This is a great commentary series. Full of valuable information on God's word for us to use in our lives and in our daily study. From a publisher we can trust to help us dive in and see God's word and what Paul was saying to the people of Cornith and how it is appropriate for us today.

Very easy to follow and a great book on 1 Corinthians. This book will make things clear for rhe reader. Great companion pice for this book in the Bible. Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the arc of this book in return for my honest review. Receiving the book in this manner had no bearing on my honest review.

This is top notch. If you want to get a good understanding of the Big picture in 1 Corinthians, then this is the book for you. A fairly short read that will give that to you in plain and simple language. I think the author has successfully achieved what he intended and what this series of commentaries is all about.

My goal for 2019 is to read the bible. Flipping through this book I can see that it will definitely help me to study and understand. I will be ordering these books for the branch library so that patrons will be able to study the Word too.

The author started by explaining the key themes and main topics talked about in 1 Corinthians. He provided some background, an overview, and an outline of the letter. He then worked his way through 1 Corinthians by focusing on the next topic in the letter. easy to follow

This book is a commentary on 1 Corinthians. The author started by explaining the key themes and main topics talked about in 1 Corinthians. He provided some background, an overview, and an outline of the letter. He then worked his way through 1 Corinthians by focusing on the next topic in the letter. He started by quoting some verses introducing the main problem and Paul's solution. He followed this by working verse by verse through that section, explaining in detail what Paul was saying, giving context to the problem, and explaining what Old Testament verses he was referring to. This is more of a sermon style than a traditional commentary. It was easy to follow what the author was saying, and it did help clarify what Paul meant and what the Corinthians were dealing with. Overall, I'd recommend this Bible commentary.
