I was very interested to read this book because of the title. I practice immigration law and wanted to find out from a non-immigrant's view what it is like to suffer through the ridiculous regulations for foreign professional workers. This is a poignant topic and very timely. The author begins the story with his excitement at the airport in Mumbai on his way to George Washington University in Washington, DC. Subsequently, he describes his experiences throughout college and then into the workforce upon graduation. I couldn't help but cringe at the various work authorization violations that occurred throughout the book, and unfortunately that became the point of the story. Unfortunately, he falls in with one of the unscrupulous Indian consulting staffing companies that have a very bad reputation of doing anything and everything to get around following the immigration regulations. The author even describes his bad feeling about this company, but in desperation, he ignores the feeling and moves ahead with employment, ultimately resulting in a violation of the immigration laws that forces him to leave the US and return to India. This is where the book gets a little bit sketchy. After a bout of severe depression, he suddenly hits it big with a game application that is bought by a famous Bollywood actor. Then the author consults with the Indian government on how to keep IT talent in India with an abrupt ending of the author meeting the woman he was in love with during college at an airport in India. I think there is a lot of potential in this story, but it needs further development and detail in several areas, including a better ending with a conclusion (even if it is a to be continued ending). Also, with some editing of spelling and grammar mistakes, some of the sections could be described more clearly. There are some areas where "he" and "she" pronouns are switched. Lastly, there are some factual problems with the immigration regulations but for me it just illustrates that from a non-immigrant's perspective, the regulations and process is nearly impossible to understand, let alone try to explain it in a page or two in a book. Keep working on this book and don't give up.

Heart rending!
I hope all those who made the move to the US in hope of better opportunities, I hope they get their green cards and passports. Timely and well written.

I loved this book. It flowed and offered an interesting perspective that may be differing from your own perspective. It was hard to put down and so glad I read it. I also loved the title.
