Was able to download! Still have no idea where it is in my Kindle, but I could read the book. So, it's a lovely story about families and love. At the end you learn how the family became a family through foster parenting and then adoption. Good for any family! It's a great story with wonderful illustrations! Love the dog!

Lovely illustrations and my daughter loved reading this book since she is expecting a little brother this year.

This was quite adorable, and I definitely enjoyed it! I can't believe such a cute little story exists. In addition,

I wish it would have covered more issues, but I understand that it was just supposed to be a simplistic "get used to your new little sibling" book. It seemed to be pretty ... well, not very focused on the actual issues a new sibling will deal with? Like jealousy, feeling replaced, not being as loved by their parents, etc.

A beautiful story about a little boy and dog getting a little sister. The illustrations are lovely and the storyline is beautiful. I also loved the real-life pictures at the back of the book! A perfect read for a family that is expecting a newborn.

This picture book has very sweet and tender illustrations. In the story, a boy and his dog welcome a baby girl. They learn more about how to relate to a baby and a baby's needs. It is a nice story.

Caveat: This one is published by a Christian publishing house and refers to Jesus and God in the text. If you are not Christian, you may want to consider this. At the end of the book, there is acknowledgment that children come to families in different ways (birth, foster care adoption). There is again reference to God in this section. This book will therefore most likely appeal to those who share the faith of the authors.

A sweet story about a new baby in the house told through the perspective of the dog, Reagan. Along with his pal, Little Buddy, they learn how to act around the new baby, help out and love her. To me this was just one more story about a new baby. What made it unique for me was that it is based on a true story. The illustrations had matching real-life pictures at the end of the book. I also loved the fact that real-life Reagan, Little Buddy and Baby Girl were all adopted or fostered.

This is the story of how a family cope with the addition of a new baby to their home, told from the perspective of the family dog. It's a lovely story and draws attention to the special situation of adopted and foster families, which is nice. This is a Christian book and while it didn't overly appeal to me, it is sweet and will appeal to many.

This book features some beautiful illustrations that will immediately make the book attractive to readers of all ages.
The story is interestingly written from the view point of the family dog which I'm sure will appeal to young children and shows that new babies effect animals in the family as well as humans.
I love the message of the story and would find it very useful to have in a classroom with children from a variety of backgrounds.

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy Baby Girl has finally arrived and the wait is now over. Reagondoodle and Little Buddy can't wait to help out with her care and love her to bits because that's what they do best.

This sweet baby girl is in for a treat being chosen to come to this nurturing and accepting family. The story is told through the eyes of Reagondoodle and explains the adjustments that take place when a new baby arrives into the family unit.

The illustrations so enrich the text with their pale pastel colours and adorable characters. The book is based on the real Reagandoodle and Little Buddy which makes it even more heartwarming. The whole world smiles when a baby comes home! They bring a new spark of light into everyone's life as love grows when the family grows. I highly recommend this book.

Recommended for: families who are expecting a second baby or who are adopting or fostering a child

What a charming little book! There are so many things I love about it.

The Story ...
... is told from the point of view of the family's dog. It took me some getting used to but the idea is fresh and cute. Reagandoodle (the dog) and his person Little Buddy welcome a baby girl into the family.
Nowadays, so many books about new family members focus on the negative aspects (e.g. bay can't play, baby cries) and negative feelings (e.g. jealousy) around that. I love that Swiridoff does not leave this out but she has her protagonists focus on what the baby CAN do (e.g. smile and cuddle) and how they CAN interact with the baby (e.g. tickle her, love her, cuddle her). They also help mommy care for the new baby. This way, this book gives the parents and siblings some good ideas on how to welcome the new family addition and that this time of getting to know and getting used to each other can be enjoyable. I love the positive and loving attitude that we find in this story.

The Illustrations ...
... are so lovely. Very child appropriate with not too much going on in each picture so they are not overwhelming. At the same time, they are engaging with bright colors. They made me smile and made this an enjoyable read.

The Photos ...
... of the real life Reagendoodle and Little Buddy can be found at the end of the book. So cute!

The Message ...
... is that you are loved, no matter if you live with your birth parents or your adoptive or foster parents. Only at the end do we find out that Reagendoodle and Little Buddy were adopted and that Baby Girl is a foster child. I really, really like that the beginning of the book makes the family seem like a regular family. Later, we find out that they are different, but at the same time they are a normal family.
And I particularly love the end of this book where the reader (child) is addressed by Reagendoodle and Little Buddy, explaining that "God builds families in many different ways", and telling him or her that they are special and loved.
This books is great to talk to your own child about their adoption or foster care, or to raise awareness about adoption and fostering in general.

This is such a sweet children's book!

The story is about a young boy and his dog when their family is blessed with a new baby sister. It includes the many things that baby sister can do and also many things which she is still too young to do. It would be an especially great story for young children who will also be having a little sibling join their family. My almost five year old daughter thought it was really cute and started up her begging for a little sister again haha (she has two younger brothers). I loved how much they adored the baby girl throughout the story.

The one thing that could be improved upon were some grammatical errors which including a word in a sentence completely skipped and another where a letter is missing from a word . However, I'm sure that will hopefully be fixed in a revision. Otherwise, it is an adorable story that kids and parents alike will adore!

This was an interesting read. I liked the informative side of the story and thought it was a great way to explain how things will change for a sibling when a new baby enters the world. However there are some things that were a little misleading. At times baby girl is sat up and smiling which is very advanced for a two day old baby. It wasn't made clear how much time had passed whilst the story was being told. There was also the absence of dad and mum only appeared once.

That being said I loved the illustrations and the information about the family at the end is very touching.

I was smiling the entire time that I was reading this adorable children's book. What I like best here is how it was narrated by the Australian Labradoodle, Reagandoodle, so reading it was more entertaining. The illustrator, Wendy Durham, made lovely drawings of Little Buddy, Reagandoodle, and Baby Girl. Each page will charm readers because of its cute narrative with matching appealing illustrations.

Not only the joy of having a younger sibling was captured in this book but also it reminds us that one doesn't need to be blood-related to be called a family — love is what's important and that unites everyone even if you are not descended from the same kin. This book will not only teach young readers about this lesson but it will also educate them about adoption and what is foster care.

This book is truly special! It is so helpful for big siblings to see what life is like (and how to cope) with a new arrival in the house. From the perspective of a dog, the story is laid out of a dog, his boy and a new sister.
This book was especially appropriate for our family (I read this with my daughter) as we recently welcomed a baby boy into the household this year. There were lots of things discussed in this book that my girl could relate to, and I think that made her love the book all the more. She asked for more books about Reagandoodle (the dog).

This is a cute book about welcoming a baby into your family. The story is told from the point of view of the dog, which sounds odd, but actually is quite adorable. The dog and the little boy discuss what they can and can't do with the baby (she doesn't like loud noises or getting her diaper changed, but she loves kisses and tickles on her tummy).
The story does have Christian undertones, and is based on a real-life story (the pictures are at the end of the book, which is nice). The book also talks about different ways babies are added to the family (at the end, this is not part of the story), which is good for those that may be dealing with adoption. The book does not explicitly state that the children are adopted, but the pages at the end indicate that both the boy and the baby sister are foster children.
This touches on a lot of good themes for those with a new sibling entering the family.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to provide an honest review.

Initially, what drew me in to review this book were the description and cover.

COVER
I loved the cover. The pastel colours were pleasant and the illustration was cute. I felt there were good uses of fonts, text style and text size, which helped break up the long book title.

STORY

Overall, great storyline. It was simple and sweet. It had a good amount of different moments shared between Reagandoodle, Littlw Buddy and Baby Girl. I absolutely loved the sniffing kisses. It’s my favourite thing to do with babies, too!

POINTS TO NOTE
I found that on page 20 I could have done without the extra “Little Buddy and me”, once was enough. The illustration on page 23 was adorable. I loved the additional two pages at the end of the book with the true background story and real life photos of the main characters. I’m not going to lie, it brought a little tear to my eye to know that the characters were real. I felt the letter to the child reader was sweet. Such a beautiful quote to close out the book.

My 5 year old daughter helped me read the book to her little brother. She liked the mention of the “Jesus loves me “ song, she said “I sing that, too!” My 2 year old son loved how Reagandoodle and Little Buddy had the same shirt on. As well, he loved Reagandoodle or as he said, “Doggy!”

There were two errors that I found. On page 9 the was an extra like that should not be there before “at”, it should be “...not at all like my dog bones.” There was also a typo on page 26, the “i” is missing in the word “did”.

In conclusion, I liked “Reagandoodle and Little Buddy Welcome Baby”. This book has joined the ranks of Biblio-Superior.

Lovely little story about Buddy's new baby sister. Story of how Buddy and his dog helped look after and care for his baby sister and how important that was.

Loved the explanation of foster families at the end, this will help children understand and be more accepting. Amazingly written!

God chose you and your family to be together. He did that because he loves you.

When a new baby comes along, there are many changes. Big brother and his dog have awaited for the arrival of baby sister. Reagandoodle and Little Buddy share with other big brothers and sisters what it is like to have a baby sister. What baby sister likes and what she doesn't like. How love grows when the family grows.

Based on the real Reagan Doodle and Little Buddy as they welcomed baby sister home. Their fears but most important their delight in receiving love and giving love. This is on my list for any new big brothers and sisters as their role in the family is so important.

A Special Thank you to Harvest House Publishers and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.
