Sariah is one of my favorite authors.. I'll admit, I was a bit unsure about this book at first. The heroine, Ashton, was so whiny. Get over your years-old grudge already! Happily, the story only got better, and it wasn't long before I was hooked. As per the norm for Sariah's books, the chemistry between the hero and heroine was off the charts. The romance is clean, but I wouldn't necessarily define it as sweet. There's no sex, but it's spicy enough to make you shiver with anticipation. Highly recommended!

Beyond the awful flashbacks to Colton’s terrible season on the Bachelor (truly, my kingdom to never have a show dissect virgin football players again), this was a delight. I did find the forgiveness on the heroine’s side a little too easily given/the hero a little too flawless, but they were cute soooo.

Book Review- Awestruck by Sariah Wilson

Aston wants to be a sports announcer. She works as an Intern for ISEN that can make it happen. However, her boss wants her to prove that Evan Dawson is a liar. Aston is asked to be underhanded and conniving to get the story. I love how she is extremely angry at Evan and wants revenge. I totally understand since her life in high school was affected in a devastating way.
The author reveals how she had been holding on to the anger and letting it affect her adult life. Ashton comes up with a plan to get the truth. I love how she comes face to face with Evan at a party. It was hilarious what she was doing and how it unfolds. Then Evan decides to plant himself in different aspects of her life. He exasperates her at every turn.
Evan is determined to apologize to her and make things up to her. He is at her every turn. She truly wants to kill he at times. It is fun to read. She is a great character. She also realizes that she can’t do what she is expected to do. Her true integrity comes to light. The ending was an emotional journey for the characters but a great read. I give it a 4 out of 5.

This was a different (in a good way) kind of story. Aston had dreams and was willing to do (almost) anything to achieve them. Evan had a reputation and goal he wanted to protect as well. I loved their history and how they came back together in the present. Their backstory enhanced the present day so much that it was just a fabulous story!

Quite an interesting story after #Moonstruck, I actually liked this one even more! Nothing like a good enemies-to-lovers romance, and we get that with Evan and Ashton. They're brought back together due to Evan's off-field image, and once they're back in the same orbit, the tension between them is palpable, almost tangible. Over the course of the book truths come out for both characters and I couldn't wait to see how everything would turn out for these two.

This is my first time reading this author! I found this to be a very light and quick read. It was very enjoyable!

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC.

I loved the previous book #Moonstruck, so when I saw this one available to read and review on NetGalley I requested it and crossed my fingers. When I got the email that I was approved I did my I-got-approved-to-read-a-book happy dance. Yes, there is such a thing and I know several of you have one too. #youknowyoudo

What would you do to get closer to having your dream job? How far would you go? What line(s) are you willing to cross, if any? Ashton Bailey finds herself having to contemplate these kinds of questions when her boss wants to prove quarterback Evan Dawson can't be as wholesome as he portrays himself to be. Ashton is the girl for the job since Evan broke her heart in high school (of course he didn't have a clue) she wants revenge. #hellhathnofurylikeawomanscorned. And that's how the story begins.

I could feel the sparks between Ashton and Evan as I read. I loved when they really opened up to each other and Ashton found out who was really behind her massive humiliation in high school. And what can I say about those super swoony kisses? #holymoly I was surprised when I found out why Ashton's boss really wanted to ruin Evan "Awesome" Dawson, but you'll get no spoilers from me.

I love Sariah Wilson's humor in her books. All the laugh out loud comments and moments that have me highlighting constantly. The characters are real--they have foot-in-mouth moments like regular people. You know when you just want to hide behind something or have the floor open up and swallow you right then and there.

Thanks to Montlake Romance and NetGalley for letting me read and review this book.

An old grudge and a sexy athlete....how could this story possibly go wrong? I'm glad to say it didn't! The heat between the two main characters in this book was intense and you know what they say about the thin line between love and hate! Sariah Wilson is a new author for me and I see a beautiful future for us! Read Awestruck. You won`t be disappointed.

So much fun!

I always forget how much I like Sariah Wilson's books when I'm not reading them--OMG, she really knows how to write! This one had me swooning almost as much as it did snickering, and clutching at my chest in despair more than once.

Ashton and Evan's story was simply wonderful. I loved that he was her unrequited love from high school--they'd been friends, but he actually ran with her older sister's crowd and was five years older--and that he wasn't really as evil as she'd been thinking he was for ten years. (I knew he wasn't! But for the story's sake I was glad she hadn't listened to him when he'd tried to explain before. Because, the story was so good. I don't know if I mentioned that before. Plus, I *may* have been known to hold a grudge or two in my time as well, so I totally got her motivation there.)

It was pretty clear from the start that Ashton's hatred of Evan wasn't going to last--I mean, seriously, the guy was amazing. And clearly absolutely gone on Ashton. But she messes up big time--and even while I was despairing at what she was doing, I still absolutely got why she was doing it--and (eventually, after a kick in the pants from all the women in her family--who oh my God I loved them all so much) tries to make things right again, and OMG. I just don't have words for what happens next. You. Must. Read. This. One.

Did I mention it was SO GOOD?

Another great book in this series. These books are really quick to get through and very entertaining.

Ashton Bailey has an opportunity to grab the job she's wanted since she was a child: to be the first female sports announcer for her family's favorite NFL team, the Portland Lumberjacks. She wanted to do it not only for herself, but for her grandmother, who had also aspired to be a sportscaster but was never able to fulfill her dream. She has the education, skills and deep knowledge of football to do an outstanding job. But could a woman ever get a chance at such a coveted role?

While working as an intern at a large sports network, Ashton's boss throws down this challenge. If any of the interns can prove that the team's quarterback--Evan Dawson--isn't as wholesome and innocent as he portrays himself--they will be given a permanent full time job. "Someone in this room is going to prove that Evan Dawson is not a virgin," her boss states.

That should be easy, right? After all, what NFL football player could keep to a vow of no sex before marriage, especially when he's surrounded by beautiful women all the time?

Ashton knows she can easily dig up the dirt on Evan, especially since she knows the real man behind the persona. She went to high school with him, and was the victim of one of his pranks that ruined her reputation and high school years. Payback for that prank would just be icing on the cake.

But once she becomes reacquainted with Evan, she learns the truth about that high school prank, and finds herself falling for his charms. Then she'll have to make a decision -- give up the job of her dreams, or give up the man of her dreams?

This is the fifth book by Sariah Wilson that I've read, and I love them all. She does a great job writing the banter and playfulness that occur between her hero and heroine. At the same time, she gives you a peek into the depth of their personalities. You feel like you are a friend of the main characters and actually participating in the story as it develops. Although I'm not a football fan (and usually avoid stories built around football), I still loved this book! Wilson makes the story about the characters and their growth, both personal and as a couple. It's one of those books that you wish wouldn't end!

It's always interesting to pick up a book in the middle of a series when you haven't read any of the books before it and Sariah Wilson is a new to me author but the blurb had me wanting to read #Awestruck so I took a chance. This book can absolutely be read as a stand a lone and I had no trouble getting into the story. Evan and Ashton have a great chemistry and a really enjoyable story-line that kept the interest flowing and the pages turning. I'm looking forward to going back and reading the other books in the series and more by Sariah Wilson.

This book was definitely not what I was expecting from the cover. I thought it would be a hot and steamy romance, but it was not. It was sweet...and I loved it.

Evan was absolutely dreamy and to even associate virginity with a grown man was a novelty, but a good one. I appreciated that he was not ashamed of who he was in being celibate. Also his interest in Ashton was endearing.

This is my first book by Sariah Wilson, but I want to explore the rest of the series.

Trying to prove the rumours that hot football player Evan Dawson is still a virgin seems like an impossible task. Ashton is an intern at the Portland branch of the International Sports and Entertainment network, whose dream is to become a caller for games, but she has to earn her way there. She is given this task by her boss who has a grudge against Evan and who wants expose him. Ashton has her own history with Evan as she had a major crush on him in high school which caused her to be the brunt of jokes an bullying and she has never forgiven him.
When they meet at a party Evan is instantly attracted to her and Ashton finds her feelings for him returning but she is determined to push them aside and carry on with her task. Evan is devastated when he finds out how he hurt her in the past and asks for her forgiveness which shes is determined not to give.

Although the story involved some serious issues it was also a fun romp as Ashton does her best not to fall in love with Evan again, while Evan himself is falling hard. In the background is the "evil editor" who is putting the pressure on Ashton to expose Evan.

I had to smile at the lengths Evan went to to gain Ashtons affection even staying "engaged" to her after a misunderstanding. He was such a romantic, how could she deny him. A really enjoyable read as were the other books in the series.

Be still my heart! Sariah Wilson has a knack for bringing hot, swoon-worthy romances to life!

This installment of the #Lovestruck series is all about a professional football player, Evan Dawson, and the girl from high school with a broken heart. Ashton is after revenge, and a coveted job, and will do anything to achieve both. But the real heart-tuggers are the personal realizations that occur along the way.

I'm not a huge football fan, but Awesome Dawson, the Jacks, and the Forest just might change my mind. I love the bond that forms between Evan and Ashton through their individual and collective love of sports. And can I just say? The supporting cast of characters were perfect!

I absolutely swooned over the vivacious and unconstrained sparks that zipped between these characters and although they each had a reason to continue on with their mistaken engagement, there was no deny the deep attraction. The witty banter was hilarious and the icing on this scrumptious cake.

If you want to take a plunge into a hilarious laugh-out-loud swoony romance, grab yourself a copy of this one!

Content: mild-moderate romance (passionate kissing, talk of waiting for marriage; innuendo)

What an adorably sweet romance this was! Evan Dawson was totally swoon-worthy and possibly one of the sweetest book boyfriends I have come across.

With #Awestruck, Sariah Wilson delivers a beautiful love story with a slight “second-chance” romance vibe. The characters share a history that was beyond horrible for Ashton Bailey. Having a huge crush on the most well liked, kindest and most popular senior wouldn’t have been so bad if she hadn’t been years younger.

Now, she has her chance to seek revenge for those traumatizing events and she’s ready to go at him full force. But like with age comes wisdom and she learns things weren’t exactly as they seemed back then and the more she spends time with Evan, the more she realizes he’s still that great guy she crushed on and who everyone loves now. His fame hasn’t changed who he is and it was eye ope i g to her, for sure.

#Awestruck was a great story!!

Not to sound cheesy but I was awestruck reading the love story between Evan and Ashton. There’s not a moment I wanted to put this down. It was just fantabulous.

Ashton took an internship hoping to land her dream job. An opportunity arose that collided with her past which gave her an edge closer to securing what she wants. The problem is, she’d have to cross paths with the first guy who broke her heart, Evan Dawson.

Seeing this opportunity to get revenge on this heart breaker, she finds that her assignment isn’t that easy. Revelations of the past change everything I the present and Ashton finds her heart and mind in conflict as she begins to be less angry and more smitten.

Awestruck, part of the Lovestruck series can be read alone. I don’t think you need to back read but considering this was fun you might as well check out the others. It’s funny because what I thought initially would be a cliche thing turned out to be much more interesting and fun. Loved the chemistry between the characters. The evolution of their relationship kept us hanging on their every word. Never a dull moment. Looking forward to the next. Go check it out.

Sariah Wilson has her characters flawlessly oscillate between sexy and charming in a way only she can write it and it’s pure sports rom-com magic. Bring on more books as I can’t wait to get my hands on them. Absolutely recommend

Title: #Awestruck
Series: Lovestruck Book #3
Stand Alone Title: yes
Author: Sariah Wilson
Genre: Romance
Blurb: A sweet all-American story of love and revenge.
Ambitious intern Ashton Bailey is about to get closer to her dream of being a sports announcer. All she has to do is prove that too-perfect-to-be-true NFL quarterback Evan Dawson isn’t quite as wholesome as his contract requires. It’s also the perfect opportunity to get delicious payback on the boy who broke her teenage heart. At least that’s her plan. But she forgot just how easy it is to crush on the irresistible charmer. #OhNoNotAgain.
Evan has a knack for getting through the opposing team’s defenses, and he won’t let this tall, redheaded knockout be the exception. He’s determined to make things right between them and earn back Ashton’s trust—and maybe her heart, too.
Then the press mistakenly announces their engagement, and Ashton and Evan find themselves going along with the lie. Now the whole world is watching as Ashton flirts with attraction and disaster. But while revenge is sweet, it just might come at the cost of something sweeter still.
Favorite quote(s): “There should be a calorie refund on things that taste gross.”
“It’s like you’re one of my guy friends who loves sports, only you’re in a hot woman’s body.”
Thoughts: Having been blown away by the previous two books in this series, I was very eager to read #Awestruck. Honestly, I love the author and her writing style, but this one is my least favorite in the series. It’s still good and worth the read, but when you compare it to the other two it is like comparing apples and oranges. The previous two stick out in your mind – even months later – and they really are in a class all their own. #Awestruck didn’t have that same impact. It was sweet, yet a little far-fetched….I liked the characters but sometimes the reactions were a little too extreme and overdone and just didn’t come off as believable. Don’t get me wrong it had some great moments….after all, this is an amazing author. This is just not my favorite from the series.

I just reviewed #Awestruck by Sariah Wilson. #Awestruck #NetGalley

Sariah Wilson does it again. I immediately get sucked in to her books and don't come up for air until I'm finished. I love the little twists she adds to all her stories. I loved this one and will read everything she writes. She is my go to author between the intense psychological thrillers I also love.
This author always leaves me smiling and feeling good. Thank you!
