As a teen, I read all of the Sierra and Christy Miller series so I was thrilled to find this new book by Robin Jones Gunn with characters from those books. I loved all of the new characters and could identify with many of the things that they were each going through. This was a really lovely read and I hope there are more to come.

I wasn't really sure what this book was going to be about in the beginning, and it did take some time to get into it. There is one pivotal event, however, about 1/4 of the way through, that really draws the reader right into the story, and it's easy flowing from there on out. Each of the women in this group has their own crosses to bear, and several have secret struggles, but somehow they work to make each other whole. There is a lot about miscarriage and infant loss, so if this is something you struggle with, you should know that ahead of time. There's no real stopping point in this book...it's more of a see-how-they-flow ending...and that left me wanting some sort of closure. However, I liked how each of the women brought their distinct flair to the group and made it what it was.
