This is a fabulous resource for Nerf modders and a perfect inclusion to any library makerspace. From mechanical design to physical aesthetics there is something in here to appeal to everyone.

Workshop set up, parts and tool suggestions start the book off with a step in the right direction. Chapters specific to electrical, soldering and painting cover basic skills needed for most mods. Each step by step instruction is detailed and accompanied with a photograph plus a list of suppliers and resources are included in the back for additional support.

I received a copy from Netgalley in exchange for a honest review.

This book began with a brief history on NERF modding. The book was very well laid-out and visually pleasing with pictures aiding in all explanations of tools & organization, specs, safety, types of blasters, how-tos (mods), electric/soldering basics, 3D printing, painting, and advanced mods. The book also had a section in the back for resources and an index. I found this book very engaging and interesting and will purchase this title for my kiddos and their dad so that they can mod their NERF guns together.

Im not totally sure what i was expecting from this book, maybe how to pimp some of the many nerf guns that seem to be hanging around, unused due to bullets beinging down the back of beds, in the dog , in the neighbours bushes and under the sofa. A few stickers, some poster paint and an elastic band or three maybe!
No, just no. Far from it in fact .
This is not for the faint hearted, what is done to nerf guns in this book is nothing short of genius and once seen can never be unseen.
Beware , you will never again be impressed with the latest nerf gun fresh from the toy shop.
This is a whole new world.
That being said, I strongly suspect I would be unable to follow the processes myself due to my personal lack of diy expertise. I look forward to seeing the children's guns being converted in to a work of art by someone with skills.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
