I really wanted a chance to read these manga, but unfortunately the files expired before I had a chance to get to them. Based on cover design and description, a majority of the books sound interesting. Perhaps next time I will have time to read the eARC sooner.

I enjoyed Chloe and Nicolas romance. They definitely had a beautiful romance. I loved their growth in relationship and their love for one another. Cute read.

The Prince’s Mistress by Yu Kohaku – based on the original novel by Sandra Morton.
Finally, I have a winner!
I was determined to find a Harlequin Manga in which the story matched the quality of the illustrations.
The original novel by Sandra Morton, appears to be a very short story, probably posted as a free online read on the Harlequin web page. As such, I was unable to locate it since it was originally published back in 2009.

That said, this story, if it had been published officially, would probably have been released under the HP line, because of the focus on the wealthy and glamorous, a hallmark HP trope.

Therefore, if you know what to expect, none of the over the top aspects of the story will surprise you. In this case, I’d suggest taking it for what it is meant to be- a fantasy. Pure fantasy. Nothing about this story is realistic or plausible. However, it was sweet, sexy, and romantic, and I have to say Prince Nick is kind of dreamy. Chloe, however, is a harder sell, but she caved nicely.

I thought it was funny that both characters were hiding their true identities, hoping to avoid the marriages their families were expecting from them. Naturally, there are misunderstandings and pain along the way, but the ending is very nice-predicable, of course- but nice- with a proper happily ever after!!

Two people meet and fall in love however both are hiding their real identities, which can tear them apart. I love manga, this was romantic and even with a slight misunderstanding in it, it was a lovely romantic story.

The Prince’s Mistress never met a trope it didn’t love. We have Greeks who are also sheikhs: both our hero and heroine are secret royals, fleeing from political marriages and disguising themselves as a billionare and a fashion model because that’s how you keep secret identities hidden, with fame and fortune and every ounce of limelight. I’d tell you the rest—it’s bonkers—but it’s much more fun to discover the gems on the journey. Light and fluffy and fascinating.

This one was silly and there was nothing special in this story. Prince in disguise, running princess, they meet, they 'love' and then there is a BIG thing that puts roller coaster of the events - well that was not "BIG" just nothing that put me in such emotions I wanted...

I received this manga from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

Oh ho ho ho, this was just glorious. Our girl, the princess of Calista, falls in love with the prince of Aristo. Yep. OH, and these two don't know (for most of the book) about those facts. Chloe thinks Nic is just a rich playboy, and Nick thinks Chloe is just a model. :P I was so eager to have them both find out the truth, or at least be honest with each other. But then again, this is Harlequin, so the drama needs to be top notch of course. Talking is overrated. Plus, I was kind of hoping that the boy Chloe was to marry would turn out to be Nic. Given that this is a Harlequin manga there was a high chance of it.

*sighs* Dramaaaaaaa. And kids, this is why you talk to people. Especially those you have sex with and potentially want more of. I am probably supposed to find it all OH NO, but instead I was more OH Dear Lord. *rolls eyes*

I wanted to kick Nic in his nuts. Boy... instead of jumping to conclusions why not listen to this girl? I thought you were in love? But as soon as some dicey prime minister pops up and tells you things you believe him over you love? Wow, classy dude, classy.

Thankfully, very thankfully, Nick's father had brains. Thank you dad! Thank you.

That ending. *tears up again* Dang it, I am out of tears by the end of the day if this continues.

The art was just terrific. I especially loved Nicolas' design (though I have to say he looked better in normal clothes than his royal garb).

All in all, even with the drama, I couldn't stop reading. The romance was really good, and I just wanted these two to be together. Forever. *swoons*

Rating 3/5

I liked the plot line and the romance. It was well crafted, I just wish the story was a bit longer to make the romance very swoon worthy.

📚I received an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) from NetGalley and Harlequin/SB Creative as the publisher in exchange for an honest review📚

Book title : The Prince’s Mistress
Author : Sandra Marton; Illustrator : Yu Kohaku
Release Date : 1 January 2019

When Prince Nick has his time in disguise as a billionaire bachelor, he met Chloe, a supermodel at a fundraising event. It turns out that our supermodel is a princess who is hiding her identity. As they start to feel the attraction, they later have their short getaway. This getaway later turns out to be a sexual escapade for them.

I personally love the conflict which is represented with a misunderstanding. The artwork is great and brings the story to its spotlight as well. It makes this book as a very enjoyable sweet romantic story portrayed in manga-style.

A super classic: the prince in disguise and the virgin model....This time there is also a problem between the country of origin., it made me think about all the stories I used to read when I was younger....

Un super classico: il principe in incognito e la modella vergine. Credo ci fosse anche un film con Eddie Murphy tanto tempo fa e mi ha anche fatto ricordare tutte le storie che leggevo da piccola....

THANKS NETGALLEY FOR THE PREVIEW!

Book Review
Title: The Prince's Mistress
Author: Sandra Marton & Kohaku Yu
Genre: Manga
Rating: ***
Review: So, all I get from the synopsis of The Prince’s Mistress is that Chloe, a busy model, is helping out at a charity ball when she meets billionaire Nick. He agrees to make a significant donation if she’ll go out to dinner with him. While this is a pretty common plot for these types of books, I was still interested to see how these books would be adapted to manga format.
This was a pretty bog-standard story with Chloe and Nick both having secrets they can’t reveal but after quickly falling in love they decide to reveal their true identities to one another. However, a huge misunderstanding takes place they are driven apart but they both still love each other and call off their arranged engagements.
After being convinced by his father Nick chases Chloe down and asks her to marry him and they get their happily ever after. While this was a pretty generic story with generic characters, I did really like the fact they went into some detail about how life for men and women is drastically different in Mediterranean countries.

A lovely manga romance story about two people living in New York who meet each other at a fundraising event but both of them are hiding their identity.

When all is revealed is what remains enough to build a relationship on?

This is a lovely romance with a misunderstanding that appears to bring things to and end, but thankfully love overcomes words said in anger and hastiness, and of course there is a lovely happy ending.

As with all these Harlequin Mangas the artwork is great and brings the story to life. This is a very enjoyable romantic story depicted in manga which is an addedd bonus if you are a manga fan.

Cooy provided by Harlequin/SB Creative in exchange for an unbiased review.

Nick's time and disguise as an unrepetant billionaire bachelor is running out, but days before he resumes his duties as heir to the throne of his small Kingdom he meets a beauty at a charity event and falls for her. However, Chloe has a secret of her own and two wrongs don't make one right, or do they? Enjoy this passionate manga while you're curled up on your sofa and treat yourself to a story where love conquers all.
