I am a sucker for an adorable Christmas story, and The Legend of Chris Moose is just that! Chris Moose follows an “ugly duckling” storyline about a moose that isn’t so handsome, in fact he’s quite ugly and feeling down on himself.
But it is Christmas time in the forest and all the woodland creatures are heading to Momma Bear and Pappa Bear’s house for Christmas, along with the Moose. When they arrive they find Momma Bear and Pappa Bear upset for having overslept, and the Moose is able to help out in the most festive and adorable way.

A short Christmas story about a moose that is named Ugly. When visiting his friends for Christmas he is too large to fit inside the house to participate in Christmas. With the help of his beloved friends, they find a way to allow Ugly to be a intricate part of Christmas and thus renaming him Chris Moose. Which reflects how beautiful he really is. A short sweet story of being uplifted by your friends when you feel down about yourself.

My 6 and 3 year olds loved this Christmas story. They enjoyed all the characters & i like children’s books that rhyme.

2 stars.

I wanted to love this, yet I found it very hard to like. It's Christmas time already and I just love children's Christmas Picture books. But unfortunately I did not like this so much. Firstly the formatting of this file was all over the place for me. Words here, picture there. Nothing in the right places so it made it hard to read and get a full feel of this. But focusing on just the story alone, it wasnt so good. It easily had potential, but didn't quite get there. The story was not interesting or really creative and I don't think it will be remembered or stand out among all the others in this category. The illustrations I'm not sure how to judge because the copy of this I recieved, the illustrations looked unfinished and like a cut and paste job. Yes some of them looked finished and really good. Lots of details while being soft and colourful too. I had thought that this was yet to be published because of this but I see it was published awhile back in 2015. So I'm not sure why the illustrations are mixed and don't match.

The Legend of Chris Moose: A Christmas Story by John Clark looks to be a very interesting and enjoyable story while also teaching a lesson. I do wish I had been able to download it but do not own a Kindle. The kindle computer app will not download the story. The cover and description get 4 Stars.
