A second chance romance for Maren and Noah. An enjoyable and emotional read.

I am hoping there is another book in this series for Maren's sister Anabelle

DNF

It starts off with her and her boyfriend (not the hero). BF is a total douche bag. Then she comes home and Noah is douche number two. I put it down and didn't finish it.

5 Heartbreaking Stars!

Maren fell in love with Noah when she was 10, but they were best friends and that’s how he saw her and nothing more. When she was 16, he finally saw her as more than a friend and they dated for two years. But as her life was on the verge of stardom, his was crumbling. The final blow came when he breaks her heart and then she leaves Oklahoma to follow her dream. Ten years later she’s back to bury her grandfather and when she sees Noah, the past comes rushing back.

I loved this book! Yes, Noah cheated on Maren and he was a total cad ... but that is real life sometimes and to me it just makes the story that much more believable. Did I agree or like what Noah did? NO. But when a book can make you feel such strong emotions, that’s the sign of a real good book! This book made me laugh, swoon, cry and get angry. I love Ms Dangelico’s style of writing ... I have read two of her books and couldn’t put either one down. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

I received an ARC courtesy of the author through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

This is my third read from Dangelico and another five stars. She's now in my top 5 favorite authors. I absolutely love her writing style. Her slow burns get me every time and Noah and Maren were no different. Yeah, there are parts of this book that are hard to read. Do I agree with what Noah did to Maren? No. I hated it. BUT-I think he more than made up for it. He does say he's sorry, but I saw the groveling most in his actions...the tattoo, the video, the celibacy, among other things. His love for her was evident even if it was flawed. The bottom line is that I loved their story. I love the way their relationship unfolded through flashbacks and the way they slowly found their way back to each other through the stipulations in Rowdy's will. This story is extremely realistic while still being romantic and heart warming. I definitely shed a few tears and that is NOT easy to do, so kudos to the author. I loved this book and can't wait to go through her backlist.

Maren heads home to carry out the wishes of her deceased grandfather. Little does she know that her lifelong crush just so happens to be her grandfather's business partner and it's evident that the grandfather is working beyond the grave to get Maren to open up to Noah.

Maren has found success as a professional tennis player- she even has the foreign boyfriend to prove it. Heading home will require more of a commitment than she is expecting and all focus will be on Noah helping her fulfill grandfather's wishes. British boyfriend doesn't like Maran's duties back home and shows he is a true jerk. Maran soon discovers that Noah has a strong history with her grandfather and mistakes he made in the past ultimately changed both their lives- Noah is still reeling from his terrible choices.

I enjoyed this book and these two working together and coming together.

Thanks Netgalley!

Tiebreaker
By: P. Dangelico

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

Are all things as they seem?

I have become a huge fan of this author. She writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines that are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Tiebreaker is the second book in the It Takes Two series and I actually figured out that Dane in Baby Maker was the same Dane in Tiebreaker while reading the book.

Authors Blurb: She's vowed to hate him for all eternity. He's vowed to love her forever. Can a second chance be the tiebreaker?
Professional tennis star and everybody's darling, Maren Murphy is going home. Unfortunately, going home is the last thing she wants to do.
She doesn't know what's worse, being named the executor of her grandfather's estate, or having to deal with her grandfather's business partner, Noah Callahan.
That devil's spawn may have broken her young, tender heart, but this time it's advantage Murphy. If anyone's calling game, set, and match, it'll be Maren.
Re-match on.
Noah Callahan is a screw up. Well, he used to be a screw up. Bad boy reputations, however, are not easily shed.
He's been a successful business owner for over a decade. You would think the people in his hometown would've forgiven and forgotten already, but alas no.
Until his one shot at redemption walks back into his life. Maren Murphy is the only woman he ever loved--and the only one he purposely drove away.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

As the temperature drops, this is the perfect story to keep your warm! It's easy to put yourself into the protagonist's shoes and wonder how she's going to figure out if she's going to be brave enough to actually take the steps needed to make herself happy or if she's going to fall back into her default mode of playing it safe. You'll find yourself cheering along for her and hoping she follows her heart!

Very cute read, I love a story that has a lot of background between the main characters and this one had it in spades. Poor Noah he made terrible decisions with the best of intentions, I wanted to hug him and smack him at the same time.

This was like a mash-up of the movies 'Sweet Home Alabama' and 'Forever My Girl' and I was perfectly content to sit on the couch and read it in one sitting.. but, honestly, I was more interested in Maren's sister, Annabelle, than the rest of the story, so I'm happy to hear another upcoming book will feature Annabelle.

P. Dangelico excels in writing enemies to lovers romance. Then add second chance to the plot and you have a winner of a book. I really enjoyed Maren and Noah’s story. Their flashbacks to how they became friends to when they became lovers and when or how it went horrible wrong is perfectly intertwined with the present timeline.
Maren and Noah have wonderful chemistry and their bantering definitely gave me a feeling of a strong love and history. Their story takes time which I appreciate cause there’s so much hidden beneath the surface.
The humor is right up me alley so I had a good giggle throughout the story. Maren’s sister Bebe is a hoot but also has a serious side. She has been through hell because of illness which almost costed her life. Her story is next and from what I know from this author it’s going to be amazing.
Another fabulous story from this author. I’m ready for Risktaker.

4 Jump Stars

Not a fave for me. I felt the two lead characters lacked personality. Both were so bland. Her grandpa’s list really seemed like an afterthought as there were only 3-4 things on it. Bebe was the only character that held my interest. Now that girl has a story to tell!

Always a treat to read books from this author. I guess I didn't love how long Noah strings out his reason for breaking up with Maren. By time it's revealed and my distaste for reason I never fall for Noah and Maren. So, it wasn't a full out winner for me.

Noah and Maren found there forever at the ages of 13 and 10. Noah didn't realize till later that she was it for him. Maren knew all along.
Something happens (I'm not telling you what) and Maren leaves for 10 years until her grandfather dies and leaves her strict instructions in his will with for her to complete. To complete with Noah. She doesn't want to stay and complete the tasks since she is still upset and heart broken over what happened, but she does it. Noah finds it hard to be around her since he still wants her.
This is a sweet second chance at romance story.
Several times my heart broke for these two.

This is book 2 in this series but can be read on its own. Yea barely even 'see' the main characters from the first story.
I do recommend this story.

I want to be Maren!

After the death of her beloved grandfather, tennis star Maren Murphy is forced to come home to deal with his estate. Little does she know that she will also have to deal with his business partner Noah Callahan, the guy that she has loved since she was ten years old and the guy that eventually broke her heart.

I seriously loved Tiebreaker because it is so real and I especially like the part where Maren doesn’t let Noah give her any crap and has to do a good bit of groveling because he broke her heart when he embarrassed her in front of the whole school to force her to leave for California and be able to go further with her tennis career than she would have done staying in Oklahoma.

Tiebreaker is the second book in the It Takes Two series and I actually figured out that Dane in Baby Maker was the same Dane in Tiebreaker while reading the book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

🌟BOOK REVIEW!🌟 I received a copy of Tie Breaker by P. Dangelico from Netgalley, and I’m so glad I did! This new adult romance is about professional tennis player Maren Murphy. After her grandfather dies, she’s forced to return back to her hometown after 10 years, and back to the ex who broke her heart and became her grandfathers business partner in her absence.

This book was such a fun read. The characters were really well developed and every single one of them was flawed in a believable way. The romance is done well and made me gush instead of gag (we all know it’s a fine line with romance!). I laughed out loud SO many times during this read! Maren is stubborn and feisty and determined to live her best life. I would definitely recommend this book for a light beach read or even just a relaxing bit of fluff!

P. Dangelico writes some of my favorite slow burn romances, and after reading Baby Maker I was excited to learn more about Maren and Noah's story.

This second chance romance will break your heart a little, but seeing Noah and Maren work through the hurt and the pain is a wonderful story.

There is an incident of past cheating, which is something I normally do not read about. I find that I wouldn't usually be able to root for the cheater after that, but the author surprised me by writing Noah in a way that showed how much he'd grown and learned. His love for Maren shines through from the moment she steps back into town.

Though this is the second in the It Takes Two series, it can be read as a standalone.

This book completely had my heart after the first paragraph. It was almost like reading my own words and it gave me chills. I literally could not put the book down after that and completed it in one sitting. The way the P. Dangelico told the story - going back and forth in time and from Maren and Noah's POV was just riveting. I did wish that we got more from Noah's POV (especially from the timeline in the past), but I enjoyed getting Maren's side of things too. There were times when I just wanted shake both of them and tell them to get it together and stop sniping at each other and just tell the truth about how you feel, but the build-up was so deliciously angsty and tense because of their refusal to really face their issues so when it finally came to a head it was really satisfying. I was not prepared for this to be such a slow burn but it made sense as the story played out. My one minor issue has to do with a discovery that Maren made towards the end of the book that I think she let escalate way more than was necessary, but I do appreciate that it gave Noah a chance to step up in a big way and put his heart all the way out there once and for all. I truly loved Tie Breaker, it was awesome seeing Dane (and sort of Stella) from Baby Maker and I can't wait to read more from this talented author. Oh, and I also appreciate how much more meaning the cover has now that I've read the book; the attention to detail is amazing! 5 out of 5 wine glasses.
