Facing our current world with all its problems makes it all the more necessary to read this heartwarming, uplifting novel. Sam and his son leave the U.S. after his wife’s death to start over in London. Moving on to Christmas Street, Sam tries to make friends with his diverse group of neighbors, as Teddy befriends the “street” dog, Jack. The development of the relationships between these neighbors, and the personalities of Sam and Teddy, are the reasons to read this book. You will love it. Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity.

I loved this book so much that I went and bought another of Ivy Pembroke's book. A gentle story that made me laugh and cry. Amazing how realistic all the characters were and how much I wanted a happy ending for them all. I could happily read this book again. If you want a lovely read dive in to find out about Sam, Teddy, Bill, Pari, Max and the others not forgetting Jack.

"If jack had to tell you this story ,he'd tell you. This is a story about the things you think you'll never lose in life, the things you do lose, the things that get left behind accidently or on purpose.but it's also a story about the things you think you'll never find in life.the things you do find. The things that get left behind by others that you pick and make into yours, jack had a family until the day he didn't and then what jack had was a street.jack lost one family but gained many more. Jack was a special dog. When bill first moved to Christmas street everyone got along and shared milk and sugar.now there are flamingos in the yard and almond milk. Jack was bills best neighbor.I liked how bill and everyone else cared for jack. He was the best character.
