THIS. BOOK!!!! I loved Rock Legend so I was quite excited to get my hands on Rock Rebel... Didn't disappoint! Dax and Verity are E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G!!! Each of them had a great back story that just slayed me! And it made me love them individually so much, that watching them get together and fall in love was the greatest feeling!!! Bombs that dropped had me feeling like someone punched me in the stomach. The first time they actually get together left me breathless! The way it was written just totally made time slow down as I was reading. I felt worshipped just reading it! I was outraged a time or 2, and even shed a few tears... Happy or sad? You'll have to read it yourself to find out! Tara Leigh killed it with this book! It was a very great way to spend 2 days.

An entertaining finale for this series, I found it engaging and the transition from friends to something more along the way had me eagerly swiping pages to see how things would turn out for Dax and Verity.

I don’t feel like it’s fair to share a review on my blog for this book as I DNFed the book at 40%.

I was questioning this book from the start. The writing is good, and I like Verity a lot. Especially how her character deals with the #MeToo movement in the entertainment industry.

However she is only half of this book, and rockstar Dax is the voice for the other half. I was putting up with his chapters for the sake of Verity’s (all he seemed to do is brood...) but then we reached a point where I couldn’t read the book any longer. It didn’t really make sense, the romance was so hot and cold it gave me whiplash. Which I understand as a plot point, but to me Dax’s reasons and actions were so confused and muddled that I struggled to follow the story. And there was a point at the 40% mark, (without giving spoilers) which goes against everything Verity believed in and didn’t sit right with me (especially after what she went through in the past)

This book might be for someone else, but unfortunately it’s not for me.

I've really enjoyed the Nothing but Trouble series by Tara Leigh. Rock Rebel follows the lead guitarist, Dax, and how he falls for Verity, a pop princess who joined their tour!

Not just a rock star romance, Rock Rebel is so much more. You think, feel and live the words on the page. Dax Hughes, a veritable rock god and Verity Moore, a 'disgraced' pop princess have a lot in common, including sharing a mentally lustful meeting in an elevator. She is a singer/actress whose career as the star of The Show all but imploded after rumors of impropriety on the set surfaced in the tabloids. She is in New York hoping to reinvigorate her career, this time as a singer and not an actress. Dax Hughes is the guitarist for the world famous band, Nothing But Trouble. He is in New York to see a performance of Classic Hughes, his family's classical ensemble he left to pursue the woman he loved and wanted to marry. That pursuit was a dead end, leaving him with nothing but heartache and he finally gave up. Verity's future looks bright, now that she signed a contract as a solo artist. Her manager, Travis, is lining up a six month world tour for Nothing But Trouble and, much to the chagrin of the band, he's signing Verity to be their opening act. Dax is far from pleased because he's beginning to look at her with more than a little interest and he can't have distractions on tour. Too late! They've been stealing glances at one another and it's not too long before the fireworks begin! How can they become involved with each other when they are touring together and the music is the only thing that matters. What they should do with their feelings is far removed from what they both want to do. Explosive, sweet and caring describes their growing bond and they realize that this could become something more. There are secrets that come to light and threaten to stop their love right in its tracks. Tara Leigh has created a book rich with emotional and fitting story lines that bring back the rest of the band. Remarkable!

This book was really well written! I love my work by this author! Reading about rock stars is one of my favorite things and I love how this author portrays the hero’s and heroines in this series! So good!

I’m really in the mood lately for these hot rock star romance... this one was hawt. Disgraced pop star Verity Moore has trust issues because even the closest person in her life did not keep her safe. As opening act for band Nothing but trouble she turns over a new leaf when Dax Hughes finds her truth.

What did I like? Overall this was just a great story. Wild story building that goes along with being a pop princess and a hot rock star makes the story brilliant. Truth however polishes the shine on these two as the real story comes out. A fun love story and a great HEA.

Would I recommend or buy? Yes, great story but I feel like you would get most pleasure reading the whole series and in order. This was my only read and the glimpses of the other stories really caught my eye. Probably my next binge.

Thoughts for the author? I received a copy and this is my review. This has been sitting on my tbr pile for awhile but I’m slowly depleting it. Fabulous book and five stars

This was my favorite of all the rock rebel books. I love the intensity and the world building that the author paints out for us. The hero and heroine had some great chemistry!

Those few words take on so much meaning int this story. When suppressed truth become a habit and the norm, we have to asks ourselves is this really real?

Verity, was a breath of fresh air. Above all obstacles she rose. Yes it took her some setbacks and downfalls but she kept on going. For herself. I felt her truth deep in my bones. Especially as I read along. It was amazing to see her take charge of her life and let people in.

Dax, he was swoony, can’t ever deny that. His hot and cold game was a bit annoying but we learn as to why. He also fights for Verity. I loved that. It was great to see him fall for her. And helping her heal. Showing her that it’s okay to trust even when he can’t sometimes.

There was a couple twists that I thought I had figured out but I was taken by surprise still. Tara Leigh definitely does Rockstars well!! I also loved seeing snippets of the NBT crew. I love seeing that series. It’s very filling to catch up with everyone. This one won’t disappoint.

"The man was a song I didn't know the chorus to. A chord chart with missing notes. Frustrating. And so, so tempting."

What can I say? I simply love the guys from Nothing But Trouble. And the name is so fitting. All band members are truly nothing but trouble: They are kings. They are legends. They are rebels... As Dax was always the quiet one, seemed the most thoughtful, reserved and withdrawn. In Rock Rebel we get this full package and some more. Because Dax is every piece of a rock rebel as well.

"Verity Moore was a star. The kind of musician that burned so brightly she would become the sun in her own universe."

Verity is one of a kind. Her character and background story, I'm sure is inspired by the current #metoo movement, touches a sensitive topic among stardom, stars and starlets from the music industry and Hollywood. She shows a lot of inner strength following the path she thinks is right for her. However, while doing so, falling for one of the hottest band members of a very famous rockband was surely not on her to-do list.

"The kiss of an angel, dispensed by a man whose dark looks and mysterious smile were pure devil. Sin had never looked so damn sexy."

Dax is every piece of man I wished him to be. He's a girls wet dream package and then some. His heart is pure gold but the package of his past wears him down. No surprise then, that the woman who brings him finally to his knees is everything he always tried to avoid. But fate has sometimes cruel and strange ways to bring together what belongs together.

"Verity was the music of my soul, and I intended to spend the foreseeable future learning her lyrics."

Rock Rebel is a journey of two broken souls finding solace, strength and support in each other woven into an pioneering, intense and emotional storyline in a rockstar world my heart longs for.

It wasn't up to her old standards. Her characters and story aren't as well rounded as her old series.

This was the first book I read by this author. I read it in 2018, although I'm reviewing it months later, but when I saw it was part of a series, as soon as I was able to I got the other books and I will review them in more detail once I'm able. Meanwhile, I can tell you that you can read this book without having read the previous one, although it's always more fun to read them in order and get a full experience of the series.

Nevertheless, this book is about Dax, and he's a member of the Nothing but Trouble rock band, and who doesn't love reading books about rock stars? I know I do, and that's why I was excited about this book. With artists comes groupies and drama and lots of romance. And of course we get many funny moments, as well as hot moments with the female main character Verity.

The characters in this series capture my attention and my heart too. I loved reading about them, and I loved their interactions and the excitement, romance, friendship and that fantasy and dreamy kind of feeling that this kind of book always brings to my mind and heart.

I could tell you about the plot, the storytelling, the pace. About all the particular aspects that made me love this book, but they all come back to the characters and their background story, the development, the interactions. The plot allowed that, created moments that changed everything.

Overall, I loved it, and I recommend this series if you are into contemporary romance about musicians.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Rock Rebel by Tara Leigh is book three in the Nothing But Trouble series. Available December 11, 2018, I will confess to not having read books one and two. I'm now curious.

Dax Hughes is a one time classically trained musician. Changing his life to become lead guitarist for a rock band, Nothing But Trouble, angered and confused a good many people. Dax was in desperate need of a life do-over. Bring on the groupies! When he meets Verity Moore the groupies go bye-bye. Dax is hooked. Verity is a former music show victim...err...actor. Trying to put her life and career back together, Verity has taken a gig as the opening act for Dax's band. Dax is changing and growing (and growing up), he's trying to move his past hurt and resentment. Verity is damaged in other ways. Can Dax be the man to help her wade through the darkness into the light? While this is not an easy storyline it's worth the read to see how these characters help each other along the road to recovery. Happy reading.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. This is the third and final book in this series. I have read the rest and I have to say that I love rock star romances. Tara Leigh has a way of writing that just makes you believe you are right there along for the ride with her characters. Makes you feel and contact for the characters. That is the kind of writing that I enjoy.

Tara Leigh never stops to impress me with her words. Rock Rebel was freaking fantastic and DAX!!!!
I was hooked from the very first page and found myself rooting for Dax and Verity, two broken souls that deserve their HEA.
The writing was flawless and full of angst and BOOM ... the twist.
I cannot wait to see what else the author has in store for her readers.

Rules were made to be broken and seeing Verity was a sure sign he would enjoy every single moment. Having her by his side will change everything and he would finally get what he wanted.

I truly enjoyed reading Rock Rebel.

Even though this book is number three in the series, the book is a stand-alone and can be read out of order.

The characters in this book captured me from the start. I loved reading about Dax and his passion for music.

Verity’s story is one of a disgraced pop star who is slowly making a come back. Her history and story had me wanting to keep reading.

I loved how Dax and Verity’s relationship developed in the book. They started off as friends which quickly grew to something more even though they both thought it was a bad idea.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading more in this series!

This is the first book I've read by the author and it didn't disappoint me. The character build-up is just amazing as Dax and Verity ooze "chemistry". They both have their own issues and with the help of each other, they were able to solve it and successfully find the true meaning of happiness and success.

This is the only book about rock stars or musicians that I truly enjoyed, as the love story didn't focus on the rockstar-meets-fan but both were in the same industry, talented and professional.

Will I read the first 2 installments in the series? DEFINITELY!
