I enjoyed reading this true crime about a jewelry heist in England. The crime was planned and attempted by an elderly group of career criminals. This is supposed to be their one big score so they can retire but things do not go as planned. The story is exciting and it kept me reading but the book could have done with some editing. Photographs accompany the text. Enjoy.

While the topic itself leads to a great story, Bilefsky captured the story with a steady sense of wonder. He didn’t just regurgitate the facts of a globally known news story that happened just years ago. He wove a story that captures the reader and satisfies the need to know all the facts.
