I received this manga from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

Two people, a bit like Romeo and Juliet, fell in love and then broke up. Now 6 years later our MC is the mother of a child and the love interest from then is back. He wants to see the kid. We quickly learn that Nicholas was the one who orchestrated it all, and boy, I wanted to kick him in the nuts. But that both of them never cared to check if it was true. Or even talked. But then again, as I have said in a few other reviews, Harlequin people don't talk. Or they do, eventually with tons of drama.

"What's wrong with me? My heart is beating so fast." Um, girl, you are still in love with him. Especially now you saw that he still quite loves you + he did fill out very nicely. Though he was already quite swoony back when they first met.

I loved that Theo had an interest in his son (a bit late, sure, but eh at least he tries), but I can imagine that Stella is worried about things. She always cared for her boy and now there is the father of her boy. He does have the right for custody. Poor woman.

But in the end, I did love them together. It was really sweet, and I got so happy seeing them bond, talk, and figure things out.

I guess it was all expected that Nicolas, yes, dickymcdickyson popped up. Harlequin characters can never have a peaceful moment, that only happens when they have reached their happy endings.

Can I just insert tons of gratitude and love to Stasio. That dude is the real hero in this story. Always being there for Stella, supporting her, talking with her, helping her with her son (being almost like a father for him).

The court case? That did bring out some very interesting and horrific things? Wow. On the one hand, a bit too over the top for me, but on the other hand it did fit the story perfectly. Now we finally know what happened in the past and how everything went from perfect romance to destruction.

And once again, I not crying, I just got something in my eyes. Dear heavens, these past few Harlequin manga have magnificent endings. *sniffles*

The art was pretty decent. Not always my favourite, but still pretty nicely done.

Book title : The Greek’s Long-Lost Son
Author : Rebecca Winters; Illustrator : Haruhi Sakura
Release Date : 1 January 2019

A sweet romance between Stella and Theo. It’s been six years since they’re together as a couple. Their youth love does not go smoothly as Stella’s family is very much against them. They later want to elope but some misunderstandings come up. One thing that they do not know: Stella is pregnant when the love has to end. After all the years, Theo calls Stella and wants to talk about their son. She agrees to meet him just to find out that her Theo has become more attractive and she still has some feelings for him.

I personally love the part when they have to deal with Stella’s family especially her older brother. Ah, he annoys me to death. I also love the way Stella and Theo’s attraction sparks after being separated for years. The artwork is also stunning and it makes this manga-style-sweet-romance enjoyable to read.

Snoozefest, there was no romance. It was boring and it was not very good. Stella and Theo separated by her family and she was pregnant at the time. Great premise but the story fell flat.

Every time time there is a long story that fails, or almost, due to honor problems, the main characters are always Greeks or Italians and I have always found it so funny. This time is not different and we are in Greece. Easy enjoyable reading.

Ogni volta che c'é una love story che potrebbe non trovare il lieto fine per una questione d'onore, i protagonisti sono sempre o greci o italiani e anche stavolta non si scampa. In Grecia un magnate ritrova il figlio che riteneva mai nato.... Facile e piacevole lettura.

THANKS NETGALLEY FOR THE PREVIEW!.

Book Review
Title: The Greek's Long-Lost Son
Author: Rebecca Winters & Haruhi Sakura
Genre: Manga
Rating: *****
Review: So, we know from the synopsis that Stella and Theo had a relationship, but their families didn’t approve especially when Stella finds out she is pregnant, so they plan to run away together but Theo never shows. Now, six years later he is back in touch and wants to get to know their son and while Stella is hesitant, she agrees to meet with him.
When Theo and Stella meet again it becomes obvious to anyone apart from these two characters that Stella’s brother Nicolas set them both up. Nicolas told Stella that he had paid Theo $100,000 to leave her and the baby while he had Theo beaten up which nearly killed him and when he tried to find Stella, he told Theo that she had aborted the baby and didn’t want to see him as they come from very different worlds.
As Stella sees how much Theo loves Ari and what he is willing to do for him, she finds it is stirring up old feelings, but she can’t get past his betrayal. However, when Nicolas learn that Theo is back in Stella’s life although not as a lover but as Ari’s father, he decides to sue Theo. This is made worse when Nicolas learns that Theo has made himself a very rich man.
The best scene for me is when Stella sneaks into the courthouse and discovers the truth of what her brother did, she immediately apologizes to Theo for the way she acted, and they decide to give their relationship another go. The epilogue where we see Stella pregnant with her second child and the family are happy was a lovely ending to the story and I felt that this story worked very well in manga format.

I really enjoyed the manga but this is one of those romances that are based on 'a big misunderstanding' and this is a trope I dislike.

Six years ago Theo was a poor, struggling man with no money. He met Stella in church and they had a secret relationship. Secret because Stella was from a very wealthy family who wouldn't approve of her relationship with a man from a poor background.

Stella became pregnant and Theo and Stella decided to elope. Alas Stella's meddling brother Nic told Theo and Stella lies which led to a misunderstanding. Theo couldn't get in touch with Stella (despite the huge availability of social media and email) and Stella believed the lies her brother had fed her (despite the huge availability of social media and email).

Six years later Stella is a single mum to an adorable little boy called Ari. Then Theo comes back into their lives and he is surprised to find out Stella has a son because her brother had told him that she would have an abortion. It took him six years to contact her despite the availability of social media and email.

Now he is back in their lives does Theo tell Stella what really happened and how her brother misled him? No.

Does Stella ask Theo what really happened all those years ago despite seeing that Theo has scars on his face and hands? No

Anyway as is the way with these stories the truth eventually comes out and the couple rekindle their love for each other and get married and live happily ever after.

The artwork is great and actually saves what is an entirely predictable story. I like reading Harlequin manga but this one was just not a favourite of mine. I like romances that don't leave me incredulous and rolling my eyes. Having said that I like manga so much that I will read the most cheesiest story and still enjoy it.

If you like manga and romance, and you don't mind a sprinkling of cheese then you will definitely enjoy this one.

Six years later Theo comes back a rich man and discovers Stella did have his son and is ready to fight all odds to keep Stella and their family together as they were meant to be from the start. Will they succeed or will greed step in the way again? Find out and enjoy this romance manga.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin manga for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. While I enjoyed the story, I find the manga distracting and that it lacks emotion and dialogue. I am not a fan. I guess I want the words. I rate this a 3.

Okay this was everything! Romance, family drama and some dark moments! I cannot say how much I loved little Ari -- he was too stinking adorable. I loved the way Stella and Theo's love only blossomed after having been separated for six years. I loved how hard Theo worked to be able to mean more to Stella. Stella's family was just horrible -- especially her brother. That ending was everything. Great read!
