Neron Skies: A Space Fantasy Romance (The Neron Rising Saga Book 2) Kindle Edition
by Keary Taylor
I received an eARC via NetGalley and am choosing to leave a fair and honest review.

I read books 1 and 2 together. I highly recommend that readers do this. Reading books 1 and 2 back to back gives the series a little more tension and speed.

Nova and her makeshift family are on the run from the Dominion. They are moving from planet to planet while Nova begins to question the black and white/good and evil, simplistic world (universal?) view she has. She begins to question whether actions are as important as reasons for those actions. She also begins to question whether or not she can live without Valen.

Readers begin to see the romance between Nova and Valen bloom as well as their characters growing. Although, their relationship is clearly going to be a slow burn. Action picks up as Nova tries to find her place in the universe as well as her origins.

Excellently written and better than the first as I could understand the sci-fi speak because it is placed in more context.

5 stars out of 5

Still enjoying this series! I don't know what to say without spoiling anything except that it's good. We are introduced to a new character and we find out a few things in Neron Skies. I still have a lot of questions and I'm excited to find out the answers in the next episodes. The third one is out so that's good! I'll just have to wait a couple of weeks or so for the finale.

Also, that kiss was awesome! (if you've read it, you know what I'm talking about) All the feels.

A great continuation of the series!!
It was not as fast paced as the first one but it was still GOOD!
We finally get the truth about why Nova is a Nero, we face the heartbreak of her and Valens complicated relationship. Theres a new addition to the crew that I pretty much liked lol. Looking forward to reading more from this great series.

A good run book, it was well written with an engaging storyline. This book is a sequel so you Will want to read the first book in the series first for better understanding.

I know this book is not perfect and more than once I found myself questioning the main characters' choices or their reasons.
Nonetheless, this saga is addicting. And I NEED to know what happens next.

I received a free ARC from Netgalley.

Episode 2 is full of emotions, action, heartache, and hope. Nova goes through an identity crisis, she kisses a murderer, the crew is attacked, they pick up a new member, and it ends meeting a new Nero, hopefully a good thing.

I want episode 3!

I was not disappointed by episode 2, I absolutely love this story and can't wait for episode 3.
It confirmed a few things I suspected but threw in enough twists to keep me wanting to read it in 1 go.
We got to know the characters on a deeper level and new characters being introduced and I truly NEED to read episode 3 ASAP!!

In this episode we follow Nova (now
wanted by the Dominion) as she streams through the galaxy with her family, to find a safe haven and answers.
The impressive world building continues as
We get to see more planets/worlds (it sort of reminded me the Defy the stars by Claudia gray, only the transitioning world part); here MC is struggling with her new found identity and as a result dealing with self acceptance as well. Nova is smart, emotionally driven sometimes but she seems to keep it together whenever they're faced with surprises...Zayne and Torin are more fleshed out in this episode and you get to understand their relationship and the character themselves. I grew fond of them over time as we face Torin's concern and Zayne's complex feelings over Nova, as she deals with her own secrets and predicament.
I really enjoyed this sequel, although we don't get much of the villain intervention here, but we see more character growth and development here which I found lacking in the previous episode so this pretty much makes up for it.
(P.S plot Involved some romance but survival and action dominated the story)

{Some of the hiccups I've faced were: I felt a bit discontinuity when the MC meets up with a new character in a new planet, it had me puzzled i wasn't if it was talking of the same person as the previous scene.
Description of space traveling seemed inadequate, so leaves you a bit confused. think the characters a bit to agreeable to the MC despite her fishy behavior, and Reena was barely present throughout this episode. Looking forward for more of her kick-@-- ness}
Highly enjoyable sci-fi space story.
Can't wait to read the upcoming episodes.

Thank you Netgalley, Keary Taylor & Xpresso Book Tours for this e-Arc!

I received this novel from net galley and the publisher. Thank you!
This next segment of the series follows Nova and her friends' escape from their home planet to avoid the destruction that the Dominion will do to obtain Neron. Nova was told by Valen to seek out the Bahiri so Nova can learn and control her abilities. Nova becomes selfish when she asks Valen to come to her. When they meet, sparks fly, but also the truth about Valen's past and why he works for Cyrillius. Nova and Valen still have their mind link, but Nova does not want to be like Valen, but has to use her abilities to protect herself and others. Nova receives contact from another Nero, who Nova decides to trust and leads the others to the coordinates given to her. Still, the galaxy is waiting for the prophesied Nero that will save all from Cyrillus and the Dominion.

The Neron Rising "Neron Skies" is an excellent continuation of the Neron stories. Good solid writing.
