Four stories with two of my favourite tropes: friends to lovers and second chance romance.

🎄🎄🎄🎄

Sweet caring hero + Strong cinnamon roll heroine.

Cassie is celebrating Christmas with her little brothers and sister at Graham's house (he's an earl) and it was really adorable to watch this two fall in love. I loved Cassie's little brothers and her sister Annie.
Graham was an amazing hero, he looked after those he love. He was really connected with his feelings and he doesn't feel ashamed for it. He helped Cassie to heal because she's still grieving for her parent's death and Graham wants to be there for here and he wants to ease her pain. He's a sweetheart.

🎄🎄🎄🎄

I liked the heroine and I thought the story was sweet but the hero made her suffer unnecessarily.

🎄🎄🎄🎄

I liked that he was nobility and that he wanted to do something to help the working class. I like a socially conscious hero. And the heroine too, I think in the end I liked her more than him. I understand the reasons why he was angry at her at the beginning but if he only talked with her first . . .

🎄🎄🎄

Friends to lovers story. I liked the hero but her not so much.

A Christmas Courting is just the right mix of romance and Christmas. Actually, I waited until Christmas evening to enjoy this book and it was perfect! I liked the sweet, innocent romantic connections in each of these novellas. But, I, also, believe it would be great any time of the year.

Love and Joy Come to You is a charming romance between a couple who have both experienced loss. Graham care a great deal for his mother and wants to make sure she does not suffer through Christmas without her husband and daughter. Cassie has custody of her three siblings and are staying with Graham and his mother along with her aunt. Graham’s mother and Cassie’s aunt play a bit of matching making for these two in an unexpected way.

A Christmas Courting - Keturah’s childhood friend, Christopher, has returned from a year abroad. She knows he has come back to propose to the woman who has his heart, but does not know who it is. He asks her advice about courting and proposing, but will not reveal this woman. Keturah is heart broken but determined to support her friend as much as her heart will allow. We see who it is, but she does not.

Mistletoe Memories - Let me just say that I did not like the way Patrick seemed to be selfish in his hurt over what he believed to be Alice’s betrayal. He was not willing to even ask her what happened that caused her to be engaged to marry another man. It is obvious she and Patrick were still in love. So many turned from her and their friendship which made Patrick’s lack of trust all the more hurtful. He did a great job of redeeming himself.

Second-Chance Christmas Francie and Gerard have that connection that is undeniable, but also have a bit of miscommunication. Francie and Gerard are truly the best of friends and have a long history together. You root for them from the very beginning so they will reach their HEA without too much heartache along the way.

I really enjoyed this book of four novellas that take place around the Christmas holiday. Two of the four stories are second chance romances. All of the stories are quick reads and have happy endings. I was familiar with two of the authors but previously unfamiliar with the other two. All of the stories were clean with no sex or foul language and brought a smile to my face.

I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my review.

This is a group of lovely stories set during Christmas. Great stories that fit perfectly into the joy of the season. These love stories touch your heart and soul. I can't pick a favorite because all of them were wonderful in their own way. Clean and sweet. All the authors rock. I highly recommend it. I received this book from Net Galley and Covenant Communications for a honest review. The opinions expressed are my own.

A Christmas Courting is a collection of short stories which show that love around Christmas time is cheesy, romantic and can happen to anyone, even if you don't expect it.

There is not much to say about this book. It was short and magical (most of the time) and it put me in a spirit of love and understanding. A perfect read around Christmas time for any romance lovers out there. If you're looking for more emotion thank action- this book is for you!

My favorite story would be the first one where Cassie, the oldest out of 4 siblings, takes care after her brothers and sister after the death of their parents and she does everything to make sure their Christmas is filled with joy and happiness. This story was just beautiful even though the ending was very convenient and a little bit corny but the writing was good and I really thought it would be a great story by itself as a book.

There were two stories that were just plainly boring and I didn't enjoy reading but I am not going to name them here as the rest of the book was worth reading it!.

Thank you Net Galley for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A lovely set of four Regency novellas set during Christmas time. I’ve only read stories by Chalon Linton previously, but the new-to-me authors provided charming stories. Nothing ties the shorts together, other than being set at Christmas, but I like that a recurring theme seemed to be the concept of being surprised by love, whether it’s a new relationship or an old friend.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

These short stories were so cute! I love the combo of historical romance and Christmas. Quick reads and all of the make you swoon. Since I've been reading such long series lately, it was nice to read something short and sweet. Recommend for all ages.

A Christmas Courting by Jennifer Moore, et al. Covenant Communications, 2018.

The thread of uncertainty runs through this collection of four short regency romances. In three of these, childhood friends come together after a separation. We are present when the hero and heroine meet for the first time in the other story. All four stories feature characters that we like and care about.

This book is a light, easy and enjoyable read.

Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of this book from Covenant Communications through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I just finished A Christmas Courting and I give it 3 stars. I was not aware that this was a book of short stories to begin with, so imagine my surprise when I was approaching 25% and everything seemed to be wrapping up, and wondering what would happen to the other 75%! This book has a very Hallmark movie feel, and if that’s your cup of tea you will enjoy this. The descriptive language is beautiful too!

This book is so fun! Four great stories to bring the holidays a little romance. I highly recommend this one!

This collection was heartwarming and gave me all of the lovely, fuzzy Christmas feelings. There really is something to be said about a Christmas courtship. These authors handle the etiquette of the time paired with trying to spark a romantic match perfectly. We see friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, and a whole heap of misunderstanding which makes the endings that much sweeter.

If you are looking for some warm fuzzies for the holidays with happy endings then this would be the perfect book for you.

This is a delightful book of stories that are sure to get you into the Christmas mood. There are four different stories from four authors and I found that I enjoyed all of them. They all have interesting characters with a sweet romance story that wraps up nicely at the end. It is the perfect book to enjoy during the holiday season.

I'm a sucker for a good Christmas holiday romance! But FOUR! Yes and thank you!!

In LOVE AND JOY COME TO YOU by Jennifer Moore we meet Grahman Montagu, who planned on spending a quiet time at home over the holidays. But thanks to Cassie and her siblings, those quiet times are dashed. But maybe Grahman needed happiness as much as peace.

A CHRISTMAS COURTING by Chalon Linton Keturah would much rather be in the country for the holidays but she is stuck in London. She knows she will miss the festivities greatly as will as her best friend Christopher. Her luck may be changing when she learns he is planning to spend the time in London with her family. Then why does she feel so down about the prospect of him being in London to court some other woman?

MISTLETOE MEMORIES by Jen Geigle Johnson Patrick and Alice have been long time friends, like, since babyhood and Patrick soon finds his feelings for Alice are more than being friends. Alice feels the same, but he hasn't shown any particular interest in her. So what is she to do? Especially when Patrick leaves her for a tour and she is stuck home.

SECOND-CHANCE CHRISTMAS by Heidi Kimball Ah! Love unrequited. Or love spurned. Or love...you get the point. Frances once rejected Gerard's proposal of marriage. She thought she was doing the right thing. But when she watches him with other ladies, her heart tells her she was wrong and will now have to fight for him.

Thanks to netgalley for the early read!

This was a romantic collection of historic Christmas love stories.
Perfect to curl up on a chilly day and enjoy.

This collection of stories was so incredibly sweet and romantic. There was so much joy and happiness and so much holiday spirit! I mean, there was snow and sledding and ice skating and Christmas meals and parties . . . it was fantastic. You would think that the romance would feel a little rushed since all of them were just novellas. But in all but one of the stories, the people knew each other before the holiday and the courtship. The romance in the first story did feel a tad rushed since their feelings came on rather quickly and they were basically strangers. But I still loved it. I loved every single novella and relationship. They were all just so sweet. I loved them. If you are looking for stories with romance, friendship and best of all, holiday spirit, then this is the book for you!

Love and Joy Come to You by Jennifer Moore
Graham expects that he and his mother, sorrowing over losses in their family, will spend a quiet Christmas at home, but he discovers his mother has invited a friend as well as the friend's nieces and nephews to stay for the holiday. Graham worries that this will be too much for his mother, but as he and Cassie Weatherby work to help his mother and her siblings be happy this Christmas, Graham quickly comes to be glad that Cassie and her family have come to visit.

A Christmas Courting by Chalon Linton
Keturah doesn't want to spend Christmas in London; she wants to spend it at home. And things get worse when she finds out that her dear friend Christopher, who will be joining them, wants her to give him advice on how to court the woman he loves. With her heart belonging to Christopher, Keturah doesn't know how she will stand to watch him try to woo another.

Mistletoe Memories by Jen Geigle Johnson
Alice and Patrick had known since they were children that they would wed someday and would work together to effect reform in England. But now, Patrick, returned from two years abroad, hopes to avoid Alice entirely, since he can't stand to face her knowing that she didn't wait for him but has wed another. Even when he realizes she didn't marry someone else, he can't forgive her for even caring for someone else--and yet, he loves her still.

Second-Chance Christmas by Heidi Kimball
When her long-time friend Gerard proposed, Francie declined. Four months later, he has returned home for Christmas and Francie hopes that they can put everything behind them and continue to be friends. As she watches Gerard's interactions with his houseguests--including a vivacious young woman--Francie starts to realize that she may have made the biggest mistake of her life when she turned Gerard down.

This is a delightful collection! It's got everything--interesting plots, great characters, and a Christmas setting. I enjoyed learning more about Regency Christmas customs, and I especially loved seeing how each couple overcame obstacles to find happiness. Great choice for those looking for heartwarming Christmas stories and sweet romances.

I read a review copy via #NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

3.5 stars

I really enjoyed the first story. (4 stars) Jennifer Moore's story of Lord Covington's dismay at finding his mother had invited young guests and the way this gets turned around to a successful Christmas Holiday is very engaging.

The second story (3.5 stars) by Chalon Linton was also very interesting. The only thing that put me off was the heroine's name, Keturah. My Kindle told me that this was a biblical name but for the life of me I couldn't square this with Regency London. Though I see from Google there's a reference to someone living in Hinckley in 1800 having it.

I liked the premise of the third story (3.5 stars), Jen Geigle Johnson, and it made a great start though I thought it lost its way towards the end.

Heidi Kimball's story (3 stars) worked well as a second chance tale, though I didn't really chime with Francie and her changing opinions and felt a bit sorry for Gerard being on the end of her change of heart.

All sweet stories.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was one of the worst books i have ever read. Each story got worse than the one before it. But the worst by far was Jen Geigle Johnson's. There was no hero in this book. The male character was so selfish and shallow and worried about himself he could never have loved the supposed heroine. She was weak as he was almost. I almost stopped reading and just give up, but i always try to finish a book once started. I would not recommend this book or any of the stories in it individually to anyone. I never like to give bad reviews because i usually appreciate the effort of the author at least. But there is a first time for everything.

I was given an ARC from the publisher and netgalley.
The opinion is my own.
