I received a generous ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really love J.T. Geissinger and think she is an expert when it comes to crafting the perfect slow-burn romance. Dangerous Beauty was no exception. Eva and Nas was inevitable from the very beginning and I really loved how their relationship progressed. For me, the story was just a bit too out there and it was hard to truly fall in love with the characters because of it. However, I will continue to read what Geissinger puts out and will finish this series as well.

Review: Dangerous Beauty by J.T. Geissinger

Any book by J.T. Geissinger ends up being a delight for me and this one was no exception. To top that off, this is Barney's book finally. To those of you familiar with the Bad Habit series, you already know Barney. He was the bodyguard for Nico Nyx and someone I've been wanting a book about. We did get a novella recently that featured him, but that just whetted my appetite and I needed more! In this one Naz(Barney) has his hands full guarding and watching a rich Russian man's runaway wife. You can guess where this is going and that was the true delight here.

Naz now works for Connor from Geissinger's Wicked Games series. Connor and his wife Tabby are also favorites of mine so I was happy to see them both play roles in this book. Naz is in Cozumel spying on Eva, a beautiful woman and wife to a Russian mobster. He's only supposed to watch and not make contact, but when Eva almost gets killed by drug dealers, he has to save her. He slowly starts to realize that what he thinks he knows about Eva and what is really true are two vastly different things. The two are both hiding secrets from each other and the question is, what's going to happen to their fledgling romance when all is found out-especially on Eva's part?

First I want to talk about the banter. And boy was there banter for days. Geissinger might as well have a PHd in banter as far as I can tell. She's the master of it and it was front and center in this read. I so enjoy good banter and Eva and Naz were superb at it. It helped keep me engaged and smiling throughout the read. Not that I needed anything else to keep me engaged. This read was full of romance, action, danger, and yes, even the scenery and beauty of Cozumel. The banter was the icing on the proverbial cake for me.

Characters? Of course, I loved Naz, although I kept thinking of him as Barney. I don't even remember why he was called Barney in the other books because Naz is his real name. He was a popular, although peripheral character previously and I always thought he deserved his own book. The kicker is that this series is a trilogy and he's in all of them. He's a big man, fit, handsome, and before this was kinda quiet. Nothing quiet about this character when he's with Eva. Eva was a strong character that you just know has grown from the way life has treated her. She may have been weak in the past, but now she is blossoming after meeting Naz. She's beautiful and just happy to be free of her horrible life in Russia. She's afraid to let her guard down or to trust, but we see that happen between her and Naz. Of course this book has a villain and he's a doozy! Enough said.

My only problem with this story was the dreaded cliffhanger. But, even though I try to steer clear of cliffhangers, since Geissinger wrote this, I still would read it. I had no idea this ended that way so I was pretty shocked. I realize it was necessary for the trilogy, but I didn't know it was a trilogy until I read it. That being said, I will definitely be continuing on with the series because I am totally invested in the story and characters. Of course, there's not a book by her that I wouldn't read as they are just so good!

Recommended to adult contemporary or romantic suspense readers. 4.25 stars!

I love J T Geissinger! And this book did not disappoint. While I tend to wait to read books with a cliffhanger i decided to read this one and I can’t wait to re read this before the other books come out ! The book had all the features you want from a trilogy, suspense and heat, and a yummy alpha

Be fair warned the cliff hanger is not one you see coming , but I promise naz and eva’s Story won’t disappoint

I can’t believe I got to read this little gem! This author has become one of my favorites! And this book was just as amazing as her other books!
Thank you for this opportunity!

OMG! AMAZING! Like shout it from the roof tops AMAZING! At the same time I just want to throttle her for giving us a cliffhanger! I despise cliffhangers. Its not a fault of the author, I just know my memory is sh*t and the wait kills me. That being said, from one of my all time top favorite authors (and Ms. Geissinger is in my top five for sure) I'll still read them, but I like a warning. Thats my only criticism of the whole book, I'm used to her interconnecting series with each book covering a different couple, so thats what I expected with this one. I got to 92% and plot twist! I'm frantically searching for more pages, even reading the description again to see if it indicated a cliff hanger then scouring the pages to see when the next one comes out lol.
Anyway, its all good and she more than makes up for any disappointment I had over this being a cliffhanger by being such an amazing unbelievable story. Its so thrilling and suspenseful and in parts both super fun and flipping HOT! Naz is up there as one of my favorite book heroes now, its only a few weeks into the year but it'll take awhile to knock him out of the top spot. Hopefully by the time that happens the next book will come out to remind me why I love him so much. Eva is growing on me. I like her spunk, and their chemistry is FIRE, but my favorite parts were their quiet silliness. You don't see that enough in romance. Add in the nonstop action and intrigue and this is going to be a big contender for top read of the year once we get the other installments. I can't wait for more!

Another fantastic book from J. T. Geissinger. Featuring a super engaging quick moving story line with exciting characters who had smoking hot chemisty. Definately worth picking up, a must read.

This is a CLIFFHANGER! The first in a 3 book series. I am almost diabolically opposed to serial cliffhangers because IMHO very few authors do this well. The total length of the series ends up being equivalent to the pages of one book or the story gets frustratingly, boringly, painfully dragged out. Normally I cross check book descriptions, but since I had read previous books by this author and enjoyed them, and they were NOT cliffhangers, I requested this book without my usual due diligence. The NetGalley blurb does NOT say it is a cliffhanger, Goodreads does. Lessoned learned.

Nasir Mansouri, is ex Special Forces, ex law enforcement, currently working private security for high profile clientele. He is hired to shadow Evalina, whom he believes to be a spoiled, runaway wife.

Evalina Ivanova spent 7 years with an abusive, narcissistic, Russian Mafia connected elitist. She tried running away but was always found and taken back. She thinks she has finally succeeded in getting away this time. She has managed to isolate herself on a small island, works a job she enjoys and lives a quiet life.

A chance encounter, where Nasir saves her life, leads to more interaction than either expected. As they discover more about each other, Nasir learns the truth of her situation.
With his background, I find it difficult to believe his instincts weren’t screaming over so many things. Yes, love, lust, infatuation can be distracting, but I would think training becomes second nature after a while. And the last scene? No way could it have happened IRL. None. My mind is already wondering how this is going to continue for 2 more books.

Having said all this, it is an enjoyable read. I’ll just have to decide when the next one comes out if I’m invested enough to continue.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC provided by NetGalley and the publisher.

I loved it! It's a great start to the series! I enjoyed Naz and Eva's story. Naz is hired to follow Eva around in Mexico. She is escaping a Russian mob who made her life miserable for seven years. They meet when Naz saves her from a group of drug dealers. They have an instant attraction, but for Naz, it created a lot of inner turmoil. Once he learns the truth about the real reason of Eva's hiding he decides to become her protector. It is when the story takes a turn because all the truths come out and causes a rift between Naz and Eva. Eva then learns the truth about Naz feelings. The story then ends in a cliffhanger, but it's okay because we can see what will happen next.
One of the best things about Dangerous Beauty was the dialogue between Naz and Eva. It was funny, sweet and full of emotion. They kept each other on their toes. I thought it was sweet when they make fun of each other to alleviate some of the sexual tension between them. Towards the end of the book we get some action and we learn that Eva can do very well to defend herself.
I will continue with this series and hopefully they'll be as good as this one.

Dangerous Beauty was an excellent start to a new series by J.T. Geissinger. Be forewarned though there is a major cliffhanger on this one I was completely blindsided by. I can't believe the author is making me wait! Ahhhh!

This story was intense right from the start and bam before I knew it, I was left gasping wondering where the rest of the story was. Nooo! Be prepared for a whirlwind of emotions; laughter, sadness, fear, excitement, and heat rolled off the pages.

Overall this was an outstanding start to a new series and I cannot wait for the next installment.

I absolutely loved this book! The feelings that Eva and Naz have for each other and their struggles to get together draw you in and keep you rooting for them through all the danger, lies, and little bits of fun. This book gives you all the feels and keeps you reading way into the night to find out what will happen to Naz and Eva and if they will get their HEA. Great first in series book! Can't wait for the next one!

Agh, I did not know this book ended on a cliffhanger without resolution, so frustrating!
The actual story I loved though, it is just going to kill me while I wait for the next book! #DangerousBeauty #NetGalley

I've been waiting for this story since I read the last Bad Habit book. I love Nazir/Barney! He's always been a little mysterious and secretive. That just makes him more interesting.New job, easy money watching a rich guys runaway wife,NOT!! I love the back and forth dialog between Naz and Eva. That is the best part of a J.T. Geissinger book.Funny, suspenseful and hot!!! Am I happy this book ended in a giant cliff hanger? NO!! I am eagerly awaiting the next part of this story. I just hope it's not a year before we get it.

Eva is the beauty and Naz is the dangerous, umm wait, no, Naz is the beauty and Eva in the dangerous. Hmm, I guess they both claim each as they are obviously gorgeous in my mind and both deadly in their own ways. Eva has escaped a madman and now Naz is there to keep an eye on her, stalk her, fall for her? While Naz is keeping much of himself from Eva until he knows the entire story, Eva is out there with no holds bar- no filters. I love her! She doesn't think, she feels, says and does. She has experienced the worst you can imagine and knows it's time to be courageous. LOVED LOVED LOVED Naz defining that for Eva. There is sweetness, sexiness, danger and intrigue- what else could you need in a read?

I'm glad I didn't know ahead of time this was a cliffhanger book rather than HEA as I usually steer clear of them. I would have truly missed out on a great story. I am thrilled I read this and anxious for the next book- me, the most impatient person ever! Ashamedly, this is my first J.T. Gessinger book, but not the last. I have decided to spend the time waiting this next story out by reading more J.T. Gessinger books. I tracked down Connor and Tabby so I am off to begin the Wicked Games series! Then on to learn more about Naz in Bad Habits!

Gah!!! That ending is a killer! This is a three part series and yes, it ends on a huge cliffhanger but it's so worth it! I will be pouncing on book 2 when it comes out because book one was intense and left me wanting so much more.

Before things got really serious, we get to see Naz and Eva get to know each other in a way that I loved. They bantered back and forth and threw friendly insults at each other that had me laughing out loud. The creativity in their insults were hilarious.

Eva was refreshing because she wasn't shy about asking for what she wanted. You learn she has a horrible past she is running from and she's decided it was time to take her life back. Instead of cowering, she committed to really live. That wreaked havoc on Naz because he was suppose to just keep an eye on her at a distance.

If you've read the Bad Habits series, you will know that Naz is Barney, Nico's bodyguard. He has moved on and hired on by Connor and Tabby's security firm. Connor and Tabby are from the Wicked Games series and are in this book quite a bit. Their parts really added to my overall enjoyment of this book.

I'm going to leave it here cause I hate to spoil anything. I loved Naz and Eva and will be anxiously waiting for book 2.

Another well written, melt your heart novel by Geissinger who's quickly becoming one of my favorite authors in this genre. Naz and Eva are an incredible couple. From the moment they meet in México their chemistry is off the charts. Her quick wit matches his lazy sarcastic comebacks. She's smart, badass and beautiful. A perfect match to an ex marine who spends his life saving people and finds love again in an unexpected place. Although he hides a big secret from her his loyalty and affection never falters and he does not give in to his desires until she knows the truth. Gotta love this guy.

This is such a sweet romance with some difficult subject matters since Eva is running away from an abusive ex who would do anything to get her back. The only thing that held this from being a five star is the cliffhanger in the end. I saw no need for it with the ending of this book. They professed their love what more is there.

Thank you Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Loved, loved, loved, and hated this book! Why? See Nasir aka Barney in a whole different setting was as incredible as I knew it would be. Partnered with a beautiful, broken heroine was what definitely set this book apart from Ms Geissinger’s other books. Of course it’s part 1 and we have to wait forever for the others is why I hated it, thus the 4.5 starts.(a girl needs some kind of warning).

I really enjoyed this book, I love Barney (who's now going by his real name Nasir) and I think Eva is perfect for him! He just has to catch up with her again now and I really need the next book to see how he does!

So I read Hot As Sin on KU and then wanted to know more about Barney (although he seemed to lose the nickname in this book). And then Netgalley very conveniently send me an email saying I had this book (and didn't have to wait for 26th March when this comes out)

Anyway enough ramble, I enjoyed this book but I read the Kindle blurb not the goodreads one and this one did not say anything about it being the first in a three part story (as opposed to a trilogy)... lets just say I am not a fan of the ending!! It is a definite cliff hanger and total lead in to the next book, but the problem with that is that I will have forgotten huge chunks of the story... it just means that I will wait to read the second when the third has been released!!

4 stars. *****major cliffhanger alert*****
This starts off with such a sexy, island romance sort of vibe to it, even if Naz is on an undercover assignment to keep tabs on Eva for her supposed husband (not in fact true) . I am really loving it.

Then the story proceeds to get progressively more suspenseful and even a little dark- it is intriguing and the chemistry is electric! Loving it even more.

So many secrets and intrigue. As the intensity ramps up and the story unfolds I am glued to my kindle and then "what the hell" happened, it is over. Much cursing and one major cliffhanger later all I can hope is that the next installment of this ?duet will be very soon....
I really cannot wait!!!!!
