The writing is a pleasant wrapping for a good concept; the author refrains from too much exposition, but also doesn't really push the story anywhere unexpected.
A strong female lead has much to recommend it, and Elaine does not disappoint!

Sadly I had to DNF this book. It was just not for me.
However the premise of this book is great, the plot, the setting and the characters were also good, but for some reason I just could not get into the story. This is by far not a bad book and I would recommend picking it up and giving it a read if this is your sort of thing. I can't say there was anything bad about it just that I personally couldn't get through it.

I just could not get into it. Nor could I buy the supposed romance hero. Also it felt vaguely racist. Do not recommend.
