Boss, Katy Evans’s intro to Harlequin Desire, is a steamy, sexy office romance standalone. I truly love a boss/employee type romance. This was my first Harlequin Desire read and if they all are as steamy, sexy as Katy’s, then I will be sure to read more!

Kit and Alexandra’s relationship was full of angst, heat and you are rooting for them to get together. Did I mention Kit is a sexy Brit? Sigh. If you’re looking for a quick, yet steamy read, Boss is the book for you!

Boss is a romance between boss an an employee. Alexandra has her nose to the ground and Cupid Arrows her baby. When her boss retires and his son takes over... what’s the worse that could happen?
Kit is used to being a playboy and getting what he wants. From the beginning these two are instantly attracted to each other. It was a decent book and I’m interested in reading about kits brother William.

This was a fun and quick read. The plot was a little predictable but still a good read. Alexandra has set goals in her life and does not deviate from it. She has made herself invaluable to the company she works for so she is surprised when the CEO decides to step down but put his son in charge. Kit Walker has never held a real job since he's been traveling. However, he wants to prove to his father that he can run the company. Sparks fly between Alex and Kit but Alex refuses to act on it since he is her boss and she has to "train" him on what he needs to know about the company. Added to that, Kit's father wants her to report on Kit's status on how he is doing as CEO. The two clashes but finally decide to call a truce, especially when they finally act on their attraction to each other. However, someone doesn't want Alex and Kit together. When their secret relationship comes out, things changed. The two of them must show Kit's father that their relationship hasn't ruin the company.

Katy Evans is one of favourite authors. To me, she is one of my unicorn authors. One of the authors I would read anything from. I get so giddy when she announces a new book. I have loved every single book she has written. I am one of those who would shout to the world about her books. Seriously, if you haven't read her books, you definitely need to.

With a her flair of sexy and passionate love scenes, Boss is a sensual office romance full of sexual tension, witty banter and sweet chemistry. An enticing bite of a romance with a fast paced love to warm you up and give you tingles. Katy Evans writing always captivates. She pulls me into her gorgeous stories. However, with an interesting storyline, I liked it but I did not love it. I could not connect with the characters. I needed more relationship between the characters and Katy Evans always delivers that. But Boss truly lacked that.

I still love Katy Evans . I will always be a fan of her books.

4 Stars

Boss is the all new stand-alone by Katy Evans. It was soooo good! Boss is a quick, insta-love, forbidden office romance novel that was steamy and unputdownable. I love Katy Evans and her incredible imagination. This story is sweet, sexy, and thoroughly enjoyable.

Alexandra is a sassy, headstrong character that is used to being in charge. She’s worked hard for Cupid’s Arrow being the lead for the design team. So when the big boss’ son comes to take over, all she sees is a rich spoiled man who doesn’t deserve it. Little did she know that Kit was going to change everything.

Kit is the ultimate playboy. Never having to work and partying it up at every chance he gets. When his father decides to step down and throw him into being CEO at Cupid’s Arrow, he knows there’s going to be challenges. Especially Alexandra Croft.

Their chemistry was AMAZING! The push and pull between them was electrifying. Katy Evans wrote a fantastic story that I highly recommend reading!

As I was reading this book I kept questioning if this is a book from one of fav authors. I have read all of Ms Evans books, some more than once, but this one by far was not my favorite to date. Maybe I am used to a 300 plus page story that gets down to the meat and bones of the characters but there was too much crammed into 200 pages that just didn’t flow together to me. I just could not like Alexandra at all. She tried to be a strong powerful woman but came across to me as a tyrant with a huge ego the size of the moon. I did not like the spying she was asked to do by Kit’s dad, which she went along with. Kit was adorable and I really liked his character. I didn’t feel chemistry between the two hardly at all. This story was just not for me. I still love Ms Evans and will look forward to reading more from her in the future.

Boss by Katy Evans is an upbeat, instant love, work romance that was so fun to read. I instantly knew I was going to love Kit Walker. The moment he walks in he owns the book. He's charming, enigmatic, and once he shows his true colors, he's going to own the hearts of women everywhere.

Alexandra is a hard working, in control woman and when Kit comes into her life, he throws everything on it's axis. I loved that he gave new meaning to her world and helped to show her that it was okay to cut loose sometimes and just live. These two together give a slow burn a whole new meaning. You don't know whether they are going to have it out or kiss one another. I loved the dynamic between them and the fierce chemistry they have is off the charts. So be in store for a quick, steamy, yet scandalous story.

I give Boss by Katy Evans 4 out of 5 I'll Always Catch You STARS!

Alexandra was a driven independent no nonsense woman and I enjoyed her character. She’s worked hard for everything she had so that’s why when Kit, the youngest son of the owner of the company, comes onboard she has in issue with him. She always knew he would take over she just didn’t take it was fair that he didn’t appreciate things or take the job more seriously. Kit on the other hand was smitten with her immediately but he knew she would be tough to crack. This was not an instalove but Kit was brace and persuaded Alexandra. It wasn’t easy but she fell for him and hard. When things seemed like it was going to go left it was terrible but then Kit redeemed himself. He wasn’t what she thought he was; he was actually hardworking and very alpha and swoony. Great story.

Want to know a good way to insure that I’ll read a book: tell me the author is Katy Evans. Now, I’m not a big fan of office romances. I can take ‘em or leave ‘em. However, Katy Evans is a must-read author.

The chemistry between Alexandra and Kit is consuming almost as soon as you start reading BOSS. Alex is a workaholic who has worked hard to earn her position at her company, Cupid’s Arrow. So I felt for her when the owner pulls her into his office to announce that he is retiring and leaving the company to his son, Kit, who has never worked a day in his life.

I think anyone would feel a little hostile towards a playboy getting the company they’ve worked so hard at just handed to him.

This fast-paced story literally jam packs in all the emotions into this short read and hits you with them like a one-two punch. There’s romance (obviously), hostility, betrayal, redemption… just to name some.

BOSS is an amazing and memorable quick read that you won’t be able to put down until you reach the end. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series about Kit’s older brother!

Boss by Katy Evans gives us an office romance where the trust-fund heir is now the new boss when he has not worked a day in his life and Alex has worked very hard to be the top in the business. Now she has to not only mentor him, but also report back to his father, her previous boss, but also follow his demands in her work. What’s a girl to do?

Boss by Katy Evans is a quick read about enemies to lovers in this office romance. Kit is the owner’s son who is taking over but is known as a playboy with no responsibilities. Alexandra, Alex, has worked very hard to be where she is today. When they first meet, they do not hit it off. She sees him as rich and spoiled and he sees her as his’s father favorite pet in the office. Yet their chemistry is off the charts.

Happy reading.

With the Manhattan series being one of my favorites by Katy Evans, I couldn’t wait to read this office romance that’s sizzling on every page! Naturally when it comes to every one of her books that I’ve read, I just devour them like candy.

I haven’t read any of the books from Harlequin Desire, but Katy definitely had me eager to look more into these and add them all to my TBR. I had a bit of free time on a recent travel, so I knew this quick read would fit the bill perfectly.

I love a good alpha hero that’s not completely overbearing and Katy writes them sooooo well. From the beginning, Kit was a bit of a grade-a you know what, but he instantly captivated my heart once we got to see the other side of him that proved he wasn’t always so arrogant.

Everything between these two is hot and intense especially at the beginning with bit of their loathing towards each other. There was definitely no hiding the chemistry they had!

Katy managed to write a quick and steamy read that covers all the bases that I look for in an office romance! I loveddddd the bickering these two had with each other, but more than anything watching the progression of their relationship! I’m definitely hoping she writes more for Harlequin Desire.

This book had everything I wanted. I grew up reading Harlequin books..they were always filled with stories of irresistible men and gorgeous female protagonist who's stories made this romantic heart swoon.
Having been a fan of Katy Evans's for years now, It was a no brainer that I was really excited to read BOSS.

Boss by Katy Evans so much fun! Super sexy, steamy and it has one of my favourite tropes, Office romance! Wohoo!

So If you are in a mood for a sexy office romance that is short but satisfies all your desires, BOSS is it.

I wanted to like this book. The office romance trope is one of my all time favorites. Throw in some enemies to lovers and I should be over the moon happy. Unfortunately, this book fell a little flat for me. I definitely expected more. It was just an okay read.

My biggest problem with the story is that I had a tough time connecting with the characters. Alex is supposed to be this strong willed businesswoman but she came off as short sighted and hypocritical. My favorite thing about her is her relationship with her sister. (That was definitely something worth admiring.)
And Kit. I barely knew anything about him except that he's a Playboy billionaire. I would have loved more about his past or his relationship with his family.
Alex and Kit's relationship didn't feel authentic or natural. It felt rushed and lacked chemistry outside the bedroom. I needed more of a heart to heart connections.

I know this review reads mostly negative but honestly it wasn't a bad book. It was just a fine book. It's good book to pick up if you want a quick, steamy story to get you by.

There's something to be said for reading a Harlequin title by an author that you already know you enjoy. And, it's even more fun when it is as good as you were expecting it to be. There's a reason Harlequin has been around a while, and there is a reason Katy Evans books are some of my favorites of all...and books like this are the specific examples for each of these.

Kit and Alexandra strike sparks off one another from the beginning. This is a category romance, so there is some predictability in the way the story unfolds. But, the fun of this one is the characters and the writing. Office romance is either one of the best tropes out there, or one that is difficult to make work. With Katy Evans writing it, this one was hot, it was fun, and it absolutely worked.

I enjoyed this title, and I recommend it.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher.

Hello office romance! Kit is Alex's new boss and to say their chemistry is distracting is an understatement. The problem with these two is they both want to be in charge and you can only have one boss.

I could give you all the dirty details but let's just say this book has a good tug of war between characters. It's not the typical Katy Evans book we might all expect but it's definitely the typical Harlequin Desire novel.

This book read quickly for me and though it's not a super favorite it was still written well. I look forward to the next novel - Big Shot.

Kit and Alexandra a work place forbidden romance filled with sizzle, witty banter and unbelievable attraction .
Alexandra has worked her way up in the company with hard work, talent and long hours. Her boss always notices and now he is stepping down and his replacement is nothing that she could have prepared for. His son has come in to take the reigns. Kit is arrogant, brooding , sexy as sin and now Alexandria's new boss. She fids herself in a precarious situation when her former boss asks her to watch and report back on the progress of his son. She soon realizes that Kit may be so much more than he seems and may also be shinning in this position but he also takes quite a liking to his lovely employee.
Kit has always been a playboy and now he is here at his fathers company to take over and show them he as what it takes to make it . It should be complicated but the moment he meets her it is so much more difficult than he could imagine . He finds himself wanting things that he has ever dreamed and yes she is his employee . She is beautiful , intelligent and oh so good at her job but he is her Boss !

Katy Evans had me at REAL back in 2013. I have eagerly anticipated and devoured every release since because I fell in love with her characters, plots and writing style. I thoroughly savor being ravaged by an intense story and being left wrung out at the end. Some of all my all time favorite series were created by this talented author and that will always keep me coming back for more of her fantastic words.

Boss on the other hand is a much lighter approach. Not sure if that's meant to be the case to fall in line with the Harlequin label or just the avenue Katy took in this particular book. This story is a chaotic blend of office romance with some serious enemies to lovers vibes. Nothing about the way these two characters are introduced screams harmonious transition when the former boss retires. He sets up his son Kit to be taught and ratted out by his right hand women Alexandra. That's a tough dynamic in any scenario let alone a romance. However as always, Katy Evans makes it intriguing. She creates an easy to read build up of angst plus back and forth power struggles. Eventually someone or something has got to give, right?

I kind of rooted for these two from the beginning hoping they could harness that explosive chemistry and give us some steamy lovn'. Can these two find common ground, work out their power trips and find love? You'll have to read to find out.

Kit Walker has never held a job, now his father wants to give him the family business. A dating app Cupid’s Arrow. But first Kit has to show him he can handle it, if not not only will he lose the job he will also lose his inheritance.
Alex Croft is the head of the design team at Cupid’s Arrow. She finds out that the CEO of the company is retiring and wants to give the to Kit. She is determined not to let that happen. Alex is finding it hard not to let him get to her but as they start working together it is hard to not feel how strong the chemistry is between. This is a quick read. A good read.

Boss is a steamy, forbidden office romance starring a feisty heroine who finds her perfect match. The story is a quick and sexy read.

Alexandra Croft has worked hard on making Cupid's Arrow a success. So when she discovers her boss is retiring and putting his playboy son in charge, she lets her ego get the better of her. Kit Walker doesn't back down. He goes head to head with Alex until their chemistry drives them together. However Office romances rarely go unnoticed.

Oh the scandalous angst! I enjoyed the office romance and can't wait for the next Walker brother to find his match. 4 Stars

Alexandra is a beautiful career driven woman who is in charge of the design team at Cupid’s Arrow. She has proven herself to be indispensable to the company and the CEO but now that he is retiring things are about to change.

Kit is the heir to his father’s company, and he needs to prove that he is worthy and that mean making whatever changes are necessary to prove to him that he is worthy.

Alexandra is less than impressed that not only is the new CEO without experience in the company but that she needs to assist him as he adjusts to the position he hasn’t earned. Working together when the chemistry between them ignites will they be able to keep their relationship strictly professional?

This is a fun and flirty office romance that doesn’t disappoint. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
