I will never look at the word "erect" the same again. I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. Best scene punch lines EVER. Poor Dane.

Okay on to the other good stuff. I truly enjoyed Neely and Dane second chance romance and the way advice and actually looking at the situation with new eyes helped develop the storyline and the characters reaction and interaction. This is my first read book by Adriana and the secondary characters and action will have me following this series until the end.

A fun and sexy read.

Neely Kimber left her small town life in Tennessee 10 years ago for the hustle and bustle of New York City and never looked back. But when she suddenly finds herself jobless, she returns to the place she never realized how much she missed. Careful to tread lightly and not open old wounds, her old
flame and basically long lost love of her life would be one of the very first people she runs into. Dane Madden broke her heart once and Neely is determined that’s not going to happen again. But of course he’s even more handsome than ever and has an adorable daughter who is just as irresistible as he is. Neely fits into Dane and Mia’s life seamlessly, which forces her to re-evaluate everything she thought she wanted..
This second chance romance is everything you want it to be and more. Small town drama is always fun to read for me and Adrianna Locke does it so well. The characters are funny and well developed and the storyline progresses quickly. This was a fun, quick read that had the perfect amount of love, angst, and heat!

Adriana Locke is one of my go-to authors since I’ve fallen in love with her Gibson Boys series, so I was just over the moon when she was releasing a new small-town romance series, Dogwood Lane. Throw in one of my favorite tropes, second chance romance, I just knew that I had to get my hands on Tumble. OH, and single dad 😉

Tumble turned out to be a light-hearted read and thankfully, no major drama. I was calling it a win. To me, this second chance turned out to go at a much realistic pace between Neely and Dane. And that actually made the story more enjoyable to me. I liked the fact that they didn’t get back together as soon as Neely came back to town after being gone for so many years. Understandably might I add.

From the very beginning, it’s evident that there’s still something holding strong between the both of them. Neely is obviously extremely hesitant for any impending interaction she may have with Dane and would just love to ignore him at all costs. Dane; her high school sweetheart that completely shattered her heart. I was Team Neely all the way, but deep down wanted Dane to work his way back into her heart again.

I loved Neely so much, it’s clear as day that she’s still dealing with that major heartbreak she suffered from years ago. And it just makes me want to pull her in and hug her. But I admired her so damn much because of her determination to go after her dreams. She’s someone that knows her worth and wouldn’t settle for less.

Dane knows what a huge mistake he made back then, but having a beautiful daughter out of it is something that he’ll never regret. Having Neely back in town, he wants nothing more than apologize and get a second chance with her.

I thoroughly enjoyed their story, it was rather emotional at times, but I loved the road they took towards love, again. They have so much to work through, to forgive, but it’s all definitely a beautiful sight in the end. Such a solid contemporary romance read with characters you’ll absolutely fall in love with!

So excited for this series and can’t wait for the next one in the series!

This is the first book in the Dogwood Lane series. Tumble is about a romance and a second chance love story. I truly loved and enjoyed reading about Dane and Neely. I thought Dane's little girl was adorable. The story was well developed and a heartwarming story.

I was super excited to receive this book! I absolutely love second chance romances, especially those focused on teenage love and the characters reconnecting as adults. I also love romances featuring single dads. Since this story had both I was super excited to read it. This story was well written.and I loved the dual POV. I loved Neely. and liked Dane as well. There were some things in the story that I absolutely did not like (the reasons for the initial breakup, the aftermath, and the handling of it in the future - purely personal preference) and that is what keeps me from giving the story 5 stars.

This was a beautiful story that ran me through the emotions, but ultimately left me smiling. Second chances are some of my favorite romances and this has definitely become a favorite. It can be frustrating at times, but realistic. It is exactly how I would feel in their situation without giving anything away. It's so sweet. I love the small town feel and the secondary characters were so fun. I can't wait to read more about them. This was definitely the start to a series I already know I am going to love and I can't wait to read more from this author.

I really liked this story! The little girl was adorable and she made the whole thing to me. I can’t wait for Matt and Penn’s stories! Oh and the receptionist at the end....fantastic!

Oh boy! Adriana Locke has the art of writing small town romances down to a tee! She has such a knack of drawing you in and immersing you right in the story as if you’re living it right alongside them.
I am a huge fan of all her books, I devour every single word she writes and Tumble has to be hands down one of my favourites so far.
I could go on and on about about this book but really you need to dive right in yourself. This book was truly outstanding and one I highly recommend. I can’t wait for the rest of the series!!

Tumble is the first book in the Dogwood Lane series by Adriana Locke. I love the way Adriana tells a story. She paints a picture in your head and you can just see the story unfolding as you read it. Tumble is a story about second chances in love. As in all second chance stories, with second chances comes forgiveness. Everyone makes mistakes and has regrets in their life, but it's rising above them and owning them that makes taking a second chance worthwhile. Adriana writes a story about love, past hurts, forgiveness, and new beginnings. I truly enjoyed it.

So this is the first book I've read from Adriana.... it definitely wont be the last.

As soon as I saw it was about a single dad Inwas like yesssss. Just knew I had to request to read lol.

Neely Kimber I love her such a fab heroine.

Dane Madden love me a single dad in a book and he was an amazing hero.

A sweet second chance romance; great start to a new series.

I’m a huge fan of this author and I’ve read everything she’s written so when I found out she was releasing a new series, I couldn’t wait to start reading it.

Neely returns to her home town in Tennessee when her dream job in New York falls through. She’s hardly been home in the past 10 years since her boyfriend broke her heart and although she misses the hustle and bustle of city life, there’s no place like home when you’re hurting. What she wasn’t prepared for was coming face to face with the boy from her past who is definitely a man now.

Dane has lived in Dogwood Lane all his life and is happy living alone with his daughter. He only regrets one thing in his life, hurting his high school sweetheart Neely all those years ago. When he sees her again for the first time in nearly a decade, it’s clear that the feelings from the past have resurfaced. He knows he’s got a lot of apologising to do if she’s ever going to forgive him but the heart wants what the heart wants so he’s prepared to do whatever it takes to win her back.

Just as Neely and Dane rekindle their romance, Neely receives a call that could change her life but will she choose the job she’s always dreamed of or the man who’s had her heart since she was a girl?

I really enjoyed this story. Neely and Dane were very likeable characters and Dane’s daughter is so sweet. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series and I would definitely recommend this story.

I am a huge fan of Adriana Locke's books, but I just could not get on board with this one. I feel like this book will be very polarizing for readers. One side will see a beautiful single dad/second chance romance, while the other will want to scream and throw their kindles across the room.

The writing was awesome as usual, but I couldn't connect with Dane or Neely and had a really hard time liking them. Dane seemed to be a great dad, but overall, he was way too selfish. What happened in the past to drive them apart is pretty unforgivable to me. I don't need to rehash it here, since there are several reviews which detail what happened. I was happy Neely addressed the elephant in the room (though she did say some low things in the heat of the moment), but any respect I had for her disintegrated when she apologized the next day for something he caused/for hurting him. To add insult to injury, Dane's response to his past actions is basically "I never meant to hurt you" and "we were broken up." This had Ross and Rachel from Friends written all over it. I understand that something earth shattering had to happen to drive Neely away for a decade, but this instantly made me dislike the hero and not believe in their love. They both frustrated me and I felt like the rekindling of their relationship was rushed. I know they've known each other since childhood, but the events in the epilogue take place weeks from the start of the story. It just didn't feel believable, undeniable connection or not. I would have liked to see more development between them as they got to know each other again, instead of falling back into familiar habits. There was also no angst or tension that she might not stay in Dogwood Lane. Everyone knew it was going to happen - the characters and the reader.

I did not like the notion that Neely's life was unfulfilled because of her focus on work. Everyone is different and to each their own. I just felt like there was a lot of judgement and negativity towards choosing a career/professional goal over a personal one. I understand that it was part of Neely's character arc to realize that for her, the professional life wasn't going to be enough, but it still irked me. Why can't we have it all? Instead of supporting her, everyone basically guilts and shames Neely and tells her they can't understand why she would give up a possible life with Dane to chase her professional dreams. Even when she quits and decides she would rather go back to Dogwood Lane and make a life with Dane, her boss basically tells her that devotion to his work cost him everything, so now all he has left is this job, and how happy he is that she's not making the same mistake!

I did enjoy the wonderful fictional world Locke created (how cute was Dogwood Lane?!) and awesome set of secondary characters who added humor and heart to the story. I really liked Haley, Matt, and Penn was a hoot! Unfortunately, this one was a miss for me, but I'm sure others will really enjoy it!

****DNF****. I only read to the 40% mark. I was really enjoying the book. BUT when I got to the part about why the couple broke up ten years ago I was done! I usually enjoy this author’s work, but what happened in this book is something that made me mad and I could no longer enjoy reading the story. I’m sure most people will enjoy the book. I will not rate this book because I’m sure this is a “me” issue and not a “Tumble” issue.

I absolutely devoured this book. This was my first Adriana Locke book and now I’m going to go back and read all of her books! Tumble is such a sweet and sexy slow burn-my absolutely favorite. The chemistry between Dane and Neely is there from the beginning. Oh the angst! I could totally feel the tension and pain from past wrongs. The way the two navigated each other and slowly got to know each other again was fire!!! Add Mia into the mix and this is just a perfect story. I can’t say enough good things about this book. Just read it.

A heartwarming story about second chances! I enjoyed this story, although at times I disliked things the characters did. Dane really did redeem himself and was a great father to Mia. Neely was a great character who had some soul searching to do to decide what she really wanted and what would make her happiest. Sometimes what we think we want or need is not as important as what we are giving up. Another great book by Adriana Locke.

Tumble is part small town romance and part second chance love story. At first, I was super curious about why Dane and Neely split. However, the most info was revealed, the more I was sure I was gonna be super pissed at Dane. Yeah, not happy with the decisions he made. Do I understand why a teenage boy would make the choices he did? Yes. Do I think it's okay? Hell no. What an idiot.

Neely is a female sports writer who just quit her job after being screwed over by a coworker. I could understand why she quit and how devastating it would have been for her. However, impulsively quitting your job is a bit immature for a woman her age (late 20's). But, she runs home to lick her wounds and finds out there were lots of things about Dogwood Lane she liked. She was a former champion gymnast and she got back into working at her old gym. I liked the small town aspect of the story-everyone is all in everyone else's business.

Dane's daughter, Mia, also adds a fun layer to the story. She is sweet and endearing and I loved that she and Neely had a sort of instant connection before either knew who the other was. Dane made mistakes in his past, but he has grown up in the years Neely has been gone and it was easier to forgive him. Neely fought forgiving him for a long time, and I understood why-they didn't talk after their explosive break up because Neely went off to college and then stayed gone. So, while we find out what happened to them and there is a lot of hurt and anger, they also have both matured and are different people now.

Tumble was a good start to this new series and I liked the supporting characters! I can't wait for their stories!

From the moment I started to read this book, I knew the other shoe would drop. I actually didn’t read the blurb and went in blind. I felt like Dane did something big to hurt our girl Neely, and he did! But, I felt protective of Dane... not sure why. He definitely came off as a dominant, caring, and loyal man. So being a single daddy was not something I prepared for... and I loved it!

Not only did this man go all in with Neely but he protects his fantastic daughter as well. It’s like he was born to love them both. Talk about swooning! Ahhhhh!

Neely just has to learn to trust the man who has always held her heart!

I really enjoyed this. The characters the sub characters, all of it. This author always manages to get me to fall in love with the entire character cast for the most part and dying for more. I loved Neely and felt for her for what she had been thru because every girl knows heartbreak. Dane i loved but i also was mad at what had happened in the past. But in the end i loved this story and loved the little girl, Mia. She was such a sweetheart. Im absolutely ecstatic for Tangle! I need so much more from these characters.
