Melody is a easy character that you could picture yourself being like her. With Adam in the picture you also can see why the pulse quickens around him. With him also being a ex military he has the heart sealed. This one is easy to fall into with the characters giving you a good one to melt into. Like I mentioned you can easily feel the parts with it being something that could happen for sure. Not being to fond though of the brother story line since it gets used alot still enjoyed this story.

It's a cute best friend's little sister romance. Fast paced and sweet. Did it wow me? No. But it was an okay read.
I had a bit of trouble connecting with the characters. Adam and Melody just didn't have that magic I strive for from my literary couples.

This was my first book by this author and it definitely won't be the last. I need to read more of the Victory Vets!!

Mel has a birthday coming up and with Adam now home from his last tour overseas, she's ready to recruit him for her improvement project. Restyle herself and finally lose her V-card. With the guy who turned her down before he left 8 years ago.

I loved these two together. They balance each other so perfectly but they also push each other to be more than others think they are. I loved the other characters introduced in this story and I can't wait to see what comes next.

I had a hard time connecting with this book. It could be more me. It started really slow and kept getting stuck on the same things. There were glimmers of good times.

I voluntarily read an early copy.

How To Seduce A Bad Boy is the first in Traci Douglass new series called Victory Vets and is available starting today, January 14th. The premise of this series is a group of Army vets arriving home, starting new lives and finding love. Victory Vets also happens to be the name of the auto garage the vets started and/or work for. Never having read any of Ms Douglass previous work, I wasn't sure what to expect. Sure the title and description reeled me in but I had no idea what I was getting into. It's a nice story that hit a little too close to home for me.

Melody "Mel" Bryant is the only, she thinks, 24 year old virgin in Point Beacon, Indiana. She might be right. Mel may be stunning but...she's a librarian, dresses like Mrs. Cleaver in 1950, and owns a cat. First dates don't lead to second dates. She feels dependable, predictable, boring, and invisible. For those of us not popular, not head cheerleader types, this stings. Wondering why your friend, but not you, attracts men who buy drinks and want to dance. Oh yes, it stings. Mel decides that if she wants to be an un-virgin by her next birthday she needs an overhaul. Her BFF agrees, makes her a hair/makeup appointment and then flakes at the last minute. The plan must continue, cannot be derailed. There's only one thing to do, one person she wants to help her, her girlhood hearts desire.

Adam Foster is her brothers best friend. He was always around when they were kids and Mel's crushed on him forever. She tried to lose the v card to him 8 years ago but he said no and joined the Army. Way to feel special, not. She works up the nerve to ask Adam for help and manages to talk him into it. If he doesn't want her surely someone will. Adam does want Mel, always has, but she's James little sister. He can't ruin his friendship, can't screw up the business they started together. Mel is driving him crazy but he must resist as long as possible. That's about a week. Adam is sure disaster lies ahead but jumps in with both feet anyway.

Their story is sweet and relatable. A wallflower who doesn't know how attractive she really is, how to flirt and can't find out from a book. A bad boy with a bad reputation trying to live it down and forge a new, good life for himself. These two deserve a happily ever after and you'll want it for them too.

Thanks to Netgalley for providing an ARC. Receiving a free book ARC is a privilege and one I enjoy. Being able to share my opinion is a pleasure. Both are free and without obligation. Happy reading.

Yowza! Loved this Charming, Entertaining and Sexy Romance. I Love this trope and they never fail to make me swoon. This is the first Traci Douglass story that I have read and I can’t wait to read more, more, more.

Poor Melody she has always been the good girl, and dressing like an old June Cleaver hasn’t helped her situation. But every man in town, just doesn’t measured up to Mel’s crush, her big brother’s best friend Adam, the towns’ bad boy, who was too wild, too reckless, and too poor. But he left town eight years ago, after he turned her down. But after two tours of duty he is back and is in business with her brother running Victory Vets Body Shop and Repair.

Adam has always been attracted to Mel but she was always to good for him, besides her brother and his best friend, James, will kill him if he gets involved with her. So when Mel asks for his help to give her the male perspective with a make over he says no, but Mel just doesn’t give up until he gives in. And when Mel and her friend Lily pulls out all the stops, Adam can’t take his eyes off her. As Mel and Adam work on her flirtation skills and her conversation for dates, Adam starts to fall. But when she talks about ruining her reputation and getting rid of her v-card before her twenty-fifth birthday with another man, he only sees green with envy. And is not about to let that happen. Will these two finally realize they are great for each other? What will happen when her brother finds out what they are up to? You will need to read this witty, charming,, entertaining and sexy romance to find out! YUMMM.... Loved it!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

When I was looking on Netgalley and saw the cover of ‘How To Seduce A Bad Boy’ it definitely grabbed my attention right away. I mean don’t you just love that cover? I really did. So when I read the book description and read that this book was about a librarian, I just knew I had to read this one. So I was super excited when I got approved and received an ARC!

In ‘How To Seduce A Bad Boy’ we meet Melody Bryant. Melody is a librarian, dresses like an old lady and is a little quirky. And I loved her character! Not only because she was a librarian, but also because she was just so relatable and I liked her quirks. Melody feels like she needs to do something about her reputation so she calls in the help of her brother’s best friend Adam. Melody has had a crush on Adam for years, and I can totally get why. Adam is fun, sexy and kind and although he feels like he isn’t worth much I was totally rooting for his character.

The romance between Melody and Adam was definitely fun. I loved reading about them and I just didn’t want to put this book down until I finished it. The chemistry is definitely great between these characters and I loved getting to know them.
Adam was a great ‘bad’ boy. The whole army guy and motorcycle thing made him very interesting to read about. And I loved the fact we got to read this story from both his and Melody’s point of view.

I’ve been thinking long and hard about this rating. I loved this book and read it in a day. The characters where fun and relatable and I definitely hope there will be another book about Melody’s best friend and brother. But I was a little disappointed there were no hot and steamy scenes at all, which fitted this story and was definitely expected. And I felt like the ending of this book was a little rushed. So four stars it is! But still a very fun read!

**I received a copy of How to Seduce a Bad Boy from Entangled Publishing and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review** The opinions expressed are mine alone and not solicited in any way**

How to Seduce a Bad Boy by Traci Douglass was a refreshing read and I really loved it plus I can't wait to read Lily and James's story.

Melody Bryant is tired of being the Plain Jane librarian of Point Beacon plus with her 25th birthday fast approaching she wants to get a complete makeover. She knows just who can do it her brother best friend Adam Foster who she's had a crush on since she was 14 years old. But can she convince him?

Adam Foster is the bad boy who with his former Army team mates has built a respected business Victory Vets auto repair. When he hears Melody's proposal he knows that he'll have to figure out a way to decline because he knows the golden rule no dating the best friend's sister. It's a little line he doesn't want to cross but little does he know that he'll soon become more than just her coach to become glamorous.and gorgeous. Can he keep the men noticing her now when he has wanted her for years?

Did not finish at about 25%. The heroine annoyed the hell out of me. There was a line near the very beginning that was something like, "here she was at the ripe old age of 25..." 25 isn't old!! i think that one line just ruined it for me.

Melody/Mel barely had enough time to avoid getting her toes run over as her latest first date hurriedly pulled away from the curb. She had thought the evening was going well. Lilly was Mel’s best friend and Mel called her and let her know the date didn’t go well. She said Michael who had been her date and her and talked for awhile than he went into his hot librarian fantasies . Mel was a librarian and this wasn’t the first time she had heard about that. Than Lilly told her her clothing made her look like a ninety year old June Cleaver. Mel decided she needed direction, a plan to lose her virginity before her twenty fifth birthday in five weeks. James was Mel’s older brother and he was friends with Adam and asked Adam to watch over his family until he came back from his tour of duty. Mel’s family had been there for Adam She only had one guy in mind-Adam. A tall order but not impossible. Adam was back home after two tours of duty in the Army. She had yet to speak one word to the guy since he return. Adam was a gorgeous bad boy. She then told Lilly she had to go. Melody decided she needed a plan and it involved Adam. Adam thought how overall things were going well since he returned to Pointe Beacon-home. Business was booming at Victory bets Body Shop And Repair. As he headed home Mel was waving her hands at him to stop Eight years ago they had been alone on the back porch of her parents house and she had told Adam she loved him and wanted to give herself to him completely. Adam had been totally blind sided. They had both been so young but he’d never forgot her words. Now he stopped to see what she wanted and Melody said she needed him to ruin her reputation. Than Mel said she needed a makeover. Everything from clothes to hair to makeup. But especially the social aspect. A coach who’s in the dating trenches and knows their way around to show her what she was doing wrong. To teach her to do things right. Mel needed someone she could trust and won’t joke about it to people behind her back. Someone who could keep a secret. Relationships were off the table with Adam. Guys like him didn’t fall in love. He ended up telling Mel no he couldn’t help her. But Lilly stepped in and Mel decided to go ahead and do the makeover. Adam came back to tel Mel he would help her as he was afraid what would happen of melody went to someone else for help.
I enjoyed this book a lot. It was a fun easy read just predictable but in this case that was alright it didn’t bother me. Adam and Melody had a hot chemistry between them. I do feel this could have been longer. I also felt this was well written. I loved the development of Melody and Adam. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend it.

This sweet romance was cute and fun to read. Melody Bryant is the town good girl and she's sick of it. Sure she may be a librarian and likes her world orderly and neat but that doesn't mean she doesn't want to have a little fun.
Being a twenty four year old virgin with no prospects in sight has her coming up with a crazy plan. Adam Foster may be her best friends brother but he's still the only guy who has ever tempted her. After turning down her advances in the past he owes her so who better than Adam to teach her everything she needs to know about seducing a man? Let the fun times begin!

I highly recommend this one.

Melody is a successful woman being the librarian but she finds herself in a rut. She is 24 and still a virgin and she desperately wants to change this status by her next birthday in a few short weeks. Her ideal candidate is Adam, her brother’s best friend. Her friend Lilly helps her realize that she needs a makeover. Even though Melody loves how she dresses, it doesn’t inspire a great romance with her more conservative look. Now, I love that Melody approaches Adam and asks for his help. Adam has always noticed Melody but since she is his best friend’s brother, he would never date her. When she asks him for help to lose her virginity, well, it is pretty priceless and puts him on alert. The thought of someone else being with Melody doesn’t sit right with him. I love the natural connection these two share, especially as Adam takes her for her makeover and shopping. There are many sweet moments between these two and Melody finds a new part of herself as she embraces the changes. Now, will Adam be willing to break the ‘code’ and admit how he really feels for Melody? I had fun with this couple and enjoyed their sexy flirtation. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

I got to 25% and didn't want to continue. Mel and the plot felt too juvenile for my tastes. The story just isn't for me.

Thank you for sharing the book.

HOW TO SEDUCE A BAD BOY is the story of Melody Bryant and Adam Foster.
Melody is the town librarian who is of course bookish but she still has her innocents that she would like to shed. But the only one that has ever gotten her to feel something to move forward in that directions is her brother's best friend. But when she approaches him he doesn't want to cross that line with her brother friendship. But when he sees that she is changing her looks and looking for that change to her innocents he can't stop feel that she is his.
I really enjoyed their story and the good girl turning the 'bad boy' to no longer ignore his feelings.
I hope to read more from this author!

How to Seduce a Bad Boy is a cute, fast read that ends with an HEA but leaves a less than satisfied reader. The story revolves around Adam rejecting Melody because she is his best friend's younger sister and his upbringing makes him feel undeserving of love and incapable of feeling it. Melody, for whatever reason, has no confidence and is incapable of getting past the first date with a guy. She devises a plan to make Adam help her remake herself and learn how to attract a man, but all the while plans to seduce him herself (all the while knowing he "doesn't do love")

It sounds like the beginnings of a fun, sweet romance but I felt like there was an emotional depth that was missing. It was very repetitive and made the characters seem fixated on their issues like it was the end of the world. I didn't feel as though I could connect with the characters because everything that happened in their lives circled back to that fact that they wanted to be together, but didn't feel like it was possible for their own reasons. And their reasons ranged between superficial and unbelievable. I didn't get the sense that they truly grew over the course of the novel, yet somehow it all works out for them.

Melody has always been in love with her brother's best friend. When he finally comes home, she has the chance to set her plan in motion. She is determined to have her chance with him.

Adam has seen too much to believe in happily ever after. He also has a healthy fear of what his best friend will do to him if he touches his sister. Denying his feelings for her at this point would be foolish, however.

Such a cute story with a lot of heat. I found the couple just charming. Reading about their story was easy. Each page turned faster than I remembered and before I knew it - I was done.

What a fun romantic witty read from a new author to me, this is my first Traci Douglas book and it won’t be my last I really enjoyed How to Seduce a Bad Boy.
Melody Bryant is the local librarian she goes to work in twin sets and pearls and she spends her evenings alone. Her 25th birthday is fast approaching and she needs a make over and her v card gone so she turns to the only bad boy she know her older brother best buddy and business partner.
Adam is back in town after serving in Afghanistan and he is now running is own business while waiting for Melody ‘s brother to return from his service overseas. When he is approached by Melody he turns her down flat he won’t risk the friendship of her family as they have become the only family he knows and he certainly won’t risk hs business. Problem is Melody won’t take no for an answer and if Adam won’t help there is bound to be a man who will........
An entertaining fun read with the added bonus of falling for your best friends sister and a hint of second chance love. Characters you will fall in love with and a story that will keep you intrigued to the very last line. Looking forward to more from this very talented author.

3.5⭐

How to Seduce a Bad Boy was a quick, easy to read, sweet story. That although a little predictable did draw me in and keep me engaged throughout. Not to mention, the characters were likable, particularly Adam. Who although not really a bad boy was charming and clearly felt something for the quirky, if a little annoying Melody. And I did enjoy the romance that developed between them, and I'm sure others will too.

This book is sweet, savvy and seductive. It was a great read! Thank you for allowing me the pleasure of reading an Advanced Reader Copy of it.
Mel has always had a crush on Adam her brothers older friend who always treated her like the kid sister he didn’t have. Will she finally get her chance to explore her crush and maybe fall in love?
Adam doesn’t think he is good enough for Mel, he grew up thinking “he wasn’t good enough”. He is also her brothers best friend and business partner. Is Adam up to Mel’s challenge???
