ARC Review – Entangled (The Accidental Billionaires Book #2)

I absolutely loved Entangled. It is a beautiful second chance love story. Entangled is book two of The Accidental Billionaires. It is Aiden and Skye’s story. I will try to write my review without any spoilers. You get a first look into the characters of Aiden and Skye in Ensnared, the first book in The Accidental Billionaire series. You will see the anger and hatred between the two of them. The beginning of Entangled gives you a look at how their story begins. Aiden and Skye have a brief, but intense summer romance. Aiden leaves to go work a fishing job for two months. Skye promises to wait for him. At this point there is now a serious miscommunication that happens, leaving Skye to up and leave. Aiden’s not sure what the hell happened. Que in the anger and hurt that each one has for the other. Aiden and Skye’s story will have you experiencing so many emotions. You will feel so much anger and sadness when you discover what has happened to Skye. You will be frustrated by the continued miscommunication. There will be secrets revealed. Even with everything that has happened, with all the hurt they feel, the love that Aiden and Skye have for each another has remained strong. I have read every one of J.S. Scott’s books. Simon was my first book love, but I have to say Aiden almost edged Simon out. J.S. Scott has such a way with character development. By the end of chapter one you know who all the characters are and their places in the story. Each love story is so beautifully written. Oh yes, and the sex scenes are so HOT! Entangled is a must read! You will not be disappointed at all. I cannot wait for Seth’s story. I am so honored that I was able to be a part of the ARC team. I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is the second book in the billionaire series by JS Scott and it did not disappoint.
I really enjoyed this story and the continuation of the Sinclair siblings.. Adrian, shared a summer of love with his sister’s best friend. They both came from very poor family’s and had to do what they could for money. This meant Aidan taking a summer job on a fishing boat, leaving Skye in the hands of her unstable mother. Little did Adain know Skye was about to be married off to a much older man. Aidan’s older brother Seth , stepped in and did what he thought was best for Aidan, not knowing the terror that would be Skye’s future.
This back story set the stage for the an epic show down between a seriously angry Skye. Forced to have to sit next to Aidan at Jades\’s wedding .Tempers boil over and Skye finally lets her fury out on Aidan.
This was easy to follow, which is surprising because there are a lot of players in this story. All the siblings are present and you can see where the set up is for the next story.. I am ready to read more in this series, because it keeps me invested in the characters. I am however, a little tired of the repetitive conversations about money . More on point , how the Sinclair family came into their new found fortune. It is mentioned often and is very unnecessary, I mean I picked up on it the first time it was mentioned. It did not need to be constantly repeated.

I am coming back for the remaining books because I do really enjoy the stories.

Entangled is the second book in The Accidental Billionaires. This branch of the Sinclair family inherited money from the East coast Sinclair family when they discovered their father was the same man - to both families. The twin girls are both happily matched and married, or getting married. The boys still need to find the women that are their match. This book can be read as a standalone book, though it has characters from both the first book and the last Sinclair series in it.

Aiden and Skye fell in love as young adults one summer. Skye is best friends with Aiden's sister, Jade. They had a brief but intense love affair from Skye's first time to the night before Aiden had to leave for work for eight weeks as a commercial fisherman. After he left, and could not be contacted, Skye found out she was pregnant. Skye left a letter with Aiden's brother in his room for when he got home. Skye's mother forced her into an arranged marriage and she left town. Due to miscommunication, they were both heartbroken but thought the other was not as invested in their relationship.

Nine years later, Skye and her daughter, Maya, are back in town. Skye's Mom passed and she inherited a run down diner she is trying to support them with. Skye is divorced and her ex is in jail for life with mob affiliations. Skye has managed to mostly avoid Aiden, but Jade's wedding is making that impossible. When they finally have their confrontation, and many truths come to light, they have to share Maya. But can they have their second chance as well?

Aiden and Skye spent one Summer in a fling. They had known each other forever because Skye was best friends with his sister since very young. That Summer had consequences beyond both of them falling in love.

When Aiden left for two months to earn money on a fishing boat, Skye was left to deal with her pregnancy. Being eighteen and pregnant, she was confused and scared of what her future would be. Aiden never told her he loved her. How would she survive? Being forced into marriage with a man of suspicious entanglements was not what Skye wanted. Nevertheless, she did as her mother told her. No one could have prepared her for the hell she would face. Now, years later, she and Aiden are reunited. Prepare yourself for a story that will make you feel all the emotions!

Not to be missed! This is more than a second chance romance.

I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the publisher for sharing a copy with me.

"Entangled" is the second book in The Accidental Billionaires series and once I started reading it I could not put it down. Aiden Sinclair has more money than he knows what to do with, but he misses the simple times, doing the job he loved as a commercial fisherman and hanging out with his girl, Skye Weston. Speaking of Skye, he cannot understand why she went off and married someone else while he was out at sea, and to top that off she acts like he is the one who did something wrong, wow.
That's how this book starts off, two young lovers separated at a young age with no explanation, meeting again after nine long years only to find the white hot chemistry still burns between them, even though they both have reasons why it shouldn't.
I love a second chance at love romance but this will not be easy, between secrets and a little well meaning help from others, these two have a lot to unwind and get to the truth. Can they eventually find their happy ever after or has that ship already sailed? I highly recommend this one, it it loaded with romance, passion, family and a few surprises along the way!!

Entangled is a second chance romance with a twist. It starts with a GIANT misunderstanding that led to years of heartbreak. It didn't take long once Aiden and Skye talked to get right back to the intense feelings they had way back then. But Skye has some issues to work through, and Aiden is kinda stubborn and pushy. The whole family is open and caring and involved in one another's lives, which is cool. It's book two in a series, but read fine as a stand alone to me, I wasn't lost.

J.S. Scott is one of my go to authors...I haven’t found a book of hers that I haven’t liked thus far. This book was no different, it was pretty fast paced and I found myself reading it in every spare moment I had, and I devoured it in those spare moments.
There wasn’t much angst or drama in this one, though there was an opening for loads of drama. With Skye’s past and ex-husband there was an opening for so much drama here and loads of fear, but I was pretty thankful while reading that the author took a different approach.

This was a pretty straight forward story of second chances and unknown children. The characters had their bumps in the road, mainly because Skye was extremely untrusting of anybody since what happened in her past. Aiden broke through all her barriers and got much more than he was anticipating at first.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and look forward to more titles not only in this series but any future works by this author.

Arc, for an honest review.

Aiden and Skye's story was sad in the beginning with complete miscommunication. But they shared a beautiful gift. Fast forward 9 years. She is divorced from a man that gave her 8 years of hell and abuse. And shes been back to her old town for a year and was able to avoid Aiden, until Jade's up coming marriage.
They both rebuilt their trust towards each other.
It was beautiful.
I absolutely love this series. I can't wait for the next one.

I have read all the Billionaire books from J. S. Scott and find them entertaining and easy to read. The formula is pretty much the same in all of them, the strong alpha billionaire meets a woman who needs his help.

This book was a little different as it featured Aiden and Skye who knew each other long before Aiden became a billionaire. In fact both of them were struggling, Aiden having to help his two older brothers to keep their family together and Skye working in her mother's diner for little or no pay. Aiden had to leave town to make some money. Skye finding herself pregnant and with Aiden not returning, had no choice but to marry a man that he mother chose for her.

Ten years later, they meet again at a dinner to celebrate the upcoming wedding of Aiden's sister and Skye's best friend Jade and the attraction still sparks between them.

This story is one of misunderstandings and hurt between two people who loved each other. Skye has been hiding a big secret from Aiden and he is angry when he finds out he has a daughter. Both of them really struggle to unravel the wrongs of the past and decide if they want a future together. In the middle is Maya their daughter who is very smart and savvy and is thrilled to find she has a father making both of her parents want to do their best for her, but can they overcome the obstacles between them.

A really enjoyable read.

Great!

Aiden and Skye have an emotionally charged second chance love story and Maya is awesome!

I voluntarily read an advanced copy.

I was in the mood for some lovely clichés and a good amount of romance - and Entangled delivered just that.

The story
Aiden Sinclair was a commercial fisherman before he suddenly came into his billionaire inheritance—not that he’s complaining. Being a Sinclair does have its perks. But things were simpler before the money. He may have been dirt poor, but he loved his job and fully intended to always come back from the sea to his girlfriend, Skye Weston, so they could move toward something more permanent. Or at least that had been the plan . . . until he returned from a two-month fishing trip to discover that she had moved away and was marrying somebody else. It tore his world apart.

Now Skye’s back in town after nearly a decade. She’s a single mother and just as beautiful as ever. However, for some odd reason, she appears to hate him, when it should be Aiden who wants nothing to do with the woman who dumped him. Unfortunately, more than nine years of separation has done nothing to put a damper on their white-hot chemistry when they’re together. But even if those feelings are real, Skye has been keeping secrets. The truth of the past is about to come to light, and there is so much more at stake than just Aiden’s heart.

The opinion
First of all, this book was described as steamy - it is. If explicit, smutty scenes aren't your thing? This book probably isn't the thing for you. However - it's more than just smut. Which is important to me. There's an actual story to support the lovemaking, and it's honestly not at all what I was expecting when I read the description.

If you're used to reading romance, the "truth about the past" is quite an obvious one. After all, boy likes girl, boy leaves, girl disappears and has a secret, even 9 years later? It's a classic trope, and, while it's executed well, there's nothing too new there.

However. However - the real plot twist? The rest of the secrets Skye's past has to reveal? Those I did not expect. Let me just keep it to this - it's very clear from the beginning that Skye's mother is involved in something that could, if you were feeling nice, be called a religious cult. And it's a thing. The influence it's had on Skye's life is both huge and negative, but to see Skye and Aiden work through those problems - either with, or without their clothes on, and occasionally becoming entangled in one another? That was kind of my favourite part of this book.

Of course, there's more do. Hints and touches are given away about exactly how Aiden and his family went from poor to rich, and it's really made me want to read more on that. Luckily, as one would have it? There's an entire series already published, dedicated to nothing but the "rich Sinclairs". I'm quite curious to see how exactly they are, away from their one-sentence-appearances in Entangled.

The rating: 2.5/5
If you're in the mood for a fluffy, smutty read that features fun characters, realistic character development and of course: people with too much money and just the right amount of sense? Then this is definitely the book for you!

I received an ARC from the publisher and I am voluntarily providing this review.

Such a great story of love shared between Skye and Aiden Sinclair. I knew there had to be more to Skye's disappearance and anger that kept her from Aiden and finding out Seth had a hand in all the drama was enough to make me spit bullets. Aiden finding out he had a daughter was so touching but demanding they immediately move in with him was over the top Alpha Macho that I would not have taken as graciously as Skye. Though his intentions were good, he first came across as a bully.

I quickly came to Aiden's defense when I figured out how much he loved Skye even when Maya's paternity was questioned. The love the Sinclairs showed Maya brought me to tears. I cannot wait until Seth take the fall into the love pool. I hope there is a bit of payback for him.

J.S. Scott never disappoints! Entangled is full of pain, forgiveness, love and every emotion in between. She always throws in real issues that people can relate to. I love a good second chance book and this one was amazing! I am looking forward to the next Sinclair to take the fall.

3.5 Stars

I am beyond elated and excited that J.S. Scott is continuing onward with the Sinclair's... I loved the east coast Sinclair families, now I am liking the west coast bunch as well. Keep them coming.

I love a good second chance romance as much as the next, but this one didn't bring enough oomph to the table, if you get my drift. I felt that something was lacking in a sense. Aiden was beyond swoon-worthy to get his childhood crush/lover, Skye Weston, back into his grasp, but he had to fight the shadowed ghosts that came along with her. Skye was a heroine that I felt you could relate to, coming from her predicaments, but the rebuilding of their chemistry was a bit off. His demands vs her falling backwards to his every whim... I felt like there was no push/pull magnitude.

Anywhoo... I will always keep reading J.S. Scott's work as her writing is always impeccable, always downright engrossing. Entangled just fell a little short, that's all, and that's okay.

Ah <3 Entangled! I think this book reignited my love of reading, I just felt this connection and I was so glad to have the opportunity to read it.

Entangled is the second book in The Accidental Billionaire series. I didn't read the first one, but I don't feel you have to read the first book to enjoy the second book.   My curiosity was piqued, while reading Entangled, to find out the details of Jade and Eli’s story, so I plan to go back and read the first book in this series.  I always enjoy second chance love stories, and this one was excellent. Entangled is told in the dual point of view style, going between the two main characters Aiden Sinclair and Skye Weston.  This book was well written, and I did like Ms. Scott’s writing style. Also, she develops her characters in such detail, I felt like I knew them and they are people whom I would want to befriend.

Skye and Aiden started their love affair when Skye was only eighteen and Aiden was twenty-six. Both Skye and Aiden grew up poor.  Aiden and his older brothers have been supporting their younger siblings since their mother died and their father abandoned them. Skye grew up with a crazy religious mom that let a cult dictate how she lived her life.

Skye and Aiden’s relationship was very intense from the beginning, and their attraction was off the charts. An unforeseen complication forces Skye to leave town, and the two are separated for almost ten years. She comes back to Citrus Beach a changed woman, not the innocent girl she once was. The things she had to live through were unbelievably horrific. Although she has lived in fear for the past ten years, this fear has made her stronger but also closed off emotionally. Her mother has died and left Skye the cafe where she worked all her life, so she comes back to Citrus Beach to try to make the cafe a success.  Aiden is also not the poor fisherman that Skye left all those years ago, he is now a billionaire, a very gorgeous, alpha billionaire, who is still broken-hearted and pissed off that Skye dumped him for a wealthy mobster.

Reading Skye and Aiden’s story was a joy.  These two have never stopped loving each other, but will Skye’s past and her secrets prevent them from realizing that they still love each other and that they belong together.  Sorry, that's all I willing to reveal.  Entangled is a beautiful story of second chance love and I wholeheartedly recommend reading this book.

Entangled (The Accidental Billionaires Book 2)
By: J.S. Scott

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

Can two past loves find second chances?

Aiden and Sky once happy need closure or many just a second chance at love. Both have had major life changes multiple times that have broken each person in ways that second chances might be the only peace they have for true happiness.

Or at least that had been the plan…until he returned from a two-month fishing trip to discover she had moved away and was marrying somebody else. It tore his world apart.
Now Skye’s back in town after nearly a decade. She’s a single mother and just as beautiful as ever. However, for some odd reason, she appears to hate him, when it should be Aiden who wants nothing to do with the woman who dumped him. Unfortunately, more than nine years of separation have done nothing to put a damper on their white-hot chemistry. But even if those feelings are real, Skye has been keeping secrets. The truth of the past is about to come to light, and there is so much more at stake than just Aiden’s heart.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕
