I'm a sucker for love stories where the main characters start out as childhood BFFs. Noah and Maren's story is one that many can relate to...the falling out of friendship and love, only to have a second chance.

I enjoyed this book. It was well written and the story line kept my interest.

P. Dangelico characters come alive on every page and will just steal you heart. This is what happens with this book. It’s fantastic.....captivating......sexy.....tantalising....steamy romance that will have you begging for more. Loved it! Totally recommend

If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. This was my first read by Ms Dangelico and not my last! I LOVED this book! The characters were complex and well written. There was more than one storyline going on and they all died in well together. Then angst between Noah and Maren was well written and emotional. I don't like cheating books but this one time kinda worked. Keep it up and I'll keep reading!!

What a great read. I have never read anything by this author before and i found it not only well written but paced extremely well. The author did not give to much away at once. even at 80% in I was still learning new things to keep the story moving. "Wait till someone boom boxes you then jump his bones" this may be my favorite line in the book. There were so many! the support cast was great. With the story not being about them you still learn enough to like them or have opinions on them. I'm looking forward to her next book featuring Bebe. I think that will have me laughing out loud. I'd also love to see the next phase in their lives post the epilogue. SO SO many directions. I will be recommended this book to friends. It's a unique story line that kept me reading and that's so hard to do lately! Love Love Love! Not what I was expecting when i first read the description and I was pleasantly surprised.

Tiebreaker by Dangelico is the read of the season. The pain and love between Noah and Maren was real and gripped me at every moment. Each chapter is delicately tied together giving each POV with not only the present but also the past. It was not an easy story to tell: the story of love lost by cheating, but Dangelico found those heart strings, even the ones I didn’t know I had, and pulled them hard. Noah spends a decade making up for his mistake and Maren buries her misery in her career. Although there were other characters in the book, these were the two most developed, aside from Marens’s sister. BeBe, Maren’s sister has her own story to tell and I was giddy to see the next story is just that. A slight but not major cristism, the ending caught me by surprise. The films and note were unnecessary. I thought it was a bit strange. The camping scene needed a bit more carefully threaded dialogue. Maren’s actions weren’t quite justified and were off her character from earlier. What was she thinking as she confronted and then lunged for physical contact? And why did Noah remain so hesitant? The films are too far fetched for that. Minor grammar issues towards the end of the book. I also found some incorrect hims/hers but all minor.

This was so good!

I 've only read a few books from this author but every book keeps getting better. I m really enjoying her. I was looking forward to reading this book with it being second chance romance. And I wasn't disappointed I think this might be my favourite book from this author so far. I was hooked from the start. I really liked Maren Murphy she is a really strong woman. Playing professional Tennis isn't easy but getting injured and then her grandfather dying all around the same time was just hard. This poor woman just kept getting kicked and just to make it worst she has to go back to her family home the place she never goes to. The memories she has of home isn't great but she has to go back and face the music. It wasn't goin to be easy but she had to do for her grandfather.

I don't know where to start with Noel Callihan. He's gorgeous sexy covered in tattoos he's just wow. But he was horrible to his best friend and girlfriend. The regret he had never left him. Now this woman is back and he has to spend time with her after her grandfather and his business partner had it it in his will. To Maren this was awful but to Noel this was a time he might be able to make things right. It wasn't goin to be easy but he has to get his best friend and girl back.

This book was so good I enjoyed it from start to finish. Maren is brilliant I luv how strong she was and this woman can hold a grudge. But this is what I luv about second chance romance. I hate it when the heroine lets the guy away with it so easy. And what Noel did she needed to make him work for forgiveness. But even after years apart the connection was still strong maybe even stronger. I did luv them together but when they were younger he did give Maren a hard time but the luv she had for the guy didn't matter. She luvd him and would do anything for Noel. I did also luv Annabelle Maren's sister he is a great character. I m dying for her book. I know it's goin to be great just from this book. I would highly recommend this book it was so good. I m so glad one of my friends recommended this author to me. I'm looking forward to more of her book.

This is the second P. Dangelico book I’ve read and she is definitely an author I want to read more of! Both of the books I’ve read have been great. Tiebreaker is a fantastic second chance romance with the most delicious slow burn.

Maren Murphy fell in love with Noah Callahan when she was just a kid. The only thing she loved as much as him was tennis. For the longest time, they were best friends and that’s all. Noah was a few years older than Maren, but when their time came, Maren and her best friend, the boy next door, became a couple. Then the unthinkable happened. Maren was hurt deeply, betrayed in the worst way by Noah, and she left town to pursue her tennis career.

Maren thought nothing could get her to come back home, but then her beloved grandfather died. As Maren is home, Noah is there and he’s different than they way he was 10 years ago. It’s very apparent that there is still a spark between the two. But Maren is unforgiving. What Noah did to her hurt and she’s not sure she’ll ever get over it. But it’s also apparent he’s changed in a big way.

I really loved Noah and I believe Noah really loves Maren. Maren is a little stubborn and snarky, but it’s totally understandable. Even with their past and all that was going on, I really rooted for these two to be together. But, lets get into why this isn’t a 5 star for me, because there is a reason… Overall, I did love it, though. Yeah, I did have little issues with how certain things were handled, but I still felt like it was an amazing romance and I really felt the love between these two. Forgiveness is hard, giving people second chances is hard, but sometimes you can’t deny true love.

Tiebreaker is a book I would recommend if you love sports romances, second chance romances, slow burns, snarky reads, and those fun hate to love romances.

"She’s vowed to hate him for all eternity. He’s vowed to love her forever. Can a second chance be the tiebreaker?"

2 Stars.
When I applied for the arc for this title, I was hoping to get a really wonderful, heart-breakingly beautiful second chance romance (see For You/Golden Trail/Walk Through Fire/Rock Chick Reckoning by Kristen Ashley) but this one just didn't do it for me!

Don't get me wrong, there were definitely aspects of the book I enjoyed, such as Maren's sister (who was actually my favourite character) and the explanations of her grandfather, Rowdy but the rest of the book fell short for me. Here are the following reasons why:
- I feel like there wasn't enough of a redemption for the H. He did a freaking awful thing and in no way does it appear as though he atoned for it and he didn't go out of his way to show Maren that he'd changed (saying 'I've changed' and owning a successful business says nothing about this). For this reason, I felt that Maren was settling for her memories of him, because I don't feel like he did enough to show her who he was and that too much of the book went by without explanations, making the end feel rushed.
- Maren's family did a pretty crappy job of explaining why they never went to any of her matches - I mean, she was in the Wimbledon finals for crying out loud and they didn't ever seem to support her. And even when she is in town, her parents don't seem to really take advantage of changing the way things have been, which left me sad for Maren again.

I just don't feel like this was that great of a romance novel, because I didn't feel happiness as much as resignation when the main characters got together in the end.

I'm definitely going to read the next book in this series, but this one just was not for me.

Dangelico is definitely an author I will be reading more of this year. I was completely sucked into this book about a professional tennis player who returns home after the death of her grandfather which means facing the boyfriend who broke her heart in a very devastating way. A slow burn, second chance story about two people who have loved each other from childhood that has some heavy angst, this book just would not let me put it down.

Maren Murphy has just been dealt two devastating blows in less than thirty minutes. She’s just been knocked out of the U.S Open with a fracture to her wrist and now she learns her grandfather has died. On top of that he’s made her executor of his will, or so she’s been told. Feeling burned out Maren decides this break from tennis, training, and her boyfriend Oscar who seems to be more interested in her trainings and matches than her loss might be just what she needs. However, going home means facing her past, facing Noah, the man who taught her all about infidelity and heartbreak.
Noah Callahan has been dealt some pretty tough blows in his life. He lost his parents tragically, he was well on his way to the NFL but an injury stopped his dream before it even started, he lost the woman of his dreams and in turn became the town bad boy. Noah’s all grown up and has turned his life around and he’s got one shot a showing Maren he’s not the damaged boy who drove her away.
This is the second book in the It Takes Two series; and it book one I was hoping Noah would get his story and here it is!
Maren and Noah’s story required some flashbacks, normally this drives me crazy but in this book, it worked. I didn’t find myself confused as to if I was reading the past or the present. One of the things I really liked the flashbacks was their story was so stinking cute! So, you know right off the bat that at some point Noah was unfaithful to Maren, but you never really get the how or why. Normally in this situation there is a build up to the why and the how and by the time you get to it your so sick of the author eluding to it that you don’t care anymore. So not the case here. There was just the right amount of curiosity to keep you going. I enjoyed the pace in this book as well. I loved the supporting characters as well. The banter between Noah and his two best friends Dane (who’s story we met Noah in), and Jermaine was hilarious and Maren’s sister Bebe was a firecracker!
Everything about this book was really enjoyable; the information Maren receives during the confrontation with, Crystal, the woman Noah cheated on her with made your heartache for Noah. Noah opening up about what really happened and how the aftermath affected him, Maren’s letters from her Grandfather Rowdy all were perfectly translated. If I could have changed one thing it would have been more of Noah’s POV.
In book one I was anxious to read more about Noah and Levi. Levi wasn’t mentioned in this book and I’m still curious about him; but Bebe…. wow, I can’t wait to read more about her and there seems like there could be a story behind Crystal as well.

I LOVED Tiebreaker. It was hilarious at times and the story was just so insanely good. You just become enthralled with the characters in Tiebreaker. Each one has such great chemistry with the other. They all cracked me up. I cannot wait for book 2. I know it’s going to be so good!

This story takes you on the journey that is Nate and Maren . From when the first meet when children to when Nate ultimately breaks Tess heart. And how he can win her back.
I really loved this love story. Nate and Maren are the cutiest best friend turn into lovers love story... I appreciate the way the story flipped from past to present. I felt and could understand both side of the situation. The supporting characters were beautifully rounded and integrated into the story. What I truly loved is the accuracy with the cover. Absolutely loved that! I truly enjoyed this read and I was 100 present rooting for Naoh and Maren.

Tiebreaker is a second chance romance that follows Noah and Maren as they are unexpectedly reunited after years apart. They have a rough history, young love ruined by betrayal, and overcoming that takes some work. I like the characters and the flow of the story. The chemistry between them was really well done. There is a lot of hurt and history that these two have to overcome but they are able to work through it. I appreciated that the author really seemed to work them through their past. Sometimes these storylines are easily rushed through when it comes to repairing heartache but I felt like these two really worked at overcoming the past and forging a new future. It was clear that Noah was not, now as an adult, anything like who he was as a teen. Maren is a great character as well. I really liked her.

The story did lose me a bit when the details of the situation from the past were revealed. The way it happened, the things said, and the public humiliation element really took away from the first 75% of the story or so. It does make it hard for you to like Noah for a while. I'd say that one part alone dropped a star from my rating and it was hard for me to reconcile the character I had been rooting for with the one who did some pretty terrible things. In the end, I was glad to see them together but I didn't end up liking Noah as much as I thought I would.

If any cheating is an issue for you in books then I'd suggest passing on this one. While it happened in the past and isn't a current situation between the characters, a lot of the story centers around the betrayal and how they overcome the effects it left on them. If you are on the fence I'd say give it a try.

I was a little unsure how I would like this story as cheating storylines are not always my cup of tea. However, I did like this book and am glad that I gave it a try. I'd rate it a solid 3.5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a copy of this ebook for review. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own personal opinions on this book.

The story opens with professional tennis star Maren Murphy getting injured at the U.S. Open, now having surgery and her wrist in a cast she receives a call from sister telling her that there grandfather has passed and she has been named the executor. Needing to leave London for Oklahoma she is not in the mood one to be fighting with her boyfriend slash trainer, and going back home to Oklahoma and reliving well everything. What she does not know and only finds out when she goes to the attorney’s office is that her grandfather Rowdy has become business partners with her former boyfriend and really the only guy she ever really loved since the age of ten. Noah Callahan, who has been in love with her since the age of thirteen. When they did finally start to date it is what she and him both thought it would be. That is until things begin to happen in Noah’s life, big things and when the last thing is a horrible knee injury he turns to not only alcohol but now drugs. She is not only a rising star at the University of Oklahoma but now other schools would like her to transfer for she is one of the top racked in the nation. Wanting to stay and help or fix Noah they break up and she leaves and is gone for ten years, now she is face to face with the man she once loved and ten years ago vowed to hate forever. There break up was not so good when you read about it yikes. Now having to work together she is slowing seeing him again as he was all of those years ago, but when asked why he still won’t tell her the real reason for why he did what he did? Frustration is beginning to mount in her between Noah, her family, wanting to get back to tennis, her ex or not and of course the death of her grandfather. When she finds out the reason for his partnership with Noah it bothers her some, but then a letter also talks about why he asked Noah to do what he did and this brings another round of hurt and disappointment. Can she overcome these last ones and start fresh? Who knows, what I do know is that this is a wonderful story from the beginning to end with very good characters and has just enough twists and turns to keep you wondering from one page to the next. Very much worth the read.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by Netgalley)...

I loved this book so much! I love a good second chance romance especially when the hero has to make up for a major no-no.

Maren and Noah knew they were soulmates when they were kids, but unfortunately some tragic events took place which pushed them apart. I will not lie I wanted to hate Noah and for most of the book I did, but everything was not what it seemed. I would have loved it if Maren gave him an actual junk punch; however, I can not dismiss that woman made him work to repair the past he broke.

Side note: I didn’t like Crystal, but I loved Charlie :)

I absolutely adored the epilogue, it was so sweet but now I want to know who won? Hehe

I must say Maren’s little sister, Bebe, was completely endearing as well as nuts and I can’t wait to see what lies ahead of her; perhaps something with Chief Axel Brandt ;)

We also get to see some glimpses of Dane and Stella from The Baby Maker.

Tiebreaker is the kind of book you pick up on a whim. Whether it's the sexy cover or the blurb that lured you in. But you had no idea that they would take a piece of your heart!

I would say it's false advertising...but that's not true. The cover leads you to believe nasty, filthy thoughts (they are included). The blurb makes you smirk and say game on (an unavoidable side effect with competitive people). What they didn't tell you is that P. Dangelico is hiding a sh!t load of amazingness. (It's totally a word.)

Tiebreaker is a heartbreaker. It is unrequited love. It's the one who got away. It's a lifetime of pain. It's unconditional, unbreakable love. It's a battered heart. It is pain but it's also love at its most guilless. It is a beautiful and often cracked heart. It is everything you hope for and long for in a romance novel. Because when it really comes down to it, we need the nifty gritty hurt to feel the all encompassing love. We need the proof of terrible to understand and appreciate the awe inspiring. Tiebreaker is all of that and more.

I started this book knowing nothing about tennis. In the book, I learned love means zero. As you read, you too will find out, that except for tennis love never means zero.

Okay, I've finished and I got a lot o' thoughts. Like I mentioned before I read the book, it really grinds my gears when people leave 1 star reviews for books they haven't read. That's just rude. I totally get not wanting to read a book, but that's just plain not nice.

I don't love cheating in books. If I know a character cheats on another character after they've committed to each other, I won't want to read it. Of course, there are exceptions - like when it happened in the past when they were young and stupid and it's a second chance romance. Honestly, I'd rather there are no OW/OM mentioned at all after the two main characters have met. I would rather a plot like this - second chance romance and the reason they broke up was because one of them cheated - vs a man whore hero who sleeps with every woman in sight.

A note on cheating - I read a review once, on another book I think, that if you tolerate cheating in books you tolerate it in real life or you have never been cheated on. And, scuse me but that's a crock of shit. You don't get to judge other real life relationships, if there is cheating and people choose to stay together it is 1) none of your business and 2) not your relationship so you have absolutely no idea what's going on. And yes, I've been cheated on. I have broken up with the cheater, I've stayed with the cheater. I read romance for my guaranteed HEA, but I still like my books to be realistic (paranormal etc kind of stuff aside). Not everyone cheats, of course, I'm not saying that a book isn't realistic if there is no cheating. I'm just saying that it does happen, and if it is not something you can handle in real life or in books, don't read it. I don't always want to read the same books with the same plot, and honestly I applaud P. Dangelico for writing this book, knowing that people would have issues with cheating, even if it's in the past.

Again, I'm not saying you have to read this if you don't want to, or if you don't like cheating in books.. I guess I'm just stuck on the 1 star ratings from people who refused to read it. That bugs me so I felt the need to get on my soap box, but I'm done now.

Basically, don't read this book if you can't handle cheating in the past. It doesn't happen in the present book-day. I would super not be okay with it if it did, but they were young, his intentions were good-ish, he was just stupid. The one problem I have with the whole cheating is this: I could have handled the cheating, it would have broken my heart, but I could have dealt with it, kind of. But goodness the way he treats her when she catches him and the things he says? Dagger to my heart, nasty nasty nasty. That was just so mean. I know it was the point, but man, I wish he didn't say what he did.

Ok, so. Besides that, second chance romance is one of my least favourite tropes, along with friends to lovers. The reason for this is because a lot of authors just go 'here's bob and jane, they love each other, but they split up 10 years ago.. they still love each other and are getting back together, now kiss!' and... while that's all good and well, it feels like a lot of telling and zero showing. I don't get to fall in love along with the characters because I'm told they are already in love, they have all this history and blah blah blah. It's the same with friends to lovers, we are told they know each other and we don't get that build up. And sometimes, when it's a second chance because it ended badly, the two characters start having sex before they forgave each other and that really doesn't work for me either. I want forgiveness and relationship progress before that happens. So. I don't completely avoid these tropes because it's almost impossible to do so, but also because sometimes, an author does them damn well and I would hate to miss a good book because a trope isn't my favourite.

Long story long, this book is one of those times it works SO well because we don't instantly get told these people love each other. I mean, we know they do, and they have all this history, but she's hurt and angry (understandably so) so they have to build that back up and we get to experience it too, and I am so there for that. In my opinion, you can really really feel Noah's anguish and how much he loves Maren. I wanted her to forgive him, but I wanted him to explain and grovel. He does explain, but he didn't grovel near enough for me. I mean, you feel his pain, he asks her if she'll ever forgive, but look - you can never have too much grovelling, ya know?

Alright. Summary: I liked this a lot, a lot, a lot. The cheating didn't bother me because it happened in the past. The way he dealt with it bothered me. I could have done with more grovelling. But. I really liked the characters, the angst, the plot, the feelings, the slow burn. I really enjoyed it. But. I REALLY NEED THE NEXT BOOK NOW PLEASE.

Also, much yes for the Say Anything reference.

I love epilogues like, I think I love the epilogues in books more than the actual books. That being said, Tiebreaker had such a great storyline that lead to a wonderful epilogue AND not only that but throughout the book she began the story of the little sister Annabelle leaving me as a reader just wanting that next book in my hands already. You gotta admire it when an author does that cause they leave you wanting to come back for more and more and that’s when you know the author is a good one. Not only that but sports romances aren’t usually my favorite but yet I was hook, line and caught with this story of Maren and Noah.

Tiebreaker is a second chance romance that had me more pissed off then loving it! I couldn't get past the history and I wanted there to be less tension, I would not read this one again!

This book was pretty much meh for me. It was just ok.

I like Maren and Noah for the most part. I just never really connected to them.

I didn't really understand Maren's relationship with her boyfriend at the beginning of the book and I never really connected with Noah's character either.

Mostly, I think this book was angsty in a way that wasn't very interesting and the secrets in the book were kind of lame and underwhelming.

I would recommend this book, with caveats.
