I've read over 450 books this year and this was a new author to me. I read loads of sports romance but I must say this book was very fun to read. Angry Dude found waking around naked with heart shaped children's sunglasses inside your brother's house when you were led to believe it was yours for the summer was first scene and hilarious. Police arrive and instead of giving up, they work out rules or rather she does.

You see how this goes but there are a few blocks that come up. How they deal with them has their past going to their present with love thrown in the mix.

Fantastic read.

If you’re a fan of heroes who are rakish, fan-yourself-worthy hot, charming, covert sweethearts and professional athletes, you will fall hard for Grant in Bulldozer. He’s larger-than-life and irresistible, although Amanda tries hard not to like him when they first meet and become accidental roommates at a beach house for the summer. Initially, they rub each other in the wrong-but-oh-so-right way, but their contentious verbal exchanges quickly take a flirtatious turn and zing with sexual tension. Both of their lives are complicated right now and neither feels they are in a place to start a relationship, but they increasingly find themselves drawn to one another and willing to take the risk. Bulldozer is a witty, sexy and fun enemies-to-lovers romance with a hero and heroine you’ll cheer for and a love story so big that it can’t be contained.

Review will appear on USA Today HEA on November 12, 2018

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. I really liked this story, it wasn't complicated or distracting. Very well written, cute, and clever. Perfect for what I need at the moment.

"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet, sexy, sports romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

I once called P. Dangelico the new queen of the slow burn but now I just call her a magician. A sneaky, sly magician that makes you see one side of a character, then with a wave of her pen, she reveals so many hidden secrets.

Amanda left a bad taste in my mouth after her appearance in Wrecking Ball. A hot mess of a single mom, there seemed no way the spoiled Amanda who tried to come between her brother Cal and Cam could be one of P. Dangelico’s funny, flawed but strong heroines. Hence the author’s magic - I absolutely loved the real Amanda: a young woman struggling with insecurities, past mistakes, and the drive to make things right for her young son. The last thing Amanda thinks she needs is a surly, rude tenant in her brother’s beach house:

This unwanted houseguest is beginning to consume way too much of my already overtaxed brainpower. Too much strange behavior. Too many unanswered questions. Too much of a bad attitude. But most of all, too much nudity.

At first, Amanda is polite, even kind. But pro football player Grant piles on insult after insult, to the point that I was almost ready to DNF his rude self. Until Amanda finally gave into her inner Wonder Woman and blasts him with a pool hose:

“Go ahead and feel sorry for yourself. I don’t give a rat’s ass. Go ahead and watch porn to your hearts content. Booze it up all day long. Eat trash and neglect your physical therapy. No judgment––you’re a big boy. In theory. What you cannot do, however, is do it around my son. He’s been subjected to enough of that from me––well, I mean, except for the porn. The point is he will not be made to endure it from you. I’m calling my brother.”

With that, I throw the hose nozzle at him.

Go, Amanda! And just when I thought Grant was an unredeemable jerk, P. Dangelico waved her magic wand and made him the sweetest partner and support for Amanda. The way Grant is terrified of Amanda’s tears, the way he promises to buy her ten “Kimbles” when he breaks her e-reader, the way he tells her she’s a good mom to her son; heartmeltingly good.

The author’s formula revolves around redeeming cocky, arrogant, insufferable guys and it really works. Be prepared to love Amanda and hate Grant until you suddenly find yourself loving both of them.

If you love single parent and sport romance then you will love Bulldozer. Amanda you may have met in previous read Wrecking Ball (she is Calvin's sister). Now she is getting her life back on track and reconnecting with her son at her brother's vacation house. The only problem is that someone is already living there. Grant is Calvin's former teammate looking for a place to heal from back surgery. He comes off gruff at first but once you get to know him you will fall for him. There is this chemistry between that just grows and it's fun to watch this hate to love relationship form throughout the summer. Amanda is so strong and I love how she is changing her life not just for her but for her son too. This is such and amazing read. I really love Amanda and Grant together.

This is my first try at P. Dangelico and I'm not sure I'll be back. I like stories with athletes and don't mind the single mother angle but it took a looooooooooong time to warm up to Grant, an injured football star, and Amanda, a recovering alcoholic, who are forced to live together in her brother's Hampton mansion. (Don't ask.)

Their story is what is frequently referred to as "slow burn" and that doesn't bother me either. It's just that he starts out as a jerk, quite convincingly I might say, and she's always on the verge of breaking down. His transformation to dream boyfriend was abrupt and I didn't think she got it together until the Epilogue.

They eventually hook up, of course, but when they have the inevitable falling out she regresses to the kind of reactions and reasoning I'd hate to read in a YA novel. Two other peeves: Her 10-year-old son reads like he's 5 and that got tiresome very quickly. And there is a key plot point after Amanda ghosts Grant and he writes her dozens of love letters. This is supposed to sway her but the reader can't be sure because we don't read even one of the letters and if there was an excerpt, I missed it.

Finally, I have read several books this season with a heroine recovering from substance abuse. I know these plots and characters go in cycles and I'm wondering if it's a reaction to the last couple years when it seems the women in the novels were drinking all the time and reached for alcohol whenever something went wrong. Or right. Or just OK. I'm not a teetotaler but it got to the point it was prominent enough for me to notice. I guess a "course correction" is in order for those who follow the trends in romance.

Some of the dialog made me laugh and there is a great rescue dog to amuse us and foreshadow who we should like and who we shouldn't. As a dog lover that's not a reach for me.

"Bulldozer" is part of a series (and I'm not sure which one of them IS the 'bulldozer') and I may go back and read the first one to see if I'm missing anything. Publishers and authors always insist their series contain "stand alone" books that can be read in any order. Time to find out, I guess.

ARC received for an honest review.

If you can get through the first 2 chapters (I won't lie... I struggled), then you will see how this book is awesome! I really enjoyed Grant and Amanda. This book reminded me of 'The Wall of Winnipeg and Me' by Mariana Zapata. Which is one of my all time favorites!

Amanda and her son are staying at her brother's house while she opens a new yoga studio. Little did she know, her brother also told his fellow football teammate he could use his house to mentally/physically heal himself.
You guessed it... these two do not get a along. At all!
At least not at first. Grant accepts her olive branch of a cooked meal each night and then develops a friendship with her son. Next thing you know, he is all protective of her.

Let me not spoil the story. Just know, I highly recommend this one.

This is my first book by this author. It is book 3 in the series, but I felt it could be read on its own. Now I need some book money to read the first two! :)

I continue to hold true to my belief it seems impossible not to love this new series by P. Dangelico. I tore through Wrecking Ball, book 1, leaving a rare 5 star review in its wake. Sledgehammer earned a solid 4 stars. Now, Bulldozer is pushing its way up the high rating charts, as well.

Amanda, the sassy, scrappy, doesn’t back down, snarky at times, resilient, caring, mother lioness heroine was a perfect match for Grant, the handsomely hot, has hidden issus, brooding hero. Sure, he came across as quite a narcissistic, nudist, antagonist type jerk at first, but we learn to love him, folks. A completely different side to him gets revealed. Who would have thought he was shy at times and a blusher.

The witty, sarcastic at times, back and forth banter was hilarious. Told only from her point of view, Amanda’s inner monologues had me chuckling aloud, but also tapped me into her pain of past mistakes/regrets and now insecurities regarding her motherhood capabilities.

She truly did want to be the best mom she could be. However, I didn’t really approve of her sit down conversation with her ten year old son informing him Grant would now be sleeping in her bed. Considering the emotional turmoil the little guy was experiencing getting to know his caring only when it was convenient, biological father, I felt she and Grant should have kept things on the low down, especially since the summer was almost over and their relationship was still very much up in the air.

I did applaud her “make a choice, buddy” stance regarding a life changing decision Grant now had to make.

Two brief M/M romance scripted readings took me by surprise. I couldn’t decide if it was included for a reason or just thrown in for the sake of including it, mainly because of how it was incorporated into the final wrap-up of the epilogue.

Overall, I definitely do tend to thoroughly enjoy this author’s writing style and simply can’t wait to see what she has planned for us next.

So. I really liked this story... but I had to overlook A LOT of things in it to come to that conclusion. It was very rough (it’s an ARC so I expected that, but this was REALLY ROUGH.) It was disjointed and I never really felt like I got to know Grant... But I still really liked it. Go figure!! With a little bit of TLC, I think this could be so good.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by Netgalley)...

4.75 stars

This story follows Amanda who is Calvin’s sister from Wrecking Ball.

I had so much fun reading this book especially with Grant’s antics in the beginning aka Mr Nudity. I really felt for Amanda you can tell she has come a long way from the woman we saw in Wrecking Ball. The interactions between Amanda and Grant always had some type connection from the start, whether it was deep dislike or serious sexual tension.

I love a good slow burn but not to slow and this book had a perfect pace. There was never a dull moment and I was truly sad when the book was over. I hope there will be more books; maybe focused on Dev, Amanda’s best friend.

I completely disliked Ronan, I mean I give him props for stepping up but he was total turdburger.

Emotional, hilarious, hot, and a slow burn that was written so well I hardly have the words to convey how this book moved me. So incredibly relatable and full of past mistakes with new chances, this book will make you want to cry and laugh all at the same time. Awesome secondary characters along with a couple of favorites, this is has to be the authors best book yet.

This is the best surprise I got from a new author and book I’m reading. I was a bit nervous but not even 2 pages in, the writing was amazing. It continued as I read on but what caught my attention was the way the words seem to flow, it’s a key thing I look for because it makes the story so much better, enough of anticipation, info and words that collide well. I think I might have fallen in love with Grant the moment he stood buckeye naked in the kitchen by the fridge drinking milk. Athletes and naked, yeah they go well together I think. When poor Amanda came upon that, well for one she couldn’t miss the good gifts god graced him with but surprise, she was never told by her stupid idiot brother that one of his teammates was staying at the beach house also. Do they all get along? Yes and no, Yes because Sam Amanda’s son and Grant do…oh and the dog but Amanda and Grant, not so much. Amanda ends up going on a date with a dude-bro guy, whole Grant shows up at the same restaurant with two girls. Shocker, right! Why cant men just, oh I don’t know realize their shit sooner and fess up. When a almost tragedy happens, Grant comes to realization and Amanda doesn’t take too long after. What happens when your son takes a 2 week leave to his dads on the other side of the country? You're left with Grant who recreates your prom. Oh and the steamiest sex , of course. I already loved the book starting off but ending it, can I not? Makes me happy to read a new book from a new author (to me) and it turning out to be something I tend to read and really enjoyed it. ☆☆☆☆☆ hands down!!

This book started out good. I wasn't 100% wild about the dialogue in the beginning because it was sounding a little matronly despite the h being so young, but it wasn't terrible so I moved past it.

At first I really liked the enemy thing Amanda and Grant had going on. I thought the situations they found themselves in together were hilarious and sometimes fairly cringe worthy so I was really liking that.

Where it wrong for me? When they started falling for each other. It felt like I turned a page and all of the sudden they had feelings for each other. There was no natural build up; it was like the moment when they should have gone over that hump from enemies to lovers just wasn't there. One page they didn't like each other, the next they did. It felt really unnatural and therefore didn't make me believe their love. Also, Amanda was so wishy washy. One minute she's fine with everything, the next she is SO DRAMATIC when she just said everything was fine. Then Grant would kiss her and "OMG I'M TOTALLY FINE NOW..." turn the page "OMG I JUST CAN'T DEAL!" turn the page "No.. I'm seeing reason I'm good.." you get the picture. She is very juvenile and cannot make a decision to save her life. Maybe that's why Sam is the way he is. Ugh.

I also didn't like how the themes of this book were handled. Both Amanda's and Grant's issues were mentioned often, but I never felt like we had more information regarding either person's struggles beyond "this is what happened to me." Alcoholism and domestic abuse are very serious topics and therefore should be heavily researched and correctly handled if they're going to be a focal point in the story. It felt like they were thrown in there just for the sake of excuses and the author didn't look beyond that. Not to mention the whole Ronan thing was completely unnecessary and added very little to the story, in my opinion.

Let's talk about my next issue. Sam. He's allegedly 10 almost 11 and he was written as if he was 5 or 6. Seriously. I have a 7 year old and he wouldn't act or talk like this kid does. Every kid is different of course, but he just came off so babyish. I had a really hard time believing that he was as old as he was.

I started off writing this with a 3 star rating and then bumped it down because I realized how much actually bothered me in this book. I was absolutely able to finish it because I really liked the story line, but I did end up skimming the last probably 30% of the book. The first half was really good, it was just the back half that ruined it for me. Unfortunately I would not recommend this book.

I didn’t realize when I requested this one that it was the third book in this series. Since I really dig this authors writing, I purchased the first two books and read all three over the past couple of days. Even though I’m not a fan of the slow burn, all three had it and I didn’t mind too much because I really like the stories and the characters. I’d say this one is more serious than the other two, not as many giggle worthy scenes like in Sledgehammer. I applaud Amanda on turning her life around and being the best mom she can be to Sam. Grant was just okay for me. I didn’t really feel the heat between him and Amanda but that’s just me. I wished this one was in dual POV because sometimes I wanted to know what was going on in his head. I did like how he took to Sam, it was really sweet. The epilogue was so great. I like when we get years later. Overall I really enjoyed all three books and I’m so glad I read them.

I love this series, so I pounced when an ARC of this book became available at Netgalley!

Amanda is the sister of Calvin (book 1) and mother of 10-year-old Sam. I remember Amanda from the first book and was not really enamored with her, as she left Sam with Calvin while she was finding herself after rehab for alcoholism. But this book changed it all.

When Amanda and Sam arrive at Calvin and Camilla's beach house for the summer (while she oversees opening a new yoga studio) she finds a naked stranger in the kitchen and calls the police. So Amanda and Grant are off to a rough start. He is Calvin's team mate who is recovering from a serious spinal injury and is not happy to get Amanda as a roommate.
Now Amanda has to deal with naked, grumpy Grant all the time while dealing with the fact her ex wants to get to know his son better and threatens with filing for custody.

Another great book. I had some doubt in the beginning but soon I was engrossed in the story. The people in the books by this author seem so real. I am curious as to whether Amanda's best friend is getting a story. I finished in a couple of hours and closed the book with a satisfied sigh.

Hooked from the beginning to end! A slow burn enemies to lovers story. You can’t help but fall in love with Grant, he is so swoon worthy! Amanda is just trying to right the wrongs of her past and get through each day and shows how you can overcome hurdles in life. Together their chemistry and banter pulls you in as you devour this read. I highly recommend this book.

A heartwarmingly beautiful book that you won’t want to put down, this enemies to lovers style of story has a bit of everything, humour, chemistry, all the emotions and even some cringe worthy moments that make you laugh out loud. Amanda is a mother who is trying to be the best she can be and right past mistakes and Grant is hiding from the past and future, metaphorically digging his head in the sand. The way the characters come together is so beautifully done, I enjoyed every single second of this book!

It's been awhile since I read a contemporary romance that really captured me, but Bulldozer totally did. I loved Grant. He was the perfect brooding alpha. And surprisingly (for me) I really liked Amanda as well. Seeing Sam and Grant interact was another highlight. I loved the first of this series, and this book definitely lives up to that standard.

An amazing book - loved the slow-burn romance in the book. Amanda and Grant are my new favourite characters. Loved Sam as well :). P. Dangelico, take a bow! :)
