TBD -to be determined- by Patricia E Gitt.
About to quit her job as vice president of corporate communications, Katherine Cunningham jumps at the unexpected opportunity of assisting Thomas Sweeney, CEO of Marathon Nutritionals, as he rushes to resolve a corporate crisis.
The CFO having been blackmailed, embezzled $800,000 from the Sweeney Family Foundation. Should word of his actions become known, the company would incur damages to not only the competence of its leadership, but to its reputation as a leading manufacturer of high quality nutritional supplements.
With her paranoid female boss away on vacation, Katherine becomes part of a small group of insiders bent on tracking down the blackmailer, eliminating threats to the disgraced executive and potentially damaging the company.
Katherine's life has been on hold her career going nowhere and her social life stalled. Would this assignment get her fired or free her to rebuild her life? Her future is yet to be determined.
Really enjoyable read. I do like this author. 5*.

Great read. The author wrote a story that was interesting and moved at a pace that kept me engaged. The characters were easy to invest in.

Something is wrong at Marathon Nutritionals, the snack food company, Katherine Cunningham works for. Actually, she toils away, mugged constantly by her boss Sandra Charney, senior vice president corporate communications. But currently Ms. Charney is on vacation, and Katherine is summoned by the firm's illustruous CEO Thomas Sweeney, to help him solve a problem. Because he is blackmailed, and charming Mr. Sweeney needs support to find out, who tries to benefit. Tbd is a quite entertaining mix of romance cum mystery (or thriller). A bit superficial, yet a nice read on a lazy day or two on the beach. Thank you Net Galley, for having made this novel available for a review.

Finished 50% of the book, then 80% and no action. They were looking for the blackmailer and meeting a lot but nothing, no mystery, no thriller. I couldn't find anything spectacular. I like the ideea of the book, even the characters, but that's all, an ideea.
Thank you Netgalley for this copy.

This was an Ok story; started out with some promise but the story deteriorated into a saccharine romance way too quickly. The little flutters of a plot get lost in rugged good looks, unerring instincts to do and say the right thing and an impossibly loving relationship.

The bad guy is pretty obvious and some of the characters are right out of the Nancy Drew playbook. At least the ending was ok.
