I’ve read another book by this author duo and loved it and couldn’t wait to jump into this one and it didn’t disappoint. Kept me engaged from start to finish and not gonna lie, that plot twist had me sitting up straight in surprise, and I stayed up late to finish reading it

Phew. This was intense. An amazing start to a new collaboration and a new series. A story and characters that grab you from the start and linger on your mind even after you finished reading. Memorable. Magically crazy. Wonderful.

Peyton was such a sweet and snarky heroine. Warm and open-hearted – and with that the total opposite to the hero. Because Rutledge … boy, was he distant and brooding. A tortured soul with jerk and caveman tendencies and a really, really foul mouth – just about the perfect mix to be my type of book boyfriend – even though I wanted to strangle him more than once. An alpha who has lots of demons to battle – demons that broke my heart. And on those rare occasions he turned on his charm and smexy … I was done for. Swoon!

Their first encounter was all but smooth – it was bumpy and kind of ugly, but once they started to turn up the heat things got … fiery and passionate. Peyton’s devotion for Rut, to help shoulder his burdens, her ability to be there for him and always know what he needed the most was the most beautiful thing in this whole story. A heroine with a heart of gold.

Throughout the whole story there is this underlying simmering tension and suspense to keep you on edge and have you devouring the book. I cannot wait for more!

What happens with Peyton Morgan hates her job, hates her new boss and drinks too much wine? She buys a house sight unseen on the internet. The one thing she didn't bargain for was the owner, Rutledge Raines. Peyton sees the house as a place dreams could be made. Rutledge wants it gone and along with it the nightmares and demons that haunt him. Happy summers with his Grandmother destroyed by events outside his control. So they meet and boom it's on!!! These two are the perfect sparring partners. He doesn't do relationships but as he gets to know Peyton and they work together on the house he starts to think maybe he could and maybe he could with her. She gives him a run for his money and when they get down and dirty it is oh so dirty. The sizzle factor is high with these two. Will Rutledge love and trust Peyton enough to reveal his secret. Will she stick with him once she knows or will she run? I like Rutledge Raines a lot he is so alpha male so much so that I found his arrogance and aggression too much at times. Having read Anthony Dwayne before I was prepared for his style which is a little rough around the edges a bit like Rutledge. A few things didn't sit well with me and I felt uncomfortable on occasions. Who doesn't carry a condom in their wallet/pocket if they are thinking about having sex and who has unprotected sex with someone who is obviously a player? Picking up another woman to have sex with because the one he wants isn't in town. He didn't do anything but he thought it and even if this was to show us he is serious about Peyton it's not a good look. His confrontation with the guy in the bar was scary. Not sure I would have been waiting for him when he came back with the beers. It seemed excessive. His workers were scared of him, poor Herb and poor Willy. This is how I felt and is no reflection on the quality of the book. It's well written and the story is a slow burn regarding what happened to Rutledge and there are a few twists and turns along the way. L. A. Fiore is an author I haven't read but I will be looking into reading more of her work. Peyton is adorable and compliments Rutledge perfectly and I'm sure she is responsible for bringing her to life. Who will we meet next from Ogg's Point? I wonder if it will be Max....I hope so.

After making drastic changes and decisions about her life, Peyton Morgan ends up in Ogg's Point, Maine, and meeting the sexy owner of her new house, Rutledge Raines. The attraction between them is immediate, but will Rutledge let the demons of his past threaten a possible future with Peyton?

Unleashed is an awesome book, with a story full of drama, suspense, twists, surprises, but also laughter, lighthearted moments and hot sexy scenes. Peyton and Rutledge's story took me in an incredible journey that hooked me from the first page. I love the dual POV and the crazy and hilarious banter between these them.

Peyton is a sweet and kind woman, but also very sassy, loyal and fierce. She's very hopeful and the total opposite of Rutledge. I loved how she never backed down from Rutledge and always stood up for herself.
Rutledge is a sexy alpha. He's hot and cold, a sweetheart and a jerk. He made me swoon several times but he made me want to strangle him too. He's fighting the demons of his past and tries to keep Peyton away, but he can't fight his feelings.

L.A. Fiore and Anthony Dwayne did an incredible job with Unleashed. They give us a heartbreaking and heartwarming story, with perfectly flawed characters, that will hook you from the first page. I love L.A.'s books and I loved being introduced to Anthony's writing. I can't wait to read more about Ogg's Point!

Hybrid author novels can be hard to master. This pair nailed it! I didn't feel any shift of tone or voice (which can happen, and when it does tosses me out of the world of the story completely) and this particular story would have suffered for it.

As it is, I enjoy the tension behind Rutledge's secrets and the sweetness of Peyton. I struggle hard with Rut as a human, especially in the beginning, and his obliviousness to why his character flaws might be undesirable. This odd pairing really does work well together, and at the core this romance is steamy and entertaining to watch unfold.

I would amend the assertion that 'even small towns have secrets'... being the product of a very small town I would put some good money on the fact that small towns have especially dark, nasty secrets, as evidenced here!

Another good one to put on your list!

3.75 STARS!!

Unleashed is co-written by the talented duo L.A. Fiore and Anthony Dwayne. The story is well-written, and with a plot twist you don't see coming. The secondary characters are well developed, likeable and memorable.

There is a strong, emotional connection between Rut and Peyton, and their chemistry if off the charts. However, I couldn't connect with the jerkassholehero, regardless of his torture soul. When I thought he had redeem himself from his horniness, he goes and does sh*t again.

Sorry, but the story is so vivid it feels like I'm catching someone I love, getting off with a random, while claiming to have feeling for me and not using protection while he checks if he's clean. But hey, that's just me. In addition, the ending felt to rushed!

A gripping read with the right amount of heartbreak, humor, drama, steam, angst, chilling suspense, mystery and passionate romance. An opposites attract romance, intense and entertaining.

5 sexy as sin stars!! Omg it’s been awhile since I added a book to the favorites list but this bad boy is going right there!!

This is a story of love, loss, demons, hope and lots of naughty bits!!

First of all I want to say these two main characters are like my all time favorite. Yes they both infuriate me but they make me love them all in the same sentence!!! Rutledge (never even heard that name before..I love it!) is such a little ass but in such a good way. I mean he is exactly my type of man. Ahhh I think he is my book crush of the year, maybe even EVER!! Peyton (such a pretty name as well) is fucking awesome!! I almost forgot her name just wanted to call her Peaches. I think these two are PERFECT together. And all the secondary characters were just great and fit in the story beautifully.

This book had a few twists and one twist I did not see until the very end. Good job there to both authors. This was written by two authors but let me say I had no clue. It blended like perfection.

If you can not tell I am I enamored with this book! Please everyone if you are looking for a sexy love story, with twists and turns and deep dark secrets this is it!! This book is a definite MUST read!!

Oh and I can not wait for more drama from Ogg’s Point...hmmm maybe Kinsley?!?!

**I received this book as an ARC and in return gave my honest review**

A sexy and mysterious tale. Loved every second! I adore L.A. Fiore and Anthony Dwayne writing together and hope for more books from them in the future,

ok, This took me a while.. I admit it and I do apologise but the truth of the matter is, I really didn't know what to think about this book to be honest.

I absolutely adore L.A. Fiore's other books but this just wasn't one I would EVER reach for again.
And it literally pains me to say that because I did try guys... to the point where I even re-read it twice. Yup, that's how dedicated I am to L.A Fiore's writing.
But NOPE!

I could really nit pick and point out so many things I didn't like about the book but I really can't...actually, I won't.

This book is a pass for me. The male protagonist annoyed me... sure, there were moments where I saw glimmer of hope but for the most part.. Thank You, Next!

I liked the female protagonist but sadly she wasn't enough to make this book memorable for me.

I will say this, You should read L.A Fiore's SAVAGE and OUR UNSCRIPTED LOVE. These two books are flipping beautiful... especially Our Unscripted Love. *sigh*

While you read that, I'm going to pretend I haven't read this book.

I’m fairly new to L.A. Fiore’s book and The Gathering is what had me falling in love with her writing. Once I heard she was teaming up with Anthony Dwayne to write Unleashed, I thought why not give this one a chance. Although I thought the writing was great between both of them, I couldn’t connect with the hero at all. And there were things here and there that didn’t work for me. I did find it rather enjoyable, lots of steamy scenes, but there was something about Rutledge that I couldn’t deal with at all.

This book really pulls you in from the very beginning, to be honest, I didn’t know what to expect at all. I thought Fiore and Dwayne make a terrific author duo and I’m definitely hoping they plan to write more in the future. Their writing, together absolutely works!

Peyton; I truly loved her character, she’s sweet, feisty, takes chances and just has a heart of gold. She’s definitely the woman to take Rut down a few pegs. When it comes to Rutledge, I don’t mind an alpha here and there, but he became a bit overbearing and he’s definitely a player. A bit of a jerk if you ask me, but it was to be expected since he constantly gives that off. And I kept wondering what the conflict was going to be between them. It’ll remain a mystery about this broken man for most of the book, but once it was revealed, your heart will definitely break for him. Despite everything that he has endured, I can’t say that it excuses the way he treats women, period. I was so nervous that he was going to treat Peyton the same way because she is definitely the light to his darkness. And the last thing she deserves is to be screwed over by someone she has deeply fallen for.

I truly enjoyed this but didn’t love it as much as I hoped. The writing is top-notch, but the lack of connection with the hero had me at an impasse. I am so looking forward to the next release by this new author-duo!

Wow! This is one sizzling read! I know to expect spectacular, complex characters and thrilling stories from Ms. Fiore and this story has it all. An enthralling mystery and a steamy romance in the charming small town of Ogg's Point, with interesting inhabitants and a long-held dark secret that's heartbreaking and tragic with devastating effects. A beauty looking for a new start, Peyton decides the small town life is the way to go. She finds the perfect house for her perfect new home but her run in with the owner is far from perfect. Rutledge is a dirty talking, bossy hunk with a dark side but he's such a sexy beast and too hard for Peyton to resist when he barks orders at her. Her sassy side rubs Rut the wrong way but her beauty and sweetness wins him over. These two are so hot! I'm not familiar with Mr. Dwayne but I'm now a fan. I think he probably had a hand in designing Rut's sexy beast persona. I mean really, a hero named Rut. That says it all! This is a terrific read full of mystery, intrigue, danger, romance all in a great small town setting. So many fabulous characters for future Ogg's Point stories. I can't wait for the next one! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC. 4.5 stars

Received in exchange for a honest review. I liked and didn’t like the book.
more 3.5 stars
What I like:

The sassiness of Peyton.

The kind manner of Peyton.

I love the town setting and why Peyton is there.

I loved watching Peyton evolve and come into her own.

I liked how Rutledge became more than just the horn dog he portrayed himself as in the beginning.

I love the stories of the good memories Rutledge had in the house

I love the protective nature of Rutledge

I like the passion and attraction you feel between Rutledge and Peyton.

I like the slow reveal of what happened to Rutledge and all the past with his dad as well

What was meh but didn’t impact my way of thinking about the book:

The two plots of danger going on.

What I didn’t like:

At first I downright was disgusted by Rutledge.

Rutledge and his demanding ways. I will admit he grew on me but at the beginning I really really disliked him.

What worked:

The mystery and intrigue

The story of how Rutledge figured out what was more important and how he changed and it was because of Peyton that he overcame his demons

The little bit of a story that may be continued between Peyton and Rutledge’s friends.

The coming together of the town and how not everything is always as it seems- in the town and some of its people.

The POV of Peyton and Rutledge because we get to see what they were thinking and feeling.

OVerall

I enjoyed seeing Peyton and Rutledge fall in love and come together. The story of how Rutledge overcomes his demons and sees that love is what matters is wonderful. I liked the story overall but it isn’t my favorite of LA Fiore’s and I think this is because of how Rutledge first comes off for I didn’t have one iota of respect and like for him in the beginning.

Unleashed was an incredibly written story that was jam-packed with emotions. The writing collaboration between these two authors was incredible and the writing of this story was flawless. Unleashed was a roller coaster full of emotions that you could tell that both authors put a lot of heart into this story. This was an intense story with some very heartbreaking moment within the book.

Peyton was a sassy female character that really kept Rutledge on his toes throughout the story. She was also caring and loving creating the perfect partner for Rutledge.

Rutledge was the brooding hero of the story that kept a lot of dark secrets within himself causing him a lot of pain. I really felt for Rutledge and the pain he endured throughout his life. My heart broke for him during moments within the book.

Unleashed had a lot of powerful emotions throughout the story that really grabbed my attention from the very first moment I started reading this story and stayed with me long after I finished this story. The characters were perfect for each other and the chemistry between them was off the charts. This is a definite must read that I recommend.

Rutledge wow he’s a bit of an asshole but he was funny, I really loved him as a character. The way he would get all confused about how he was feeling and then when he was protective mood. He had a dark past and I think in the prologue I guessed what had happened to him and it explained so much and all the anger he felt. I felt so bad for him so he tried his best in whatever he did.

Peyton she was such a naive character but I loved her. I did feel like with most things she always needed someone to push her, like with Tim telling her she was better than her job. I loved the friendship she had with Coda that was so nice and sweet. I also liked that Tim gave her the courage to leave her job.

The story was so gripping and it kept me hooked all the way through I really enjoyed the writing of both L.A. Fiore and Anthony it was an interesting combination and I really liked it.

I loved the humour in this story some of the one-liners in this book was so amusing. The sex in this book was written really well and you could feel the chemistry between these characters.

I loved the story I think my only thing with the story is that I did not feel like there was any need for Peyton and Rutledge have that break it felt so unnecessary for them to have it. The story could have continued without it.

Regardless I really enjoyed the story and thought it was really cute.

Rutledge and Peyton - 5 Perfect stars

While I have read Anthony Dwayne's books before, L.A. Fiore is a new author to me. So sleek and flawless was their writing, that it was simply impossible to determine where one author stopped and the other started. What a wonderful story they have written together.

This story hooked me from the moment i started reading it. Who couldn't help but want to be best friends with Peyton Morgan. Peyton was simply gorgeous, both in looks and personality. She had a vulnerability about her, but she was also strong, smart and very sassy. Who would have thought that a drunken real estate buy in the internet would lead her to be knocked over by one very arrogant, dirty talking, alpha man, Rutledge Raines? He was a man who was constantly haunted by his past, a man who felt that he didn't deserve to be loved. Rut has finally found someone who fulfils all of his desires, but is his past going to rear its ugly head and ruin everything?

Fiore and Dwayne have written the perfect story. One that will force their readers to experience the full gamut of their emotions. Throw in a bit of suspense and mystery, some wonderful secondary characters, and some hot steamy scenes, and you'll find this is a story that is very hard to put down.

I can now only hope that Max and Kinsley and Coda and Laura get their own stories. This is definitely a highly recommended read.

You know why I love L.A. Fiore so much? Because she can write anything!

The blurb alone sold me on this story, but I wasn't so sure I could enjoy another author paired up with Fiore. You see, she just has this uniqueness with her writing that I absolutely love. But, I have to be honest, this writing duo blew me away. I had no idea who was writing which part, they blended so precisely. Anthony Dwayne, you've just gained a fan.

More than anything, I love these characters. Rutledge (what a brilliant name) and Peyton were ideal for this kind of story. What they shared was deep and immense. There was A LOT going on in this story, underlying issues that sets this story apart from anything else I've ever read. The drama, how quickly it all unfolds, the complexity of it all--gosh, I'm still thinking about this story though I finished it days ago.

Unleashed was nothing less than amazing and if you're looking for different, this is certainly the one you should read. With characters you won't forget and a plot so well-developed, you're mouth will be hanging open long after you've finished.

This is one of those situations when the two authors are so well matched that they create the MASTERPIECE. Seriously - Unleashed is such a damn good book that you can’t put it down. The plot draws in from the first page and with every read sentence you want more and more, hoping that you will never reach the end. I'm delighted!

Peyton is a dreamer. She has the idea in her head to find a place for herself in a small town and grow roots there. Thus, when she finds an advertisement in which the house out of her dreams is for sale, she impulsively decides to buy it. Making this decision is facilitated by the fact that her work is becoming increasingly frustrating. When Peyton goes to Ogg's Point to see the house, she meets his owner.
Rutledge is an incredibly handsome man, but he is also rude, broody and we can honestly call him an asshole. However, when the two spend more time together and get to know each other better, we learn that Rut is also caring and has a golden heart. However in the depths of his soul demons are hidden. Trauma from the past still makes itself felt, especially at Ogg's Point. Will he be able to overcome them? Will he find his home at Peyton’s side?

Gaaaah! How I love Rutledge character! The authors created a perfect alpha-hole that can’t be not loved! His dominance, brooding and general attitude were so sexy. His protectiveness of Peyton made me swoon. Can I keep him for myself? ;)
Peyton, in turn, is such a good person that you dream of being in her company. She’s a best friend material.

The two together ... I still blush at the memory of the scenes contained in this book. Saying it was hot is the understatement of the century! The chemistry between Peyton and Rutledge is off the charts and they are so perfectly matched that you cheer on them with all your strenght!

LA. Fiore and Anthony Dwayne made a really good job on this book. I’m full of admiration for their talent and I can’t wait for the next parts in the Ogg's Point series!

Intense, emotional and passionate. The build up, the drama and the seductive slow burn, had me completely enthralled in this story. This read was full of drama and toxic gut wrenching twists that show the ugly parts of passion.
Sounds confusing?
The brilliance of this story for ME, was the character development. They were not always likable, and frankly their actions felt like a punch to the gut to me. The characters were raw, realistic and gritty. The hero was a real douche but he grew on me as he struggled to redeem himself. The heroine was feisty, and fiery. Their chemistry was combustible and their banter was full of steam and humor.
Secrets, betrayals and broken promises made this a smart and intriguing story, even though the ending felt somewhat rushed.
Nonetheless, I cannot wait to see where this story takes the reader next.
4.5 stars!

Unleashed was a wrecking ball to my heart. This story excited, shredded and debilitated my thoughts throughout the whole book. It was intense, freaking smouldering and suspenseful. I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and held onto my seat until the very end.

This story drew me in from the very beginning. Peyton is a beautiful, vulnerable and a spontaneous woman who has no idea what is coming her way when she sets eyes on the arrogant, hot Rutledge. He is everything she has never seen or felt before and when they do collide get ready for hot explosive scenes with intense feelings and heart wrenching scenes.

This story flowed seamlessly and the layers that were unfolding, especially towards the end just leaves you in shock. I do recommend this read to readers who love fast-paced, adrenaline-charged scenes, with a story that breaks and mends you at the same time.

An intense love story between Rutledge and Peyton. Love all the twist and turns and my heart broke for Rutledge. Loved seeing Peyton heal him.
