If you love a hot guy with a British accent, then you will love this book. Alexanda has worked for Alistair for years developing an app to bring dating into the information era. When he announces his retirement and that his son Kit is taking the reins, she is devestasted. But what happens when these two mix business with pleasure? It's been a while since I've read a fast paced Romance from Blaze but I absolutely loved it. These two are the epitome of working couple goals. Can't wait to see what is next!

Cute, cute, cute, cute, cute! I’ve read a ton of falling for your boss books but this one was extremely sweet. Alexandra is a no nonsense workaholic but there’s just something irresistible about a bad boy with a British accent. Kit is very underestimated and when the two meet for the first time...sparks fly from both sides. And not always in a sexy way. But don’t get me wrong, this story is full of steamy scenes that will melt your kindle screen. I found this romance to be a scorching page turner and I didn’t want to set down.

Boss is a fast-paced, entertaining read written as a Harlequin Desire story. These reads are emotional, sexy stories filled with passion and desire, sexy times and ultimately end with Hero and Heroine riding off into the sunset. Okay, they don't really ride off into the sunset, but they do find their happily ever after. Such is the case Kit and Alexandra. Two people who started off hating each other in that classic enemies to lovers, office romance kind of way, but quickly succumbed to the blazing attraction they felt for one another.

Alexandra is a no-nonsense, career driven women whose exacting standards and over the top work ethic has helped her quickly climb the ladder at Cupid's Arrow, a premier dating app. Kit is the son of Alex's boss and has just been handed the keys to the company, which rankles Alex to no end. The animosity between these two is thick in the air at first, but all too quickly it changes to something much more intimate.

With this story being in the Harlequin Desire series, it moves at a lightning fast pace. I think because of that fast pace, I didn't feel a solid connection with the characters. Alex acted very wishy washy in my opinion, which was confusing since she was such a force to be reckoned with at work. Kit quickly started pursuing Alex, but I couldn't really figure out why since she was nothing but antagonistic to him initially, and then played coy which came across as sort of smarmy to me. I know the Harlequin stories follow the quick and sexy insta-love format so we aren't going to get all the components of a romance we normally would with a full length novel, and I think that is primarily what I am missing.

Fans of Katy's books and readers who love the quick and sexy stories, this book is perfect for you!

I had never heard the term ' A Harlequin Romance ', and honestly I had to look up the definition to even find out what it means. To be quite blunt, Boss is the pure definition of a Harlequin Romance . A simple story with a happy ending. As always, Evans has the ability to write anything she puts her mind to, with the perfect writing style, that always seems to capture my attention. Boss is not a complex story, it is a quick bite into the romance world, with characters that are likable. This insta-love / chemistry book is a very easy read.

Alexandra worked her tail off to get where she is professionally. She is not your party girl, but a career driven woman that expects the best of her co workers. She is a hard shell to crack with a very serious demeanor. She is bossy, and doesn't care what anyone thinks of her.

Kit is the black sheep of his family. He has the playboy looks that matches his playboy reputation. He has never had a steady job, and has enjoyed traveling the world. He is laid back as a person, but serious when he needs to be.

When Kit steps into Alex's world, he has to do more than prove himself in her eyes. When Alex is tasked mentoring Kit, things get a little bit heated. With tempers or with their chemistry?

While I did enjoy Boss, the reason for the 4 star rating is because, it felt rushed. I felt that their story just needed a little bit more, it felt like they wanted to say more. I know this book was intended to be short, but it would have been a lot better if there was more to it.

*Do I still recommend it? Yes, absolutely. Katy Evans is just one of those authors that can write really amazing stories, no matter what.

Fantastic! Harlequin Desire’s Boss was so well crafted that time flew by. There’s nothing like a bit of humor, drama and sexy time to make my day complete. Katy Evans drew me in and held my attention with her descriptive writing and character development.

I absolutely adore Harlequin books and this is definitely worthy of your time.

I haven’t read a Harlequin Romance in years. When I started reading romance, I would pick up either a Desire or Blaze from the bookstore.

If you have read a Katy Evans book, but of her leading men tend to be a little brooding, or like playing head games and her leading women tend to be more timid. Here you get Kit the soon to be CEO of his father's dating app company and Alexandra, the tough as nails HBIC of her design team.

Since this novella is not set to release until May, but if you’re looking for an quick, easy office romance, Boss doesn’t disappoint.

Just the lack of communication between the h/h was my only pet peeve.

Now this is a romance! It felt like exactly what you want and expect from an office love story. I'll admit it took me a minute to warm up to Alex. She was so tightly wound and defensive! Making judgements about Kit without knowing him. I love how his walls come down around her. There's all this tension, plus they work together so maybe they shouldn't be together. There's desire, but oh, there is swoony romance. He definitely knows how to woo. He woos so well. I loved their story and look forward to more like this.

I love me some Katy Evans. I was so excited when Netgalley approved me to read and review this book.

Alexandra is the best at Cupids Arrow and everyone knows it. Even the CEO Alistair knows it and he groomed her to be great!

Then out of the blue Alistair decides to retire and leave his son Kit in charge of is pride and joy. I really like how much Alistar cares for Alexandra, it is like a father daughter thing.

Now that Kit is running the place he and Alexandra are all out of sorts. He has never worked a day in his life but Alexandra has.

I fell like Kit is a little jealous of Alexandra because his father speaks so highly of her and he pretty much just let her run her team with no supervision.

Alexandra doesn't know if she hates him or wants me. That is completely unlike her to do and feel so much. She is not use to his presents or the heated stares he gives her.

Then one drunken to honest night changes things up just a little. And no dirty nerd it us not what you think...or is it.

I can tell you that this man Kit is a true gentlemen and I love it!

I actually loved everything about this read. Heck I even thought that Alistar planned the whole thing out...having these two youngsters working together but I was wrong.

Anyway....you will love how it all starts, happens, and end. Oh and I cant wait for book two...that will be Kit's brother William's story.

Happy reading Bookies!!!

Always love Katy Evans's books but this one just didn't hit it for me. Decent read just couldn't connect with the characters.

Kit Walker, established playboy, is attempting to establish himself as the new head of his father’s online dating business. Department Head Alex is keen to support Kit at first, but her empathy soon turns to hostility when Kit’s method of establishing himself is over-riding her decisions and design work. A completely ridiculous drunken outburst from Alex – that would get her fired on the spot in the real world – resets the relationship and they embark on an affair. However, Alex has been given a secret mission from Kit’s father to report back to him on Kit’s progress within the company. Will exposure spell the end of their romance? There is a creepy friend, levels of betrayal, and some decent sex scenes to make this an okay modern romance. – Megan Osmond

It honestly pains me to say this because I'm usually crazy about Katy's writing but, this one wasn't my favorite. It was a quick easy sexy read. I'm all about a steamy office romance. I enjoyed Kit and Alex's sizzling chemistry. I loved the banter back and forth and Alex's fiery personality. I did at times find it a little rushed. It wasn't my favorite but, it was still a good read. I'll read whatever she writes.

As a true fan of Katy's work, I will never back down to reading any of her novels! Especially when it's a steamy, office romance that will have you wanting more. This kind of romance is the type of romance that Katy is known for and deserves every form of appreciation because of it. Kit Walker and Alexandra will stand tall with power and determination as individuals. When they first meet, the instant attraction is present. Due to the fact that they both work together, there is a limit of what they can see of each other. However, once they are together both physically and emotionally, it is a dynamic duo that will make you crave more of their story.

There is drama, there is steam, passion, and all sorts of secret and alpha possessive scenes. But most of all, there is the whole perspective of fighting for the one you truly love. Kit Walker does that, and he does it in a way that will consume you with love and adoration towards him and Alexandra.

Katy Evans is one of my go to authors and I jumped on the opportunity to read this book on netgalley!

Alex is the main character is a little firecracker waiting to ignite at any moment. She is super fun to read and made me giggle and squeal at points.

Then there is Kit he is you alpha male who thinks he knows it all and has it all until Alex shows him he doesn't have her and he wants her.

The passion is hot and the naughty bits made me melt into a puddle of mush! Great book!

When the CEO retires, his colleague is assigned to help transition the new successor. With no business experience the new successor must prove himself worthy. A trial run is provided while the colleague reports back to the CEO. All is compromised when love blooms in the workplace.

Harlequin Desire stories move quickly sizzling up the pages with steamy sex scenes. They are set in a world of luxury and drama. This particular story is an office romance between the boss and the colleague. This one had luxury with a side order of drama. The primary focus was on mentoring and training the inexperienced boss.

Overall: These two characters had opposite work ethics. It started with hate then turned into a mutual understanding of friendship. Alex’s character is an all work and no play type of gal, while Kit is an all play with no work experience type of guy. Yet, together they balanced each other out.

Alex’s character was a spitfire in the office. Remove her from the office and she was timid and careless. I struggled with her careless choices in social settings. I also struggled with the way Alex reacted and responded to Kit. She lost her mind in his presence behaving recklessly. While Kit’s character was put together at all times having control of his actions. I liked him, yet I didn’t trust him either.

I really like the way Katy writes her sex scenes. Those scenes are smokin hot. Quite honestly the sex scenes were the best part of the story. The office gossip and project assignment wasn’t all that exciting to read.

Kit and Alexandra are explosive, both in and out of the conference room. I loved them both and loved their story even more. I wanted to punch someone close to them both near the end, but it all worked out perfectly!

There are times Alex knows when to cut her losses, "when it’s over, Kit and I lie in bed. My legs are trembling. “I feel like with all these distractions, I should give up on making the soup.” This was a quick fun reas that I really liked.

Although I love Ms. Evan's books, I think this one was underwhelming because of the publisher. There is a certain pattern that these books follow and I think she was hard pressed to rein in her own words to keep to that pattern.

The hero suddenly fell in love with her, when you would not have thought that from his own words and actions. The heroine was so uptight and proper that she was not very likable. The only time she could relax seemed to be when she was drunk. That really bothered me.

Don't get me wrong, it was a sweet, easy read. Just not a favorite of mine.

"He speaks in a toe-curling British accent that should be outlawed in the States."

I'm a Katy Evans fan and was thrilled to find this new Harlequin Desire story.

The mouth-watering sexy Boss who shows up to shake up her orderly life was not what she'd been expecting. She thinks he's just a playboy who thinks he can charm his way into everyone's good graces, but she has news for him, she's not that girl.

Alexandra has been the 'secret weapon' at her job. She's worked tirelessly for years, burning the candle at both ends, making a difference. She's proud of her accomplishment and feels appreciated by the owner. But that was before he introduced her to his youngest son and that gorgeous asshole started taking charge. She's not going down without a fight and he's got his work cut out for him if he thinks he's going to win her over. Game on.

Woo Hoo! I enjoyed the sparks flying between these two. Especially when I was privy to her thoughts and she kinda liked it when he bossed her around. I'm excited to report that sexy Kit has a brother who laughed at his problems. A self-proclaimed bachelor that has no use for a woman. I can't wait to meet the woman that changes his mind. Game on.
