This book is very simple. It's really designed for babies so there isn't much plot. Just very simple sentences and bright colors. It's great for this target audience but won't be much fun for older kids.

Short, sweet, and colorful with simple yet engaging illustrations. And who wouldn’t love a blue pollka dot bunny? Bunmy rides a bicycle with his friend Colombino. They go up a hill and become tired. So, they take a nap. “Meanwhile, the leaves turn yellow” and fall down. The tree is cold. Bunny puts on a warm red sweater . . . and so on. Part of the “Kika’s First Books” series - and aptly described as a “first” book. This one is for beginning readers only.

The thing I really like about Fall is Coming is the main character, a rabbit with white fur and cool blue polka dots.

The sentences are very short and easy, which is perfect for the target group first readers.

The illustrations are nice, but nothing spectacular or memorable. Mostly the pictures are kept simple and often show just one item, a sun, a tree, etc.

The real let down is the lack of a story which makes any sense.
We see our rabbit going on a bike ride with his friend, a bird who goes by the name of Colombino (which is for young kids difficult to pronounce).
They have a rest under a tree and fall asleep. In the meantime autumn arrives, the leaves fall off and the trees feel cold. (oh well.)
Rabbit puts on a sweater (what happened to his fur?) and goes back to school and draws a sun with his coloured pencils.

I think, the funky rabbit deserves a much better story.

This is a very cute little book about the arrival of fall. Nothing out of this world about it - just a nice introduction to the season, and to wishing for another season almost immediately, as one of the characters draws a bright sunshine toward the book's end. Mostly I nabbed this because I wanted to see a little more of the funky polka dot rabbit!

This is an extremely simple story about a bunny and her friend and what they do in the fall. There is not much of a story, but there are some simple pictures and the text describes what is happening in the pictures. My granddaughter sat and listened to the book, but when it was done, she just handed me something else and asked me to read it. This was not a winner for us. Thanks to Xist publishing for a copy of this book to read and review.

This book has appealing and somewhat comical illustrations. The story is told in simple declarative sentences with a sense of humor. A cute read for a young child.

1.5 stars.

Ok, so this is a child's "First Book" so I was expecting it to be extremely easy to read and very few words. But I was also expecting there to be a plot or some kind of story. Instead by the end of th ebook my first thought was, "Huh?" It made no sense and seemed to go from one story to another just suddenly. I think that this might confuse little children because even at 33 I am confused. Still the illustrations were as you would expect. Basic and very colourful so I did like them and that is where the extra half star comes in as a bonus. I probably wouldn't recommend this.

The bright red colour of this colour immediately drew my eye. You can tell it is an Autumn themed book and it looks fun and inviting.

This book is so simple and fun. I will say, I expected a little more information about Autumn, other than the leaves change colour, fall off and then the tree is cold.

That being said, this is a short and sweet picture book. Great for little developing minds.

A bunny and his friend go up a hill, the leaves fall off the trees, bunny puts on a sweater, goes to school, draws a picture of the sun. Not a lot of interesting story here, but probably good for readers just learning to read for themselves since there are lots of easy words. I liked the bright colors in the pictures.

A rabbit and a bird go on a bike ride, take a nap, and wake up to find the day has gotten cold. Rabbit learns to dress up. . . and that’s it.
As simple as children’s books are, this one is even more so, with big illustrations and minimal text. There just isn’t much of a story. There’s certainly no lesson, as any kid old enough to read this knows what to do when they’re cold.
2.5 pushed up to 3/5
