I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I have read the other books in this series by the wonderful author, Patricia W. Fischer. In Doctor For Christmas, we meet the third Davidson sibling, Peter. I loved how Patricia used the names from Narnia. We learn immediately that Dr. Peter has just found out he’s a dad to nine year old twins Polly and Digory. Their mother was killed in a car crash and they are coming to Marietta for Christmas to surprise and be with Lucy and Edmond. Peter is trying so hard to be an instant dad but he is also very upset as to why his long time love never told him she was pregnant. At the start, Peter has an accident on the road to Marietta. The roads are icy and he hits a man who looks like Santa in a motorized sleigh. He has hit his head and it’s bleeding. He gets out to check on the sleigh and it’s driver and has a lovely chat with Mr. Nicholas, a resident of Marietta.

Nurse Shelly Westbrook passes the accident scene and stops. She is returning from her failed wedding to remarry his faithless cad of an ex husband. Her son Freddy and niece Tia are with her. At the ceremony in Las Vegas, her ex’s pregnant girlfriend and their two toddlers show up and thats it for Shelly and crew. Shelly and Peter have some instant chemistry and the 4 kids hit it off, even though Shelly’s are older teens. The On Star connection calls the hospital and EMT’s for Peter and soon all are on their way to Marietta General where the three siblings are reunited.

After he is healed, Peter plans to spend the holidays in Marietta with his family and now Shelly’s family. The twins and Peter are working on building a relationship. Shelly and Peter start to keep build a relationship but Peter doesn’t know if he’s returning to Florida where he lives, or going to Maine where his ex was raising the twins or staying in Marietta with his family and Shelly’s family. There is an envelope left toPeter from the twins mother Simone to be opened in an emergency and he is avoiding doing so. When he does finally open it, I was very surprised as to what Simone’s reasons are.

I loved this book. I have loved all the books in this series. Patricia uses romance, a little mystery, family love and the wonderful backdrop of Marietta in this book. Definitely 5 Stars!

Doctor for Christmas is a sweet and heart-warming story of hope. Two exceptional, but damaged souls come together in the spirit of Christmas and realise that there may actually be some glimmer of light at the end of a dark and troubled tunnel. Set in our favourite town of Marietta, Montana, Doctor for Christmas is the perfect place to celebrate Christmas cheer, and find a love that you hadn’t expected. A wonderful addition to the Marietta Medical series, and an inspiring story of giving and joy.

A story that is sure to leave you with a warm heart long after the last page has been turned. This series has been particularly heartwarming because the Davidsons are exceptional siblings, overcoming adversity to excel in their medical fields...each with their loving nature and kindhearted approach to each other, their loved ones, patients, and all the Marietta townspeople, it’s difficult not to become emotionally invested in their HEA’s.

The dialog flows effortlessly from beginning to end...the characters are uniquely dynamic, with the sorts of personalities that quickly creates a bond, keeping you engaged, rejoicing their triumphs and saddened through their heartbreaks. Having witnessed Shelly’s marital misery in Lucy and Edmond’s stories, I was particularly joyful about her and Peter...his integrity and loving, gentle nature was just what she needed to show her her worth and strengthen her loving heart. With endearing secondary characters to round out the perfect holiday, feel good story, you can’t help but look forward to what is in store for Susan, the only remaining Davidson sibling in need of a HEA.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

A beautiful romance of two hurt people and their children. A story building a relationship sensuously and romantically. Hope was the ending. Of building a new family. Christmas hope.

Doctor for Christmas was a quick, funny, and even romantic tale at times. Shelly has been burned by s cheating ex-husband, and Peter found out after his former girlfriend’s death that he has nine year old twins. They are both reeling from these situations when they meet after Peter is in a car accident. Needless to say, the good folks of Marietta provide Peter and his children with an abundance of love and support. He and Shelly become close, but they struggle with the idea of falling in love too quickly and where Peter and his children will settle down for good. Like every couple in Marietta, Montana they get their HEA in the end!

I found this to be a bit of a struggle to read. I had not read the first two books in the series so that may have affected my review of this story. I just found the relationship between Peter and Shelly to be dull.. There was no spark. I will not be reading the first two books because this one just turned me off.

I was given an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

You might say it was Love at first Touch for Peter and Shelly. They both have been through a lot lately, is romance in Santa’s sleigh this year? That is how it all starts is with Santa’s sleigh and a minor fender bender, being a nurse checking on the unconscious man...
