This is the second book in the Extinction of All Children series. It is a very exciting book. I find myself almost speed reading to find out what is going to happen next. This book has a few corrections that need to be made, but other than that it is a wonderful story. I can't wait to read book 3. To the Author: I would be glad to send you my notes on the errors if you are interested.

This is another interesting installment in the trilogy. Although the plot is interesting, I felt like the writing was stilted and could have used a few more rounds of revision and cutting of superfluous details.

I would like to thank Netgalley for providing me with this ARC.
I don’t know what happened. I really felt like this series had a lot of potential and it just fell flat. It was like we had all of this build up, but the build up really didn’t go anyplace. The plot line moved really slow, the characters didn’t show any growth, and the writing didn’t improve. We had all of this going for us and it just didn’t happen.
The plot was supposed to be full of surprises, but those surprises were actually very predictable and the twists just didn’t go as planned. I mean, there was so much that could have happened and be done, even if it was predictable. I mean, look at The Hunger Games, the plot there was highly predictable, but there was so many well done twists that it was still surprising. I really feel that if LP is going to stay in this genre that something has to change.
The writing didn’t improve at all throughout the series. We were still being told what was going to happen, then being shown. It was super choppy and lacked a lot of the elements needed to write really good science fictions. I don’t know how it can be improved other than with practice. However, if you are not listing to any of your critics, then there is no way that you can improve on it.
The characters were flat, even the villains. It was extremely hard to get invested in what was going on with them. I just ended up not caring about them. Emma’s character didn’t even change at all. This was something I pointed out in my last review and it still bothers me. I really do like my characters to change and grow, which is something that should happen in books like this.
Anyway…This was a series with all the potential in the world, but it just didn’t come out as planned.

In this second book. We find Emma has made it to Territory M. She is determined to find M's leader and try to talk them into tearing the walls down. To find her niece Abigail, and to try to bring equality to everyone. Imagine her surprise when the Leader of Territory M is President Esther's husband. In this part of Emma's journey she is betrayed, reunited with loved ones, separated from lived ones. People die and a deal is struck with President Esther. If Emma and her friends can reach Territory U in a designated amount of time. They have a certain amount of days to gather petition signatures from the people there on whether they believe the walls should be torn down and people having equal opportunities to progress in their lives. Time is short, who knows if President Esther will honor her agreement or will she change the rules again?
Exciting!! Can't wait for book number three!!

Accurately depicted as a cross between The Hunger Games and Divergent series, I read all three of the books in this series within a week or two. They were interesting, fast-paced and enthralling. It's always interesting to picture these dystopian worlds and imagine how humanity got there, but even more so with the state of our current affairs!
A few story lines were slightly cheesy and the writing was exactly high-quality with the characters coming across as immature and whiny most of the time, but the story itself was truly inspired!

Book # 2 in the Extinction of all Children series, Journey to Territory M felt like a whole lot of hurrying to go nowhere. It seems some of the reader's questions will be answered with this book, but of course we need the last book in the series to get to a resolution. Emma's journey from Territory L to Territory M is dangerous, but they manage to make it. The teenagers meet up with a group of runaways in an abandoned school. Things get more intense for Emma and she is starting to learn that she can't trust everyone. The writing in this book is a slight improvement to the first book. Editing needs to carefully examine sentence structure and descriptive adjectives to make sure they fit with what is happening (stomping feet when they are trying to remain undetected is one good example.) I like the story line, it has promise.

I seriously struggled with finishing this book. The story was endlessly long and boring. So many things were pointless to the plot. It felt like a book full of fillers and only fillers, no real point. I didn't enjoy this book at all which was shocking because i loved book #1.

Journey to Territory M is the second installment in author LJ Epps Extinction of All Children trilogy. In a place called Craigluy, which apparently exists between Arizona and California, a President has determined that the "country" will be divided into three territories for the lower class, middle-class, and the upper class. In 2080, she determined that no more babies were allowed to be born in the lower-class territory. Any baby born would be killed and parents punished with no chance at appealing her decision.
This policy of infanticide has worked. Until Emma Whisperer turned 18. Emma is the last child legally born in Territory L. Emma made it her mission to challenge the status quo, which led to her attempting to escape to Territory M. This story picks up right where Extinction of All Children finished. Emma thought escaping from Territory L would solve all of her problems. She and her friends Eric & Julian soon find out that escaping to Territory M is not all she envisioned it would be.
She's still searching for her niece, Abigail, who may have been illegally adopted rather than killed. She also hopes to talk to the unknown leader of Territory M in hopes that they will help her in her quest to tear down the walls. With President Esther and her henchman Rich nipping at their heels at every turn, and a massive manhunt or Emma, things don't go exactly as she had planned. There's an underlying story behind Esther's thoughts when it comes to her actions regarding Emma. No, I won't spoil it.
This book pretty much is a story of running and hiding. Duck and covering. Finding a new group called Runaways proves that you can't always trust those you meet. It is a story of how much things in M are really different from where Emma was raised. But, there were times that the story felt a bit disconnected, and I am sorry to say, I want a whole lot of characters to die in the most agonizing way.

Journey to Territory M is the second in a series by L. J. Epps. Book one was Extinction of all Children. Journey to Territory M starts immediately where book one ended. Similar to The Hunger Games, these stories are for the young adult readers. I am far from that age group but enjoyed this story. I was given a copy to review.

While not as strongly written as book 1, I still felt pulled in. Definitely read in order. Good characters, but the dialogue was just weak.

Book two finds Emma in Territory M, along with fellow guards and escapees Eric and Julian. She is still searching for her niece, who may have been illegally adopted rather than killed. She also hopes to talk to the unknown leader of Territory M, in hopes that they will help her in her quest to tear down the walls.
The underlying purpose of book two is simple: hide, and don’t get caught. So why are Emma, Eric, and Julian constantly doing things that would defeat that purpose? It was more than a little annoying, to say the least. Things were often described in odd ways—wind ‘splashing’ or carpet ‘bending’—and feet are always stomping or thumping (as emphasized in the book). I think those annoyances led me to being nit-picky about how Emma is obsessed about her hair (given how often she thinks about it), and repeatedly thinks of her niece as Baby Abigail 99% of the time, because it really irritated me after a while.
New characters were introduced, but little progress was made in moving the main plot forward. Instead, the group moves on to Territory U, and the final book of the series.

Great book to the third part of this series. We get a glimpse on how the characters are able to overcome tough situations . Makes you think how this could happen in the "real world".

This was a great sequel in the Extinction series. I love the unusual plot line. It’s full of excitement and adventure. I can’t wait to start book 3 of the series!!
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

3.5 stars. We start to get some more answers but also a lot more questions about the world Emma is living in. The concept is sound but the details are shakey - I'm still not impressed with the forced love triangle situation and in this book, I feel like there was a lot of discussion about clothing, which was odd. Hoping this series ends on a higher note that makes it worth reading three books to get to the ending.
Thanks to the publisher for providing this through Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed reading this. Come find out what happens in Territory M. I didn't want to put this down.

This pick up where the first book ends, after Emma and Eric escape with Julian’s help to Territory M. Emma and company will have to learn that you can’t always trust everyone that you think you can and that those that you feel you shouldn’t trust can be your best ally.
I can see this happening if people allow themselves to stop caring about those we elect to serve us do and it's a scary thought...
While there are some flaws with the writing, this is something that I feel will be resolved as the author gains more experience.
3.5/5 STARS: **This is an honest, unbiased review. I would like to thank the author and/or/publisher for providing an ARC through Netgalley, all opinions are mine. **

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book it was my first by this author but not my last. I highly recommend it to everyone.

I seriously struggled with the writing in this book. Too many times the wording made so little sense it kept me from following what was going on in the story. For example in chapter 6: why are you shooting a rat in the ac duct work if you are trying to sneak away? Why would you yell to "hurry up" if your trying to escape quietly out of the building? Chapter 7: "We end up at a set of steps. There are three large steps that we walk up. " It just comes off as someone trying to reach a word count or something.
I really like the plot of the story, the idea behind the divisions in classes and Whisper trying to break down the walls but there are so many distracting things about this story I just found myself very frustrated most of the time. I would not recommend this book.
