Such a charming read. I'm sure younger reader will fall in love with it. Allen has created a world that's all to much fun to be immersed in.

This is a cute book about the good and bad sides to magic or just about anything. Although it seems to stop and start and sometimes rush through, I did enjoy reading it.

A fun fantasy tale starring a set of twins in a magical world where twins aren't allowed. I loved the exploration of identity in this as the girls go on an adventure where they get to truly be themselves instead of having to pretend to be one person. It's an interesting magical world, too. The events of this book leave questions for the sequel about how things might change in the future for this kingdom. Be sure to add this to your family or classroom library if your readers are a fan of fantasy and magical stories!

I really enjoyed this book. It was full of magic and adventure and had such a neat premise. It had plot twists and character development like any great story. Even as an adult I found it enchanting and I know the students in my library will as well. I can't wait to share it with them!

Sara and Flissa are twins in a kingdom where twins and magic are against the law. Together they make up one princess named Flissara, one remains hidden while the other one goes about daily princess duties. When their mother Queen Latonya was pregnant with them, a Dark Magic Uprising began. The twins were saved, but one always had to be hidden. When their mother gets cursed, Sara and Flissa go to the "Twists" to try to find the person they suspect cursed her. They have to hide from the Keepers who are considered "heroes" by some, but to the girls, they are suspicious of them all. Galric helps lead the girls to the "Twists" were his father is.

A great fantasy adventure with strong female protagonists for middle grade readers!

I received this E-ARC via Disney Book Group and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I requested this awhile back and thought it sounded interesting. Unfortunately it wasn't for me.

I found the prologue to be very info-dumpy. I felt like sleeping while reading the it. I didn't care for the plot, characters, or the world. So I decided to DNF.

I did find it interesting that the royal family kept the twins a secret. But ultimately that didn't save the book.

I still recommend. I'm sure others will enjoy it more.

A delightful book about twins, who for 11 years have tried to be one person, that discovery the truth about many things ... themselves, magic and the history of their country. It's a refreshing look at the bonds of identical twins as they go on their first adventure together. I look forward to the continuation of their story.
