I enjoy Melinda Curtis' books. This was no exception. I liked that the story wasn't as guessable as I first thought. The town buyout/ cousin twist was a nice plot feature. A fun read.

Ella is a single mother who is co-inheriting a small down Second Chance, Idaho and is getting the scope of the town. Little did she expect to fall in love with Noah Bishop the small town doc.

This was a pretty cute and heartwarming book. Ella hasn't had the best childhood, then manages to find the love of her life and he die a month after their child is born. Her late husbands family hasn't been all that supportive either. There there was Noah who had is own sort of hang ups that lend him to be a small town doc in Second chance. I loved seeing that connection between Ella and Noah and seeing him soft towards her and her daughter as well as others was cute af. This was a sweet contemporary romance and I really enjoyed reading it.

Kissed by the Country Doc is the first in the Monroe series and is centered around a single mother named Ella and her toddler daughter. When a death in the family causes more shock and confusion for the Monroe dynasty a few siblings head out to Second Chance, Idaho to investigate the newly inherited town. Ella who married into the family is struggling with wanting to keep her Monroe family or find that second chance love that everyone wishes for. Noah Bishops the country doctor may also find that love goes far beyond just one person by learning to love yourself as well. Both of these people will find their second chance in the lest likely places.
This book was cute and enjoyable, some parts I felt where a little rushed, but overall was a cute story.

“Kissed by the Country Doc” begins The Mountain Monroes miniseries by Melinda Curtis.

When Harlan Monroe dies, the reading of the will shakes up the lives of the Monroe clan.
Ella Monroe and her daughter, along with a few family members, travel to Second Chance, Idaho to see the town Harlan left to them. Once there, they meet the locals, who are closemouthed on why Harlan bought the town.
For Ella, who married into the family and is widowed, one local stands out from the rest. Dr. Noah Bishop.
Noah is in Second Chance because his career as an orthopedic surgeon ended after an accident. Noah is tasked to keep an eye on Ella since she has a real estate degree. But then, Ella and her daughter are snowed in at Noah’s cabin and it’s there when Noah and Ella acknowledge their attraction. Except, they both need to believe in their own selves before being able to have happiness together.

With a twist on the Beauty and the Beast fairytale, Ms. Curtis pens a story that makes you believe this town and its people actually exist and that you are a part them.
I look forward to meeting more of the Mountain Monroes and visiting the town of Second Chance.

Beauty and Miracles happen in the little town of Second Chances…

Noah is known for his tenacious attitude, a once top Orthopedic Surgeon Noah is not short on (I am King Syndrome). After a serious accident Noah came to find himself in Second Chance. As the towns and surrounding towns own doctor, Noah is able to hide from his past. But for how long? Not long enough it seems, coming in contact with the fearless Ella and the heart tugging Penny how was any man survive the duo.

Ella a widow, mother and a family member of the well know Monroe’s. Ella after Hezzies (Grandfather Monroe) Death and the reading of his will, finds herself as with the other family members who choose to see what type of place Second Chance was on an adventure. What Ella and the family discover is so much more.

Noah and Ella first meeting goes as most do when you have attractive elements in the works. Noah is hiding his true flawed self, but all Ella can see is a brilliant man who needs to return to what he loves being a doctor despite his handicap. Ella has always wanted someone to stay. Foster child moving from home to home not because she was not wanted because life took her choices away. Then being left after her husbands death, being thrust into Monroe family dynamics she holds her heart close. The joy in her life is her sweet daughter Penny. (Who in my opinion is delightful.) Can Ella risk her heart only to have Noah walk away? As for the heat factor even tough there was kissing only, you as the reader can feel the passion between Noah and Ella.

Supporting characters were positively wonderful. Penny (Ella’s Daughter), Shane, Laurel, Sophie, Sophie twins, Odette, Ivy, Mitch, Mack, Roy as well as the Town of Second Chance. All add their on fun take on Kissed by the Country Doctor. Their antics were priceless as well as their love for each other and the town the Monroe’s came to know. Yes even the cankerous Odette.

The plot to Kiss by the Country Doctor is a sweet contemporary romance with stellar character’s who draw you in too wanting to know their whole story. A town with a lot of charm, memories and secrets. I for one am besides myself that I have to wait till June 2019 for the next book in this the The Mountain Monroe’s series. Melinda Curtis is a new author to me, but I am soon going to fix that fact. Ms. Curtis created such a loving plot with some interesting plot twist, I could not wait too see what happened next.

Enjoyable, An unusual story, but a little too open-ended for me. A lot of set-up for things I presume will develop in other books in the series. The resolution of this plot seemed just a little abrupt to me. Still, well-written, if simple.
