It has been a while since I read an Adriana Locke book so I am going to go back and do some catching up. Basically girl comes back to town after 10 years when she left with a broken heart, she bumps into ex where he apologizes in a “sorry but not sorry” way. The book has some angst with some steam. Mia is adorable, way to mature for her age but cute nonetheless.
This story is a going back to your small hometown second chance sweet romance with great characters and dialogue. A feel good story that you know is going to have a happy ending.
Thank you netgalley and publisher for providing me with this ARC

4.5 stars for me. Loved this one.

This was a great easy read. Second chance small town romance with gorgeous single dad & great female lead. Yes please! I loved their banter. The slowburn feel of the book and the regrets, feelings that were exposed and explored. Neely and Dan were well rounded characters with well thought out dialogue and plenty of chemistry. Add in a super cute daughter, meddling friends and you've got a fantastic story.

Great first series book.
Dane, Neely and Mia story is heartbreaking. I a second chance love for child crush - high school sweethearts and small towns lovebirds.
Neely is passionate and a strong woman, Dane is a soft hearted man that love his sweetheart so much he have to let her go and Mia is the reason they split appart and the glue to the family. You will love this story, the friends and family give roots to Dogwood and make you smile.
I can't wait for more of this series.
I received a ARC from Netgalley for a honest review.

My favorite part of Adrianna's writing is the wit, grace, and love she grants to all her characters. This new series is no exception. Dane and Neely are super sweet, and I loved the ending!

I will read anything and everything that Adrianna writes. Dogwood Lane is just my newest favorite of hers. I can't wait to come back when she writes love stories for Matt, Penn, Haley, and Claire. I want them all!

Why I haven’t read Adriana Locke before? Because Tumble is definitely a book crush to me…
A story about second chances with two high school sweethearts who had such a promising future until they didn’t. The consequences of being young and not enough mature to take a chance on love and what’s life has to offer.

Neely had so big dreams, to leave Dogwood Lane and to live her passion, and being crushed in the way. When she had to come back home, all the heartbreak she left and buried deep inside reappeared and while it was easier to leave without looking back, this time was completely different. She was passionate about her dream job, caring but so unlucky to move on, like her heart was waiting to find its other half.

Dane was the man who supposed to be her forever until he broke her heart. With such an heavy past between them, and all the anger left, his feelings for her never change, and unconsciously his actions meant it all. Gravitating around her, attracted like a moth to a flame. The single dad couldn’t risk his heart for a woman who was so adamant to leave so quickly. Raising his daughter alone, trying to give her the best of himself… swoon, swoon, swoon!!

Neely and Dane reconnected in a powerful way, and had so much to learn from each other. Making you fall in love with this town and all the people who I’m sure have so many things to share in the future. His daughter was such a ray of sunshine.

This story was definitely my kind of romance. Meaningful, passionate, heartbreaking with so many feels. The author made me believe it, how love can conquer all. It’s never too late to find happiness, and home is just a place but the people who gave you everything without expecting anything in return. I have so much love for this book, so much! Can’t wait for more!!

So, I have mixed feelings about second chance romances. This one was tough in the beginning bc what happens when things end originally are tough to swallow. I was pretty annoyed with it all. Honestly, I don’t think I would have given Dane a second chance if I was Neely. Hormones be damned. But, with that being said the rest of the book is a sweet story about a couple still in love finding their way back to each other. It’s well written and the secondary characters are all great additions to the story (especially sweet Mia). Adriana is awesome at writing stories filled with characters that add to the book and remind you of a family. I look forward to reading the next book now that I’m invested in the people living in this small town.

This isn’t my favorite book by this author but I did enjoy it for the most part. 👍🏻👍🏻

What I liked:
The writing style
The supporting characters
Dual POVs
Part of a series: Dogwood Lane
Standalone
HEA
Epilogue

I had a hard time getting past what kept Dane and Neely apart, Dane's explanation, and Neely's reaction.

Adriana Locke has done it again! She has written another perfect story. Tumble is a second chance romance. It's a second chance for Dane and Neely, love story imploded 10 years earlier. This author never fails to write such believable, real, down to earth characters. I read this book feeling like I had a front row seat to someone's real life story, complete with all feels. This is a MUST read!

Well if you are like me you love Adriana Locke ... what’s not to love really!

This book does not disappoint, the story of Dane and Neely is one that sends you through an array of emotions. You start feeling really bad for Neely knowing what happened in the past ( trying not to give away too many spoilers ) . Then you begin to feel for both of them . I had to adult during reading some of this book and It definitely through me through the emotional loop, these characters make you feel!

What an amazing story! It’s one you need, and I mean NEED to read!

Adriana Sure knows how to pull at the heartstrings.

Neely has moved on from her life in Dogwood Lane. She has her fancy life in New York, and is only planning to stay a couple of days to visit her mother.

Dane has his life in Dogwood Lane and wouldn’t trade it for anything. He only has one regret, but even that regret comes with the greatest thing in his life!

Neely was strong willed and set in her ways. She knows what she wants and goes after it. She isn’t willing to settle and knows that she deserves the best.

Dane is such a great dad, he tries to put everyone else’s needs above his own. He is a care taker, and sometimes it backfires.

The chemistry between these two was apparent from the start. I was rooting for them from the first page, and couldn’t get enough of their story. If you love small town, second chance romances, then this one is a must read.

What a beautiful start to a new series!
I'm a huge second chance fan and combine that with Adriana's telling of their story, it was a very enjoying read. Their reconnection after years apart, building lives and making memories, but deep down inside their love for each other was never gone. I did have an issue with the way they parted years ago. Not a fan of that plot twist.
The introduction of the other characters really has me excited for more in the series.

What a bomb that gets dropped. My heart went into my stomach with sadness.

Second chance romance are always a hit or miss. You have to bring the angst and that raw emotion of the past. This author does that perfectly.

The one thing this author is exceptional at is writing secondary characters that you fall in love with.

Of course you love the two main characters, Dane and Neely but gosh you have to love Haley, Penn and Matt so much. Since this is book one I’m guessing someone will be getting their own story and I can’t wait.

I'm a huge fan of Adriana Locke so when I saw she had a new series coming out. Yesss Please, Sign me up! It's a terrific start for a new friend /family-centric series. It's got the small town setting that we love from Adriana. It's a second chance romance with a single dad. Do I need to say more? It's a light-hearted read full of sweet moments that will have your heart melting. I was living for the moments with Mia. She's too damn loveable.

I'm excited about all their stories but, I'm the most excited for Penn's. He's the Peck of this series. For those who don't know who Peck is, he's from The Gibson Boys series. His book is up next in that series and, I'd say it's the most anticipated one yet.

What a great book!! I love the chemistry the characters had. Not just the main characters either. All the characters meshed so well. I can't wait to see who is featured in book 2. The rich story, and superb writing has this book listed as a must read. I typically don't like second chance romance, at all, but this book has me rethinking it. This story is told in dual pov.

4* Second Chance Love Stars

I really enjoyed this small town romance story. The characters are so likeable and you will fall in love with them all. This second chance at love between Neely and Dane is heartfelt and realistic. I was rooting for them all the way.

I highly recommend this well written and easy flowing love story with low angst and a bit of sexiness.

I am excited to read what Adrianna brings us next in the Dogwood Lane series as there are a few very interesting characters who needs their story told, especially Penn!

Many thanks to Montlake Romance and NetGalley for my copy to read and review.

Loved it! Tumbled is a fantastic second chance romance. It’s sweet and sexy and heartwarming. I’ve got to read more stories from Ms. Locke

I received an ARC of this book, from the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Tumble is the first in Locke's Dogwood Lane series. A small-town girl myself, I love the stories about returning to your roots. Neely and Lane's second-chance love story had me hooked from the beginning. Recommend for fans of Jennifer Probst or Jill Shalvis. I'm looking forward to more from this series.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my review.

I enjoyed it. It can be read as a standalone. However the author writes characters that you just want to know their story too. This story has second chances, forgiveness, humor, acceptance, and love. Neely runs away from heartache and someone's mistake. Then quits her job and goes home to think about what she wants in life. She runs into her ex which caused her to run in the first place. Now she has to make a descion, can she can forgive him or keep her heart broken and move on with the life she has in New York. Neely's heart knows what it wants she just has to listen and follow what her heart is telling her. As we follow this journey between Dane and Neely I think some parts were too easy and didn't get addressed to the full extent. You do get to see some growth in both characters and there is a happily ever after.

Tumble is a second-chance romance story in the rural town of Dogwood Lane. Neely has lived in NYC for years and returns home after leaving her job, where she is reunited with Dane, her former boyfriend. Their breakup had been bad, and with so much time lost, both characters need to learn to forgive in order to move on.

The romantic part of their reunion took longer than I expected, but after finding out what drove Neely away, I can't blame her for being hesitant. I also would not have been as forgiving as she was. The biggest hangup in present-day Dogwood is that Neely and Dane had was not talking to each other, and not being proactive enough to reach for what they care for the most. Every story needs its conflict, but I was disappointed in these two for their lack of agency (and very disappointed in Dane for what he did in the past, regardless of the result).

Neely and Dane weren't the most likeable characters in the story. Mia was really cute, and it introduced the gymnastics element that made the town quite unique. Neely's mom was fun, and I like that we see her change some throughout the story as well. Grace, who is Neely's best friend from NYC, seemed obnoxious with all of her phone-screaming and neediness. If she gets her own story, I hope her personality isn't as bad as it seemed here.

Overall, it was an enjoyable read full of conflict. The final chapters were great (that receptionist needs her own story for sure). The town has a lot of potential for a new series, and while this couple may not have really resonated with me, the setting did. The cover art was vibrant and attractive. I look forward to future stories in Dogwood Lane!
