This book was raw, intense, and so good. I’m giving this 4.5 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion.

I’ve enjoyed this series immensely, and each book was a little intense/dark sometimes, but this one felt more intense for me; I think it was because of its social relevance in today’s society. This might trigger some people, so I’m giving you a warning that there was quite a big focus on the #metoo movement, and leave it at that.

We saw both of these characters in previous books, but only for small amounts from what I remember. Even though Dax is part of Nothing But Trouble, he kept to himself, so we didn’t know a lot about him before getting inside his head. I loved the dual POV in this one, and I think Dax might be my favorite guy from the band, but I’m not sure.

Verity…all I can say is wow about her. I adored her character, and I really loved these two together. Yes to #Daxity! I enjoyed getting to see the NBT family we’ve come to know and love in the previous book. This book was too intense for me to binge read, but regardless of that, it was great. The last member of the band is Jett, but I don’t think he will be getting a book of his own. I would love to read about him though! Can we make it happen Tara?!?

I haven’t read yet the rest of the series, but this book got me intrigued and now I will be reading the rest. Dax is amazing, Verity being a pop princess is a cherry on top for the story being his equal more than the damsel in distress we are usually reading on this type of books, to make it better they are both attracted but shy to get together due to their pasts, making the story believable and emotional. Love it and so I am giving it a five star plus I am getting the rest of the books in the series.

This book is my favorite so far in the series. I love Dax and Verity. They are both so broken and vulnerable, but you can't help but fall for them. Their chemistry is off the charts and I loved seeing their relationship progress throughout the story. I am always a sucker for rock star romances and this series is definitely one of my top. I can't wait to read more from this author and from this series.

Ok, this is not first book in the series, but it is for me and now I feel that I have to read the previous ones and of course patiently (I hope) wait the next instalments. I'm hooked. I had to read it in almost one sitting! I loved the story and also I liked how the characters had their chemistry, I had a nice laugh, here and there I was irritated but I had to turn pages and read more through those twists. Great book, it clicked perfectly for my winter mood.

Nikki’s Review:

Where do I start? This book is everything. I had such high expectations for this book, and Tara Leigh delivered! I loved the first two in the series, and I desperately wanted to get that feeling again with Rock Rebel. I had those feelings and so many more.

If you’ve been following headlines in the media, and not living under a rock, for the past year, you’re well aware of the #metoo movement. Women are speaking their truths and reclaiming their lives. The heroine, Verity Moore, is trying to find her path to join the ranks of all those brave and beautiful women. But with her confidence beaten to a pulp, it’s been a bumpy road.

Dax has a rule of never getting involved with anyone in the music industry. He’s been there and done that. And he has the scars on his heart as proof. Fortunately, his heart decides to break that rule when he lays eyes on Verity.

You could really feel the chemistry pouring from the pages with these two. They were both having an internal battle, but the pull was just too strong. I love that these two see beyond the wounds that they each carry, and choose to be happy instead of letting life kick them in the backside.

One of the things I loved most about this book was the character development. They go from cynical and somewhat broken, to stronger and more self aware.

There were so many moments that put a smile on my face. Even as Dax and Verity were trying to find their footing as a couple, there was a lot to celebrate. Shane and Delaney, from Rock King, are happier than ever, and crazy in love. Landon, from Rock Legend, is getting the help he needs for himself, and for Piper. I love visiting with past characters from other books in a series. I love watching their lives shift and change throughout each novel.

What else can I really say to do this book justice? Verity is beautiful, inside and out, and she’s so strong. She’s stronger than she gives herself credit for. Tara Leigh writes amazing heroines. They’re perfectly flawed and real. And her heroes are everything I love in brooding, but amazing, men. No one is without their baggage and stories, but isn’t that what real life is like? We all have our journeys. I can not wait for the last band member, Jett, to fall. I want him to fall so hard that his knees get bruised. I can already tell that I’m going to make him one of my book boyfriends, but he’s so damn cocky, and his heroine will need to be strong. I want her to make him beg, because that sexy AF rockstar has never had to beg. He has a trail of panties and broken hearts behind him.

Do yourself a favour and start with book #1, Rock King. You’ll appreciate the supporting characters a bit more by knowing their stories. Plus, why the hell would you miss out on Shane and Landon’s books? They’re goddamn delicious!

Rating: 5 Stars (A+)

There is beauty in anonymity and heartache in recognition. In other words just because someone knows you by name, doesn't mean they understand your private struggles. Rock Rebel reminds me of an old movie entitled, "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter." It told the tale of a deaf man who had a heart full of love. He showered his love on the people around him, but lost himself along the way. The best of intentions ended in tragedy. Dax and Verity use music to tamp down the pain, they hide inside. Neither is aware of the gift they share with the world. That is until they experience it through the eyes of each other. Can their spiritual awakening save them from the darkness that haunts their hearts? Tara Leigh takes readers on a journey into the looking glass to see how the other half lives. Rock Rebel begins as a heartbreaking solo, but ends as an inspiring duet.

Just when you think that the last Rock series book that you read is the best one then along comes the next one to blow it out of the water. In Rock Rebel Tara gives us an amazing story of two broken souls meeting and mending.

Dax the brilliant musician and the guitarist for Nothing But Trouble has a troubled past . His great love left him behind to chase her career and he is now ruined for other women. Verity is a former tv star from The Show, whose every move is controlled by her overbearing Mother. Verity decides to rebel plan her own comeback but she still has to live with the pain of her past.

Dax and Verity meet in an elevator and are instantly attracted to each other. Feelings sizzle between them even though they are trying to stay away from each other. Dax writes a secret song about his feelings for Verity and saves it to the wrong folder on his computer next thing he knows Verity is singing it in the studio and he is asked to accompany her on guitar and they can no longer ignore their feelings and avoid each other.

This story is about their push and pull as they fight their explosive attraction but then fall in love. This leads to big secrets being revealed leading up to a shocker finale. Wow what a twist I was not expecting that one!

Another brilliant book from Tara, an allnighter not to be missed! If you have not read the previous two books in the series and love rockstar romances, catch up!

Rock Rebel Book 3 Nothing but Trouble series by Tara Leigh

5++++ Stars

I absolutely LOVED this story! This story is as great as the other two stories in the series!! It is very captivating!!

Dax and Verity~
Dax in a famous band, Nothing But Trouble, playing the lead guitar.
Verity was a pop princess who lost her popularity due to cancelling her show.

"Whoever said "The truth shall set you free" was a godd*** genius."
"Loving Dax. Being loved by Dax. It was magic."

Highly Recommend!!

I was given an arc in exchange for my honest review.
This is the third book in the series of Nothing But Trouble and also the last.
Verity Moore is trying hard to restart her career but not as an actress but as a singer. But she knows that it won’t be easy because she was a child actor who’s show was canceled two years ago.
Dax Hughes is the guitarist for “Nothing But Trouble”, but he was also part of Classic Hughes before he left for California.
Verity is trying to forget her past and focus on her own life and what’s to come of her relationship with Dax.
Secrets and lies will come and could tear them down or make them stronger to overcome what comes.

Verity was the star of a music show until it ended three years later. She used that opportunity to try and distance herself from her controlling manager Mom which led to some actions that didn’t enhance her reputation. She has been given the opportunity to open up for the rock band Nothing But Trouble and she is not about to let anything destroy her chance and that includes getting involved with the lead guitarist.

Dax was about to become the next classical music phenom until a broken heart led him to choosing a different path playing rock music with Nothing But Trouble. He is not about to trust anyone with his heart but especially not another musician.

The chemistry between them is off the charts and they both have their reasons for not getting involved but apparently their bodies or their hearts didn’t get the memo. Not only do they have concerns about the effect this could have on their careers but both are damaged by their pasts and they must decide if they are willing to take the chance and open up their hearts.

Full of emotion and twists Verity and Dax’s story is something you don’t want to miss. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book

Dax Hughes is the lead guitarist for Nothing But Trouble and he has a secret. Verity is a pop singer and hugely successful in her own right. She has a painful past. Can the couple possibly work out in a relationship? These two had chemistry from the beginning of their meeting. I have really enjoyed every book in this series.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.

WOW!! I loved, loved, loved Dax and Verity’s story in Rock Rebel by Tara Leigh, book three in her Nothing But Trouble series. Ms. Leigh created a wonderful and emotional story between two people forced by their parents and their amazing talents to grow up quickly. Dax was a classical music prodigy before leaving his family and Julliard to become the lead guitarist for Nothing but Trouble; becoming a rebel. Verity has the voice of an angel and forced to pursue the life her mother wanted in Hollywood. Unfortunately for Verity, and possibly with her manager/mother’s knowledge, she became a victim to the demands and sexual overtones of the men that controlled which female was cast for roles. #MeToo. Verity returned to Hollywood hoping to get a second chance with her singing career. She signed with Mick, the same manager/agent for Nothing but Trouble, severing ties with the career her mother planned for her and stopping her mother from controlling her and her money. Verity was to be the opening act for Nothing but Trouble, travelling with them on tour.

Dax believed he was an outcast, a misfit, a rebel, not caring what others thought. He was determined to keep secrets from his past secret and hidden from others; including Verity. Dax suspected she too had a scandalous past. Beginning with the moment Dax met Verity he sensed her past, her fears, her dreams, who she really was. He actually wrote a song describing all of that rebellion and need that Verity ended up singing it as a duet with Dax. These two had off the chart chemistry; that only grew as they spent time together. Before Dax and Verity can nurture a healthy and strong relationship they both must confront their skeletons and secrets; even if a connection or common person exists that has to be dealt with. Both Dax and Verity quickly learn they were mistaken about some of the truths they had believed. I loved how strong Verity became in dealing with and outing the demons in her past and how Dax was there to support her. I also admired how Dax understood that Verity had to come to terms with her hurts, her past on her own terms and not on his schedule. #MeToo

Ms. Leigh wrote an emotional and moving story filled with sexual chemistry, fun dialogue, and endearing characters that is not to be missed. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I highly recommend Rock Rebel to other readers and really looking forward to the next book in this series.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Rock Rebel is not a typical rockstar-romance, where we get a naughty guitar master who makes the chicks drop their panties over their heads. Oh no ... This story is emotional. And I guarantee that it will stay with you for a long time.

Accidental meeting in the elevator where the main characters immediately feel the wave of desire sounds quite cliche, right? Well, that's what Verity and Dax's first meeting looked like. She immediately recognized the rock star standing in front of her. But he didn’t recognize the disgraced pop princess. When they bumped into each other for the second time and Dax looked at her this time, it immediately cooled his enthusiasm. He has a golden rule – no more getting involved with women in the industry. He tried it in the past and it didn’t end well. Fate, however, has other plans for these two. Verity is embraced under the management of the man who also deals with Nothing But Trouble - Dax's band. A common tour and recording together sounds like torture when you force yourself to silence your lust and try to ignore sizzling chemistry. Besides, will the past and the secrets that they both hide allow these two to get their happy ending?

Oh, my heart. How it suffered. How it swelled with joy. How much did it feel along with the main characters! And what a characters! Both Verity and Dax are simply amazing. Separately they may seem a bit flawed by what happened to them, but together ... PURE PERFECTION!

„Two souls with just enough wrongs to make everything right.”

Amazing love story, touching an important and quite controversial topic, with the right amount of heat, drama and humor. Ideally created characters and style of writing which makes the pages turn themselves over and you hope that you will never get to the end. In a nutshell that’s how I can describe Rock Rebel by Tara Leigh. I recommend with my whole HEART!

Dax was on edge being back in NYC where he had been born and raised. He held the elevator for a woman and he felt desire coil through him when she smiled at him. Than she told Dax her astrological sign and told him his horoscope. Then It was the floor the gym was on and she got off the elevator. Afterwards verity wondered what had gotten into her , she didn’t flirt. Especially not with Dax Hughes the rock star. She had seen him before- a few times in person, hundreds of times in the celebrity magazines. Dax was everything Verity tried to avoid. With Dax’s heated glances she had felt unwanted desire. Dax made Verity’s head spin and her knees weak. She didn’t know if the feeling was mutual and she didn’t want to find out. She was taking a break from men and dating. From being a prop for someone’s over inflated ego. Verity was taking charge of her own life, her career. She was putting herself first. Dax was the guitarist for Nothing But Trouble and he was the kind of trouble Verity didn’t need. Verity was a disgraced pop princess. Travis- her new manager- the only other manager she had ever had was her mom and they hadn’t worked out very well. It was a secret her mother didn’t know she was being fired yet. Travis wouldn’t have signed her on if he didn’t believe she could overcome her bad reputation. The next day verity needed to win over the industry execs. Long before Nothing But Trouble Dax had been a member of Classic Hughes. An ensemble consisting of his parents, his sister-Aria- and his twin brothers and Amelia. A neighbors neglected daughter eventually Dax fell in love with her. But now her name twisted in his stomach. Dax had been part of that ensemble for six years and a lifetime ago. His parents had installed the love of music in their family early on. Dax had been playing instruments before he could talk. Wood, string, percussion it didn’t really matter. Music was a language. Dax had went to L A to look for Amelia but apparently she didn’t want to be found. At least not by him. Dax had found Amelia after six weeks but she made it clear she didn’t want to revive their relationship and there was someone else. He was in a bar when a band had started playing but the guitarist was three notes behind the rest of the band . Than the band front man kicked him off the stage and asked if anyone there knew their way around a guitar and wanted to join them. Two hours later Dax was closing out the bar and he had never played a guitar before that night. The other three guys in the band already felt like family. Verity was finally doing what she loved-singing. She wondered how She wondered how she had become an actress for so long. Verity had felt silenced. But it had never disappeared . Piper worked for Travis and he told her to take Verity out to eat but keep very low key. They went over to Delaney and Shane’s. Shane was Dax’s band mate. Dax was furious when he realized the girl in the elevator had been Verity. He knew he couldn’t have her. Normally Dax was the laid back one in the band . But tonight he was coiled tight with desire for a woman he couldn’t have. Because he knew better . Trying to ,make a relationship work with someone in the industry wasn’t worth it. Been there, done that. Had the scars to prove it. They were embossed in his brain and on his soul. Amelia had left his heart a shattered mess. Delaney had ruined dinner and they all went out to eat. Verity thought of her grandparents and choked up. She went to restroom on her way out a man from her past would not let her past him . but then Dax showed up and he let her go. Verity had been terrified Dax knew that. The only way you wound up with an expression like that is if someone gave you a reason to be that scared. Than his seventeen year old sister Aria texted him. She wanted to move to L A and she wanted to stay with him. Travis came to tell Verity that she had a contract and she would be going on a six month world tour with Nothing But Trouble- the band Dax was a part of. Verity drove to Dax’s house to thank him for coming to her aid that night at the restaurant. She had brought donuts with her and gave them to Dax. When their fingers brushed shock from the contact went up her arms. The simple touch ignited a dozen different electrical explosions in her body. What did this man do to her?
Such an excellent book and I loved it. I read it in one day as i didn’t want to put down unless I absolutely had to. I loved Dax and Verity together and how they interacted. I also loved how protective Dax was even though he told himself he couldn’t be with Verity. I loved the plot and pace of this book. I believe this was realistic in the problems celebrities have with relationships with other celebrities in Hollywood as well as the abuse starlets sometimes have to put up with and being a cash cow for their parents. The three characters I really hated were jack, verity’s mother and of course Amelia/Millie. But they were a large part of this story and needed to be who they were. But still what pieces of work they were. I couldn’t find anything to criticize in this book- very happily. Another new favorite. I loved the characters well except for the three and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

Rock Rebel is the last book in the Nothing But Trouble series. And boy did it go out in style. Tara Leigh style that is.

Dax Hughes has been waiting in the shadows to tell his story. His story is emotional. I feel that it may be my favorite of the three books.

Verity Moore isn't the goodie-two-shoes that Dax believes her to be. In fact, there's a lot more to her than meets the eye.

When Dax and Verity meet it is explosive. Their story is full of lust, sadness, passion, and heartbreak. It's so beautifully written and told. I love both characters and I want my own Dax. Dax is a very caring and loving man. He is a perfect gentleman when it comes to Verity.

This book has some surprising twists that I was not expecting. They made me love the book even more. I know that sounds crazy but it all just fit together and made the book that much more enjoyable. For me anyway.

Rock Rebel is a great conclusion for the NBT series. Maybe the author will write Jett's story sometime in the future. His Happy For Now actually left me wanting his story even more.

Overall: 4.5 / 5

Rock Rebel is the third book in the Nothing but Trouble series written by author Tara Leigh. It can be read as a standalone romance since each book in the series focuses on a different member of the band. Even though this is true, I do recommend you start off with the first book, Rock King. The Nothing but Trouble series occurs congruently, and if you read them out of order, you may learn some information that occurred in one of the other books. Just know that it is not necessary, just a suggestion.

Rock Rebel tells the story of Dax Hughes, the lead guitarist for the rock band Nothing but Trouble. Verity Moore was a famous pop star and she even had her own TV show. Then things happened and she's now being shamed. Verity decided to make a career change and has signed up to be the opening act in Nothing but Trouble’s next tour. Although, it’s not as easy as she thought it would be. Can a pop princess go on tour with a legendary rock band?

Rock Rebel is a gripping story full of drama, angst, with so many emotions. I was hooked from the very first page. It was so steamy, and a must read series!

I received an Advanced Reader Copy from Forever Yours for my unbiased opinion of the book. This is the third installment in the Nothing But Trouble series and it's just as good as the first book. The book centers around Dax Hughes and Verity Moore both running from their pasts and end up running into each other. When they get finally realize they both have demons they need to squash before either of them truly has a future separately or together they need to face them in order to let them go. Tara what a great book! I read it in a day and couldn't put it down! I can't wait to read Jett's story!!!

Like with the other books in this series, Tara Leigh dares to show us the dark side of life. The trouble, the pain and the heartache. Life isn't a dance on roses all the time, and I love authors that dare to challenge their readers when it comes to subjects that might be on the taboo side.
I think Tara Leigh does a great job when she wrote these stories. Some parts are dark and emotional, and other parts are more on the romantic side.
And I think that these parts mixes well together and makes a good story.

I hope you will enjoy Verity and Dax's story as much as I did.

4.5 Rebel Stars!
Wow, this third installment in the Nothing But Trouble series is a gripping romance filled with secrets, scandals and passion! Verity Moore has made too many wrong decisions, never taking the easy path. She is determined to leave her Disgraced Pop Princess image behind and build a singing career she can be proud of. Dax Hughes is a classically trained musician who found a new passion as lead guitarist for Nothing but Trouble. The band became his family, but he still held secrets and guilt from his past. Nothing But Trouble's Manager, Travis, now represents Verity and she soon is slated to open for them on tour. Verity and Dax have instant chemistry and their passion for music connects them intrinsically. But they fight their attraction, hoping to not repeat past mistakes. Verity is strong and resilient, making Dax feel more alive. Dax is so kind and thoughtful wanting to ease Verity's burdens. I loved both Verity and Dax, because neither are perfect, but they are perfect for each other. I love Ms. Leigh's writing and how she covered sensitive and current issues with honesty and empathy. The ending brought me to tears and I totally loved it. This is a beautiful story that is heartrending, complex, and very sexy. I really fell hard for the men from Nothing But Trouble, and the strong women who love them, and can't wait for more!
