I have read Joy Fielding for over 30 years. Her books are like old friends. I have read them all and she has had hits and misses, but they are all comforting, fast, easy reads. Like Lifetime movies. This one falls in between a hit and a miss in that it is definitely fast-paced with something happening in each chapter. I enjoyed all of the characters, even annoying Heather, and their points of views, I pretty much had the ending figured out but it was still a fun ride, I just wasn't crazy about the FINAL ending. I don't want to give any spoilers, but I would have liked one part to be a different resolution. All in all though, I can definitely recommend this one!

This book is definitely not a thriller. Not that it wasn’t a good story. I enjoyed it and the writing was top notch. It is a story about relationships from four completely different perspectives. The characters are well developed, some incredibly unlikable. The process (and horror) of online dating will make any singles think twice after this one. The ending was somewhat abrupt, unfinished.

Thanks to NetGalley, the author and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for a copy in exchange for a review.

I enjoy Joy Fieldings work and this book was no exception. She does a great job of making her characters interesting & relatable Although at times I wanted to yell at multiple characters in this one. I was surprised by the ending which left me wanting more about the fates of some characters.

I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for this honest review.

I think Joy Fielding has outdone herself this time around!! I have read every single one of her books but this one by far was the BEST!!!
I could't put this book down..i was up all night to finish it.
I "sort" of had seen where this was going but till i got to the end wasn't quite sure.

The premise of this book really had me interested so I knew I was going to grab this from Netgalley. I definitely couldn't put this down in the beginning and really liked Paige. I liked most of the other characters but there were some I didn't like, Matt and Heather, for good reason. This book was definitely building to a climax at the end and I have to say that I felt a bit letdown by the ending. The book was still definitely enjoyable.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the galley.

This is my first Joy Fielding novel, but I’m definitely interested in reading more from her. I loved the character development and the ending to this book a lot. I’m not sure I was particularly “thrilled” but it was still an enjoyable book to read. Thanks NetGalley for my ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was an odd book that defied any genre. At its core were several tales about relationships, both good and bad. Intermixed was the strange take of a sadistic killer and rapist who found his victims through online dating sites. The strange combination made for a very strange book. Although I guessed the ending long before the book was over it was still an interesting read. Thank you to the publishers and NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are honest and my own.

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read All the Wrong Places by Joy Fielding.

Joy Fielding does not disappoint with any of her books. She takes the everyday woman and puts her in situations that compromise and cause chaos - she puts the reader on the edge of the seat.

Another hit, recommend.

Unfortunately this one did not do much for me. I think classifying it as a thriller isn’t correct. It’s more drama than thriller. The plot is predictable. Most of the characters are not likable. I liked that the book has multiple narrators, that helped get a better perspective on things. I do think the author can write very well but I do not think this is a great plot.
Thank you NetGalley and Ballentine Books for giving me this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Heather kind of hates her cousin. That's why she took her boyfriend away. Then she dumped him. She works at the same type of job, but just got fired. She dresses the same, only more risque. To top off things they look so much alike, they could be twins.
Now her cousin has gone and left her in her apartment. Some kind of emergency. Oh, but look! Paige has left her cell phone behind. The message ding indicates a text. Looks like she has a date with a hot guy from a dating app. She'll show her! She'll just go on this date. Oh, sweet revenge!!!
There's a murderer on the loose in Boston. He is dating women, takes them to his apartment then tortures, rapes and kills them. Dating apps are so convenient for meeting women. You can be anyone you want on those apps. No one really knows who you are.
This is one of my favorite Authors. Her characters can be actual people. Her storylines go with what is the "in" thing going on. Excellent read!

3.5 stars.

I enjoy Joy Fielding as an author and usually find her books well written and compelling. While I enjoyed All the Wrong Places, it was not my favorite of hers. That being said, the characters were well drawn: I found myself cheering for Joan, shaking my head in disbelief at the atrocious Heather and being worried for Paige, amongst others. The ending, as other reviewers have also stated, left the reader feeling a bit unmoored.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for a preview copy of this book. All opinions in this review are strictly my own.

Worth reading for the very unique ending.

Before I review this book, I must say that I am a huge Joy Fielding fan, so when this book became available I was thrilled to get it. I have read all Ms Fieldings books and this one didn’t disappoint. Excellent psychological thriller that kept me guessing until the very satisfying end. Difficult family relationships, cheating spouses, and dangerous online dating are just some of the things that bind these four women together. I couldn’t devour this book fast enough. Fantastic book!

5 stars. What a creep look at the world of online dating. Really enjoyed this chilling read, it gave you a view of every single character instead of just one and I thought that was a really intriguing way to write a book. Intense and chilling.
I will be highly recommending to the members of Chapter Chatter Pub.

This is my very first book by Joy Fielding for one reason or another because I actually have some of her books in my library but have just never gotten to them. I will say that I enjoyed this book but wouldn't really call it a mystery/thriller....more like women's fiction with a dash of suspense and a sexual sadist serial killer added in the back ground. The book follows the lives of 4 women who are intertwined and internet dating is a topic among the group. The ending wasn't bad because once you get to that point it's obvious to readers what happened to one of the characters at the hands of the serial killer even though it's technically left up in the air. I will have to read the books of hers that I still have in my library. Thank you Net Galley for allowing me to read this book.

Thank you to Random House/Ballantine and Net Galley for an early copy of this title. This is my first Joy Fielding book and I really enjoyed it. I look forward to reading her other books.

This book tells a story from several characters’ points of view, including mother, daughter, a cousin, and a best friend. I greatly disliked one of them, but I think that means good character development, similar to hating an actor’s character, but loving the actor. The story includes a scary description of on-line dating, and if I was hesitant to try it before, it’s out of the question now!! This is a great story, with many twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. This book could change your mind about on-line dating, and not for the better!

In All the Wrong Places, Fielding explores toxic family relationships. Heather and her cousin Paige, who look like sisters and were born two days apart, vie for attention their whole lives. When Paige ends up moving in with Heather's boyfriend at the same time Heather loses her job, Heather is beside herself, and determined to have a date for a family party.

Heather tries out online dating, as does her widowed mother. They learn that the husband of Heather's best friend is also trying online dating and his wife Chloe decides to divorce him. Her decision has disastrous consequences for not only herself but for Paige and Heather's family. Heather's mother meets a great guy online but that's not the result all of the other characters get when dipping their toes in the online dating waters.

A good, fast-paced read--you will likely figure out the ending in advance but enjoy getting there all the same.

An enjoyable, albeit very mixed plot novel by Joy Fielding. It started out about a serial killer that found his prey on online dating sites but then moved onto a story about a friend in an abusive relationship, a widowed mother starting to date again, a jealous cousin.... Very predictable ending - I had it figured out less than half way through the book. With that being said, not the best story I've read this year but worth checking out.

Thanks to Random House - Ballatine and NetGalley for an advanced read in exchange for this review.

This book is categorized as a thriller about online dating.  There's someone called Mr. Right Now who plans a special evening for an unlucky lady who will find herself dying a slow death at the end of the date.  Paige, her terrible cousin, Heather, Paige's mom Joan, and her best friend Chloe all try online dating.  One of them is going to be swiping right on Mr. Right Now.

I didn't see much of a thriller here.  While I enjoyed the book somewhat, the book seems primarily about the relationship between all of the characters with this deadly date in the background approaching.  Don't expect a big mystery because you'll have it figured it out quickly.  Most of the characters are unlikable, and the book will drag on slightly.
