book 1 sister)

But I really liked her. She owned up to her previous issues and was trying her best.

Grant I really disliked as did Amanda to start with, and I was at the point of "seriously just ring your brother and get him chucked out of the house" when Bam, you are all of a sudden rooting for him. Your opinion of him begins to change as you realise how vulnerable and damaged he is.

I adore an enemies to lovers story, and a slow build too, and this was pure perfection, with two troubled characters, with hard pasts, who come to realise they don't hate each other and infact need each other.

And Grant with Sam!!! Swoon.....

However, I felt like I wanted to get to know Grant a bit more than we did. It felt like we barely scratched the surface with the grumpy, vulnerable complicated lovely ass hole man he is!

All in a great 4.5 stars. Almost a 5, i just wanted to know more of Grant.

What a fantastic book. Amanda was so amazing, trying to find redemption from her past, with humor and grit. I really admired her perseverance and strength. And her love for her son was beautiful. Grant was an adorable vulnerable teddy bear hiding behind an a$$hat persona. Boy did sparks fly when they were in the same vicinity of each other! I am jumping for joy that I have found a new author to love. ♥♥♥

4.5 ”You’re my one” Stars!
Amanda Shaw is a single mom living in New York. She was the poster child for bad choices in her 20’s, and now all she wants to do is focus on her son and be a great mom. They are headed to her brother Cal’s beach house in the Hamptons for the summer while she gets her newest yoga studio up and running. She has everything planned out, and then she arrives at the house to find what she believes to be an intruder. There is a gorgeous mountain of a man she thinks is trespassing, but is actually her brother’s teammate.

Grant Hendricks is one of the most well known defensive players in the NFL. He plays for the NY team, the Titans, but he’s injured and facing possible retirement. He’s hit rock bottom and is wanting some time alone to think and get himself together out of the public eye. He’s recovering from surgery and his teammate is letting him stay at his beach house for as long as he needs to. Then unexpected guests arrive and ruin his peace and quiet.

Grant and Mandy quickly realize they are going to be roommates for the summer. They figure the house has enough space so hopefully they can just avoid each other, but that’s easier said than done. Even though the very large, big blond man in their house is ornery, he’s the sexiest guy Mandy has ever seen. The ill mannered giant looks like a Nordic God, but his sparkling personality could use some work. She needs to spend her time focusing on opening her studio on time, but with all the hot man on display she can’t seem to focus on anything but Grant. He’s become the shining star of all her filthy dreams. Then she begins to see a different side of him. There’s more to him than what’s on the surface. As a friendship forms they begin to both hunger for more. Their love/hate relationship transforms but they both have demons from their past to overcome. Mandy had long ago stopped believing men like Grant really existed, but could he be her happy ending?

Bulldozer is book three in the Hard to Love series, and can be read as a stand-alone. This was my first book by P. Dangelico, and I absolutely love her writing, and can’t wait to read more of her books! This story was hilarious and I adored this sweet football star. His beautiful heart will completely slay you. He’s dreamy book boyfriend perfection!!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is my first book by this author and it was amazing! It's the 3rd book in the Hard To Love series but it is a standalone. This book was so good that you will want to go read the ones before it. I know I do.
Amanda is a single mom and is opening a yoga studio. Her brother offered to let them stay in his beach house to save on money. Only when she gets there she quickly finds out they are not alone.
Grant is hiding out at his teammates beach house. He is recovering from back surgery and is tired of the press hounding him.
I love single mom/dad books. Being one for many years they just have a special place. Definitely recommend this book.

This was a great escapism read that captured my interest and kept me going through a busy work week. It is the kind of book I would have liked to read in a day on holiday, but it worked on the opposite intensity of life.

This is single mom territory with an older child (age 11) and the said child is not annoying but a welcome addition to the story. Mandy has her own background of issues prior to being the together parent and business owner she is at the start of the story. Grant is her brother’s teammate that is also staying at the beach house to recuperate from some surgery. Memo: Grant is a jacka$$. He’s ignorant, arrogant and a car crash around her child.

The story builds from there and I found myself invested in Mandy as a mother but also Mandy as a woman. Grant slowly began to show signs of being more than a neanderthal and the more I saw, the more I liked. His connection to Roxy and Sam were super sweet.

There was a slow build of chemistry and a believable friendship growth between these two. There are ex problems, addiction problems, business problems and more. It wasn’t overly angsty, just the right slice.

Although this is connected to a series, it stands alone, so if you haven’t read P Dangelico, you could start here and you’d likely want to then rewind to book one, Wrecking Ball.

I voluntarily read a copy of this book.

I really enjoyed this book, but the romance was a bit too angst-free, I needed at least some sort of conflict.

Sadly, I also couldn't fully connect with both Grant and Amanda, I adored Sam, though.
