*I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Disclaimer: Do NOT read this unless you’ve read the first book. This is NOT a stand alone.

I didn’t think it would have been possible, but I liked this just as much, if not more, than the first book. Although, what did I except after falling in love with each and every one of these characters.

This book picks up where the first left off. But where the first book was all about keeping secrets, this one is all about revealing them and dealing with what ever fall out comes from them.

I’ve cried at least 4 times while reading this book alone, putting my ugly cry count at around 10 for the overall Duet. I’ve have not only discussed this book with my husband, but pretty much anyone who has asked me what I’m reading. I just can’t speak enough about this. Why? Because it’s literally a perfect Duet. And since I can’t mention anything about this book because it would either completely spoil it for you or ruin your opinion, here is how I felt while reading this.

OMG. What?! Asshat. Wait, don’t. Awe. You guys! Hey! Um...what?! Gurl, no you didn’t. Ew. Awe. Yay!!!! OMG. 😭😭😭

You’re welcome 😉

Long Live the Beautiful Hearts Is the conclusion of the duet ‘Beautiful Hearts’ by Emma Scott. To understand this it is recommended that you start their story right from the beginning- you definitely will feel lost if you don't read the first book.
It is hard to write this review without giving spoilers, but I have to say that this duet is maybe the most powerful work of Emma Scott.

5+ Beautiful Heart Stars

I was lucky enough to be able to read Long Live the Beautiful Hearts straight after finishing the first book, Bring Down the Stars. The impact of reading them back-to-back was immense. Once again Emma has written the conclusion to this epic love story so beautifully and full of emotional feels.

My heart was sore and sad with the hardships that Weston, Connor and Autumn had to face and deal with. Love and friendship will be tested and truths will be revealed.

The Beautiful Hearts Duet was an emotional reading experience and I highly recommend this duet as well as all and anything Emma Scott puts into writing.

Many thanks to the author and NetGalley for my copy to read and review.

Just when I thought the first one was AMAZING this one broke me down and held my heart until I had no more blood flow! AMAZING!

Oh my god. I just fell even more in love with these characters. They just took all of my heart and claimed it as theirs. I’m so in awe of this book right now...just wow.

I’ve been waiting a while to read this and FINALLY managed to get around to it and god, I wasn’t ready. I just wasn’t ready at all! This book packs a punch, a punch that’ll gut you but just as quickly fixes you.

Long Live The Beautiful Hearts is book 2 in the series and MUST be read in order!

I’m not going to go into the storyline as I don’t want to give a thing away but you should just know it’s incredible. This story is incredible.

I want to be completely honest right now, this series is hands down Emma’s best work yet. It’s raw, emotional and heartbreaking and REAL!

The thing I love most about this woman and her writing is that she ALWAYS manages to capture your attention and make everything else around you disappear. Her words suck you in to a whole new world that holds her characters in and you’re left in that world long after finishing the books.

This series is most definitely one of my absolute favourite series ever. I loved how it grips you from the first book right through to the second book and doesn’t let go. Your heart and soul is 100% Weston, Connor and Autumn and you’ll love every second of this series.

This is the 2nd book in the duet. You MUST read the first book.
Wow I haven't read such an emotional book in a long time. I loved it.
Thanks for the Arc

This second half of Weston, Connor and Autmn's story is hear trending, beautiful, and redemptive. Emma Scott takes us through a beautifully written emotional journey and leaves us gutted and filled with hope and even happiness. So many YA novels tend to read like narcissistic navel-gazing, but Long Live the Beautiful Hearts and its precursor, Bring Down the Stars, guide us through introspection, growth, and acceptance. I really loved and respected each of the characters, and Emma Scott handled each of them with such tender care and respect, I am thankful for the beautiful mind that penned such a beautiful novel full of pain, joy, hope, and awakening.

After reading the first book i was captivated by the characters and the writing of from the author. Then when I read the blurb I felt like something bad was going to happen. So after getting into the book again I went straight back into the beautiful hearts storyline and I wasn't disappointed at all. It gave me smiles, tears and laughter and I think thats what all books should make a reader fell when reading there novel.

I requested this book from net gallery as I requested the first one. So once the second book had finished i dived straight into the next. There are 4 four main character:

Weston Turner – The character in which starts the book, turns out to be a very likeable character. Comes from a bad background but wants to work hard for a good career.
Connor Drake – Weston’s best friend whom he helped weston out in school and became inseparable ever since then.
Autumn – Bumps into Weston in the library and becomes an item with Connor.
Ruby – Autumns best friend and helps her out through her hard times in life.

There are points in the story when you feel really bad for Weston, I am not going to lie I did shed a few tears as it is such a challenging thing to go through. But when Autumn and Weston became friends it lifted your heart straight off the ground and the story started to pull you under the friendship and romantic aspect of the storyline. I would 100% recommend this book but you have to read the first book in the series to get a grasp of the story line and the characters that are in the first book so it will just flow. Please pick this book up its not something to over look, such brilliant writing and brilliant storyline.

This story is absolutely fantastic!
This second book makes you think how your life can change in just a few days. But you can't give up. You have to keep on going and learn to live with yourself again. And adapt your life to your new circumstances.
I don't want to say much because I don't want to spoil this wonderful book for the rest of the readers.
I loved the characters, especially Wes. Although I hated some of them in some moments, But at the end, I just cried like a baby ad forgave them. Just like Autumn would have done.

A book hadn't made me so emotional in a very long time. And that's saying a lot as I read Kingdom of Ash just last month. Wow. Just wow.

I find it a lot harder to talk about this book compared to the first in the duology. Lets just say it left its mark. A deep one. It was such a beautiful, gut-wrenching, and unforgettable read.

The poems in this book deserve their own separate book. They left me wanting more. They left me wanting my own Weston even though he was a moody asshole most of the time.

This review doesn't do this book justice as I'm still lost for words after finishing it this morning. All I can say is, read it. I'm so glad I'm finding out about books I never might have known about thanks to NetGalley.

The second book in Emma Scott's Beautiful Heart's series delivered everything the first book promised. Weston Turner has to overcome so many obstacles, both physical and mental, in order to find happiness again. He has lost so much, and, for a while, he is battling his demons without the support of Autumn and Connor. He pushes Autumn away (but finds he can't stay away from her for long, despite his feelings of guilt) and the Bromance between Connor and Weston is sorely tested. I remember reading, at a very critical point, the words "finally" in the first book of this series, and I actually cheered (although a bit too prematurely!!) But this second book took the story to a beautiful, bittersweet conclusion. I highly recommend this series! My thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance copy of these two books in exchange for an honest review.

I received an arc via netgalley, it in no way shapes this review.

Sooo let’s start off with I loved the first one. It was a roller coaster and lusty. The characters development and how they linked to one another was flawless.
Then I began this one with a break between the two and I don’t know if it was the break or just how this one trickled by and I felt detached. Each of our leading characters had cracks and broken pieces that seemed so excessive. The point was driven on how much the boys were broken over seas and I get that but none of it linked that it would become a happy ever after. The broody moody was high and mighty and took enter stage for most of the story which could’ve added to my “this is going to be a long one” but I kept pushing hoping it would give me more like it did from the first book. Sadly it fell massively short. I’m glad loose ends were tied, characters got that happiness, and all that Jazz.... but it just wasn’t my favorite.

3 1/2 stars.

I found a new favorite author. Emma Scott where have you been all my life!!!
This duet is so important, and mainly for the way it was written. I have never in my life felt so close to a fictional character. Weston J. Turner, I will always think of you! <3

Give these books a chance!!!!!!!!!!!!

I reviewed the series in whole:
Emma Scott is on my short list of all-time favorite authors. I read this series in two days. I could not put my iPad down! What I found utterly unique about this author's style of writing was her way of weaving the experiences and thoughts of the characters together. The story bounced beautifully to Connor, Weston, and Autumn. The story left nothing unsaid or unknown to the reader and I was blown away each chapter. The second, most absolutely fantastic part about this series are the key messages and takeaways about love, disability, and trust. I have never read such an incredible story about disability until I read the second book in this series. I was rooting for Weston the entire time. His character, life, hardship... just wow. The ending is as exactly as it should have been for these characters. Nothing felt cliche or predictable; simply "magnificent". Get your box of tissues out. I was sobbing through several parts of the second book. I already stocked up on a few more books from Scott for the holiday season.

***5 "This is where I'm supposed to be!!!" stars***

How can I touch you
With these dirty hands
Lined with grime and guilt
Pushing my broken body?
Through life that doesn’t feel so broken
Hour by hour
Minute by minute
The scaffolding around me
falling away...

I am born for the second time
Emerging from the darkest night
Into the light where you are
Waiting
If only I could see you with these eyes
And speak the truth with this breath
And touch you with something more
real and good than these
dirty hands.

Yep, Emma Scott did it again!!!! And she will keep doing it again and again, i think!!!!
Another one soul capturing duet from her pen, another one heartbreakingly love story that will stay with me forever!!!!
This was the perfect finale for our heroes after all those ugly things that they had to face...
For once again, love show us her beautiful face when ugly things were happening around her!!!
And yep, the conclusion in here was EPIC!!!

"THERE IS NOTHING THAT LOVE CAN'T FORGIVE."

I won't say much about the plot, since it's the second part in this wonderful story and i hate doing spoilers!!!
Funny thing is that when i started this duet, i got comfused and accidentally i started book number two and at some point i realized that something was seriously wrong since i was feeling that i was missing important things!!!! But thank God, even though i "stole" in a way, it didn't ruin the story for me!!!!

"She's in love with my soul," Connor said. "And my soul is you..."

Well, in here, we witness the greatness and the beauty of the hearts!!! Weston's, Autumn's and of course, Connor's, even though the last one made me really angry in the better half of this book!!!
I understood his pain, but he took the cowardish way and i hated it!!!!
Thank God that he got the "help" that he was actually needed the most and he pulled out his head from his a$$!!!
In this point, it will be great to add that this friendship between the boys was... unique and magnificent!!!

“Stay with him. And keep holding his hand, Autumn. No matter what happens. Don’t let go of him.” {Connor}

Also, in this installment, we realized also how beautiful was Autumn's heart!!! Because in Weston's ugliest moments, she stayed behind him and she was strong for both of them...
As for Weston's beautiful heart??? He truly lost himself, but he was a fighter and he managed with Autumn's help to put the lost pieces of his self back, even though not in their fully normal place.
Those two were so perfect for each other and i curse the universe for the lost time!!!!
Oops!!! I think that i already said too much, so I'm stopping now!!!

“Do you remember the last time we spoke?” Professor O said. “I observed you were a runner, a poet, and a warrior.”
“I’m none of those now,” I said. “I can’t run, I can’t write, and I got nothing to fight for.”
To my astonishment, tears filled the man’s eyes.
“My God, Wes,” he said, his voice cracked. “Nothing to fight for? Fight for you. For who you are. At long last, fight for yourself and what you love. Who you love.”

"For the first time in my life, I know who I am and what I want, and it's a greater joy than I thought possible. It's real, this feeling. I love him.
And I love this love because it's ours." {Autumn}

If you have read Emma Scott's other works, you should read this duet too!!!
If you haven't ever read something of hers, you don't know what you're missing, so get started immediately!!!!

Long live the beautiful hearts
Like yours
That beat with infinite depth
Canyons of forgiveness
Cathedrals of beauty and love
Their doors wide open
A haven to weary runners
Whose race has ended.

Long live the twice born hearts
Like mine.
It beats only for you
My love
Unending and infinite,
I will take you with me
Into the next life
And a thousand beyond that
Always.
Forever.

"Long Live the Beautiful Hearts" is the second installment in the "Beautiful Hearts" duet. It has to be read following the first installment, "Bring Down the Stars".

If you like romantic, emotional reads, then this is definitely the book for you.

*Spoilers ahead if you have not read Book 1*

The story begins right where Book 1 ends, which left us with quite the cliffhanger; both Connor and Weston are severely injured in combat in Syria. Meanwhile, Autumn is back at her hometown, struggling with conflicted emotions towards them both.

Rating: 3.5

I couldn't help but compare this series with Emma Scott's recently published novel In Harmony, which I personally enjoyed more, and definitely recommend.

*I received this ARC from the publisher in return for an honest review.

Be still my heart. When true love prevails all else dims in comparison. This boom was truly a emotional rollercoaster. But so worth it. Again Emma did not disappoint. I can’t wait to read Ruby & Conners story.. I love how Wes took his new found disability and made it work for him. Autumn finally got the love she has been searching for in the wrong men. And Ruby well we shall see in the next book.

I don't think I can adequately express how much this series meant to me. Long Live the Beautiful Hearts is the second book in the Beautiful Hearts series, Bring Down the Stars is book #1. I highly recommend reading book #1 first before ever attempting to read this book. You need to get the full effect of ALL of the emotions in both books.

There aren't a lot of books I say this about but holy cow, this book was perfect. It was so full of thought provoking thoughts and so MANY feelings. The angst. The love. The relationships. The friendships. JUST SO MUCH. In the best way. This series is amazing. The relationship and friendships that have been created in book #1 and this book just flew off the pages. They were so organic and real. Emma Scott certainly has a way with words and pulling the heart strings.

I found myself crying so many times. I won't lie - there is unrequited love and broken trust in this book. However, there are some great life lessons interwoven with these story lines. Long Live the Beautiful Hearts finishes up the love triangle between Autumn, Weston, and Conner <-- this is why you need to read book #1. Also, without giving away too much, this series also covers topics as broad as veterans and PTSD which was informative to read about.

I honestly can't say enough good things about this book and this series. I'm in love with Emma Scott's writing!

Speechless. This book hooked me from the first page and I felt every feeling to the depths of my soul. Every word was perfection!
I loved every character and their family dynamics. I loved watching these characters grow and fall in/out of love. Weston,Connor, and Autumn were perfect characters and i loved the bromance between Connor and Weston. I finished this book with tears in my eyes and my heart full. Major book hangover with this duet!😍
5+ stars for sure!!
