This is a pretty solid 3.5 stars for me. I couldn't quite justify bumping it up to 4 stars just because it such an unbelievable tale of inst-love. It's a sweet story and I enjoyed the connection and chemistry between Trent and Lance. I think the author did the best she could explaining the insta-love and I can appreciate that these two characters found exactly what had been missing from their lives in each other but for character to be so closeted that he was on the verge of a panic attack when one person found out to stand up like one day later and announce his sexuality to the world is a bit hard for me to accept. I have read several same sex romance books and other than some YA books where the characters are just discovering their sexualities this was the first one I have read where both characters were just coming out so maybe that lead to some of my reluctance to fully buy into the story. But I did enjoy this book and I will look forward to checking out more books by Jess Bryant in the future.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What brought Lance and Trent together was a comedy of errors, which was hard to not see coming, but it was still a really interesting way to meet. If not for the events that brought Trent to Fate in the first place it would have been even more comical.

Lance was the town slut and he didn’t have a lot of friends, but Fate was home for better or worse. Trent’s been through enough without getting attached to someone who can’t be honest, but these two have a hard time staying away from each other. Watching Trent fall and Lance battle with how to keep both Trent and his secret kept the pages turning. The fact that the characters were witty, fun and there was plenty of smexiness didn’t hurt either 😉 I also think that everyone should have a friend like Lemon in their life and if anyone knows if she has her own book floating around somewhere, please let me know…

Speaking of which, this was my first Jess Bryant book, but I’m pretty sure it won’t be my last. Especially with the next books in the Fate, Texas series. Since her writing covers several genres, which fits with my eclectic reading style, I can’t wait to check out her other series as well. 😉

Stay a Little Longer is an engaging novella about two different men who find themselves drawn together. Trent and Lance were good characters to start the series with and I look forward to reading more.

For an instant love mm romance this was short and sweet with some serious chemistry thrown in along with the issue both men faced of 'coming out' to the public. Trent doesn't get a choice as someone he thought was a friend outs him, but Lance is completely afraid and against coming clean to his family and the small town. Will these two men have a chance at a future?

Thanks to NetGalley and Ninestar Press for a copy in return for an honest review.

Trent Thorne is kicking himself for making the mistake of hoping his outwardly straight friend could be something more, resulting in his closely kept secret being broadcast to the world. He’s on the run from the hoards of media on his tail and ends up travelling to Fate, where his closest friend lives, resulting in him crossing paths with deputy Lance Nichols. Lance has his own secrets and is shocked to discover Trent in his neck of the woods. I really enjoyed this story, the first one I’ve read from Jess Bryant, will definitely be reading more. Genre: MM Romance
Steamy?: Yes
Cliffhanger?: Kind of… but not really relating to the main characters
Can be read as Standalone?: Yes
Rating: 3 out of 5 Stars

This was an enjoyable quick read. For this being the author’s first venture into MM, not bad. It was a novella (that honestly felt like a novel, in a good way) so a lot was packed in within a short span of time. We are given a complete story that is definitely full of INSTA-everything and enough cheese for a fondue. And it was confusing to follow along at times due to the POVs changing and the wrong name occasionally being inserted. But the story was sweet, the characters were pretty like-able and there was just enough angst to keep you on your toes.

This was an awesome story! I had my doubts because it was insta-lust and almost insta-Love, but it just worked for these guys, they just clicked and it was so real. Trent is a sweetheart that totally found his soulmate in Lance. The story was short, with lots of loving and had a great plot, so overall, a great read. Also, this is the author’s first MM, and I’ve got to say it was very well done! I’ll definitely be looking forward to reading more about Fate, Texas!

For this to be a first time MM book for Jess Bryant, she did a wonderful job. It was sweet, romantic, with some angst, and the sex scenes were so hot. The chemistry between Trent and Lance was so intense and believable that I once I started reading the book I couldn't put it down.
Trent is a country singer that was outed after he told his best friend. Lance is a deputy sheriff that is so deep in the closet that he was scared to come in his little country town. I love Lemon she convinced Trent to come out and after little hiccups, he got his happily ever after with Lance.
I truly enjoyed this book by Jess Bryant and looking forward to next book in this series.

WOW! I can't even put into words how much I loved this book! Love at first sight, er touch, er sight. I found this fairytale M/M romance exciting, sexy, romantic and totally believable. The characters are beyond lovable and read like real people. This is a true romance more than erotica-- even though it is very steamy and dripping with sexual attraction and desire. Trent and Lance were meant to meet. I found Jess Bryant's story well developed and the perfect length... although I have to say I could have read on and on under Bryant's magical spell.

I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

when country music star trent thorne is outed in stay a little longer, he finds himself holing up in his best friend's hometown of fate, texas. the only little problem is that he accidentally finds himself in the wrong bed, due in part to his best friend's vague directions and some honest confusion. but what a great meet-cute. the whole bed discovery scene is funny and yet also really poignant.

closeted cop lance nichols is not okay when he comes home and finds an intruder sleeping in his bed. he's even less okay when he realizes that it's his celebrity crush, trent thorne. and when i say not okay, i mean, he's totally freaked out and totally turned on. but he's also struggling with his identity in every way and believes that there is no way for him to live his life openly.

trent and lance have an explosive chemistry and don't deny their attraction to one another. but now that trent has been outed, he wants to be able to live his life openly. and he would never ask lance to out himself for his sake. he'd also never knowingly out lance. but when trent's location is discovered by the press, trent finds himself in the spotlight before lance and him have a chance to figure out where they stand.

will trent stay and give their relationship a chance? can lance risk coming out of the closet too? is trent's career in nashville truly over and is he okay with it? this story is short and sweet and maybe a little insta-lovey, but i like stories like this so it's all good with me.

This book was so fun to read it felt too short. It's fast-paced, hot and very romantic. Trent is a country superstar who was outed and is trying to hide. He goes to a small city advised by his best friend Lemon. There he meets Lance, the deputy who has a bad reputation, by accident and they fall in love rather quickly. The story was light-hearted, which I enjoyed. Sometimes stories have so much conflict in them it's painful to read. This story was a gulp of fresh air in that sense, the conflicts were important but not the main factor. It was like those Christmas movies that come out every year. We have watched the same story a million times but still love them even if we know exactly what is going to happen. It didnèt matter that Trent and Lance fell in love quickly. It didn't matter that the end of the story was predictable, it was still sweet and really fun to read. If I ever had to recommend an M/M to anyone, this would be my first pick for sure.

Trent and Lance are DELICIOUS! Books like this one are why I love M/M so very much. There's something raw and honest about these stories. I don't know if it's the forbidden aspect or just the power of two men together but I LOVE it!!

This is a beautifully told story - with plenty of heat but also lots of emotions and genuine feelings. I felt the author did a great job of making this believable. I really wanted these two to get their HEA. I felt very invested with their story. Definitely recommend.

This is a novella. Short, hot and swoony.

Like the blurb says, an outed country music star holes up in a small Texas town. Accidentally landing in the bed of the town's bad boy sheriff - excruciatingly closeted bad boy sheriff. They do their best to set the sheets on fire, but what got me in the feels was their understanding of each others emotions.

This is very romantic and hot, if that's your thing.

Not really mine. I prefer a little more edge, and a slower evolving relationship.

Trent and Lance sleep together on their first night (without even knowing each other), and only take two days before they are hit with insta-love. For the majority of the story, they are cocooned in Lance's trailer and avoid the outside world.

I wanted more about Trent's musical disaster after being outed, and more of Lance's backstory.

Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for copy. Due out on November 16.

A quick moving fun romance between Trent a just outed country music megastar and Lance a small town cop. I am not usually a fan of insta-romance but their attraction felt real and I loved the chemistry between the two. After his devastating public outing Trent needs time to regroup and decide how to move forward with his life, Being gay in the music business he believes will be the kiss of death to his career and he needs alone time to process this new chapter of his life. Now that he was forced Out he will not deny it He decides to lay low in a small Texas town where his best friend Lemon lives her fiancee. The fellows accidentally meet during a simple mix up and sparks fly. i look forward to reading more. maybe another story featuring Trents twin? My fingers are crossed.

I will admit I wasn't expecting a lot of realism from a country superstar hides in a small town story. This book, however, was an extremely pleasant surprise. The realism is what stuck out to me most. The characters acknowledged every issue I could have had in a way that really made it work for me. The writing and pacing was also excellent and I think this is a book I will remember for a long time.

I really wanted to enjoy this book, but this was so insta-love my neck still hurts from the whip lash. There was zero character development only that both were hot and their sexual appeal alone was enough for the other one (in this case Lance) to forget a lifetime of fear of coming out of the closet and does it in front of the entire media.

It was entirely cringe worthy really.

Or maybe its just me..

Mini Review::::::::

I loved this book SO MUCH. Honestly, I went into it expecting to give it three stars, simply because I realized it was shorter than I initially expected. I guess it was a mood thing; I was in the mood for a long, slow-burn m/m. But I ended up adoring the story, the character, the smut, and the pacing!!! Sometimes insta-love just works! This was one of those times.

The two main characters communicated constantly, respected one another, and their feelings felt so intense + genuine. I would recommend for anyone in the mood for a quick romance that will make you say "ahhhhh" many times.

This was between a three and a four star read for me, but ultimately I decided on a four out of five. I enjoyed the relationship between Trent and Lance, but feel they fell in love too quickly. I wish that it was more drawn out over a few weeks at least. I liked that Trent was willing to be with Lance and not out him, but found Lance’s willingness to out himself after a few days with Trent very odd, especially considering his panic attack when Lemon finds out about them. I liked that both characters had multiple sides to them, like how Trent was dominant but also had a sweet and soft side. I thought this was well written but a little too fast paced, and the epilogue focused a little too much on Lulu for my tastes. I decided on a higher rating because it was well written despite the issues I had with it. :)
