It took me a while to get into the book, but it was a cute romance read. Even though you hear from both perspectives, I feel like I didn’t get to know Adam as weel as I got to know Mel. I enjoyed her journey of finding confidence and going after what she wanted. Also, all the hints dropped about her best friend, Lily, and her brother, James, made me want to know their history as well (I’m assuming their story will be the next book). Overall, this was a very plot driven story, and I would have like to get a little more back story on both characters, their families, and their friends.

This was a disappointing read with lots of predictable behavior and unreliable characters. First of all I was embarrassed for the heroine. She practically threw herself at the hero with little concern of her self worth. She expects the hero to make her desirable by helping her change her physical appearance and teach her to love herself. How can a guy possibly do this? He's a dude!! But with a few change of clothes and a new hairdo all of a sudden she's drop dead gorgeous and he can't get enough of her. So unrealistic and out of character since he spends half the novel saying she's like a sister to him and does his best to avoid her.

An enjoyable story in the brother's best friend trope. The interactions were well done and there was a nice sprinkling of humour in the story. Overall, a good story. *I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Melody is determined to ditch her good girl image. She wants to attract the attention of her brothers bad boy best friend. How to Seduce a Bad Boy is charming and sexy. There's nothing new or groundbreaking about this story but its tons of fun! The characters are likable and charming. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Adam and Melody. I think my only problem is this story was quite short!

A fast paced story of nerdy librarian Melody and her brother's best friend Adam. He came from the wrong side of town, and rides a bike, and she has had a crush on him for a long time. Enjoyed this one a lot, and at times hard to put down. The only thing that got a little tiresome was his obsession that he wasn't good enough for her. For a strong and confident man, it got a little whiny at times. Other than that though, I really liked this one and the characters, and hope there is another book in the works with her brother Lilly and her brother James. Good build up, so hope a story is coming soon. Highly recommend this book and author.

Firstly, thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for letting me read this. I actually enjoyed this story and found it difficult to put down. It's a lighthearted romance, told in third person narration with a lot of inner dialogue throughout. The characters are likeable and easy to relate to, and there doesn't seem to be any unnecessary drama thrown in.
Melody has known and been crushing on Adam for most of her life and finally finds an opportunity to get him alone without her big brother. He has no idea what's coming. Of course it ends predictably and happily, but that's why we read these books :)

But like a magnet to metal they can’t help but be attracted to each other. The story is funny and the characters are well developed. The series has wonderful potential with many characters with great stories to tell. It is fast paced and keeps the reader interested. Mel and Adam get the outcome they were seeking and are looking forward to marriage and babies.

A story about a librarian trying to seduce her brother's best friend, this book sounded like exactly like what I needed but the story was predictable and the writing flat. It was a struggle to finish this one.

HOW TO SEDUCE A BAD BOY is a gripping read. The whole will they, won't they had me on the edge of my seat. Author Traci Douglass certainly knows how to ensnare her readers. She had me instantly with the plotline. Who doesn't love a good novel about a girl who falls for her brother's best friend. The fact that the story centered around a group of Army vets was only a plus. Melody and Adam were a beautiful couple who really cared for one another. It was great to see their relationship flourish and thrive. I'm very much hoping the next book will be Lilly and James's story. Or Hollywood and Jag's. I give HOW TO SEDUCE A BAD BOY a solid 3.5 star rating. It would have been a 4, but the romance scenes are a little closer to YA than adult.

This is the first book by this author I have read, and I must say, I loved it.
Melody Bryant is approaching her 25th birthday. She’s a librarian, only has disastrous first dates, and dresses like an older woman. But now she has decided it’s time to make changes.
Adam Foster is the town’s bad boy, now a hometown hero after returning from Afghanistan where he served with James, Melody’s brother, and is also his business partner.
Melody and Adam have known each other since they were kids and she’s been crushing on him forever. So when she decides she needs lessons on how to get a man , she chooses Adam as her teacher.
Needless to say, that’s when things get and complicated.
The plot was engaging from the start, and the characters well developed. The story was at times heartbreaking but also heartwarming. Especially when we learn about Adam’s childhood and his belief of not being good enough and unlovable.
Will they find their HEA or will the past and loyalties to her family hinder that happiness?
I am looking forward to what else the author has in store for us. Hoping that James and Lily get their story.

This was a really fun read!

Melody has always had a thing for her brother's friend Adam, so who better to help her learn more about dating? Adam, on the other hand, is sure that getting involved with Melody is a bad idea.

Their back and forth was fun to read, especially as they start to grow closer. Adam's hesitation to get more involved with Melody was understandable, but I couldn't wait to see how they would get through it.

I loved the introduction of Victory Vets, the car body shop that Adam has opened with Melody's brother, and all of the veterans that work there. I am looking forward to reading their books!

I really REALLY wanted to like this but unfortunately the story felt flat. I felt no connection to the content nor characters, that it felt almost like an obligation to finish the novel.

As the temperature drops, this is the perfect story to keep your warm! It's easy to put yourself into the protagonist's shoes and wonder how she's going to figure out if she's going to be brave enough to actually take the steps needed to make herself happy or if she's going to fall back into her default mode of playing it safe. You'll find yourself cheering along for her and hoping she follows her heart!

Adam's wooing skills are pretty much non-existent, “you, uh, look different tonight,” Adam said, watching her." Adam is just romantic, “I can think of lots of other things to keep you awake in the afternoon. I bet there’s all sorts of hidden alcoves in that library, perfect for a sexy rendezvous.” I liked this book, I loved Adam.

I really enjoyed this book. The writing was superb and kept me not only interested the entire time but engrossed.

Melody is not a naive virgin, just a girl who fell for a guy years ago and finds no one else that measures up to share herself with. Adam is the playboy heartbreaker but finds Melody as intriguing now as she was years ago. Asked to help Melody with a makeover, Adam reluctantly agreed. But Adam cannot stand for Melody to get, want or desire anyone attention but his. Problem is, her brother is guys best friend and her family is his only one. He can't risk losing all that!

Great story that I highly recommend!

Today I’m reviewing How to Seduce a Bad Boy by Traci Douglass, which is a new to me author, but on a plot that I have read time and again, and one that I will continue to read, as I think its every book nerds fantasy.

what plot could this be? but of course a Librarian falls in love with her long-term crush and who just happens to be the town bad boy, and she mounts a campaign to get him to fall in love with her too! But unlike other books, Traci Douglass has added her own spin on it, by being the brothers best friend.

Melody Bryant, our leading character is fed up of being single! but there is only one man she wanted! and the one that turned her down before 8 years before, Adam Foster! the man she blamed for making her head towards her crazy cat lady years!

How to Seduce a Bad Boy is a good book and one that in parts will have you laughing or crying, it’s predictable but sweet and it’s definitely a book I would read again.
