5 Stars - Great read by new author for me & now added to my TBR author list !!

ARC received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review - opinions expressed are my own ...

This is a relatively quick read ( one sitting 4 me ) but boy did it tick a # of my boxes :

⭐️Super HOT cover - 🔥🔥
⭐️ Great characters in Talia & Casey
⭐️ Vegas setting ♦️ ❤️ 🎰 ♠️ 💰
⭐️ Chance meeting / angst
⭐️ Strong heroine with snark thrown in👍
⭐️ Lots of GREAT chemistry🔥🔥

Talia meets Casey by chance - there is an immediate attraction but she takes him as just a player - he is good looking - rich - easy to talk to - putting him in the “ too good to be true “ classification = trouble with a capital “T” 💔

Talia goes out that night with her best friend to the newest casino in town Jokers Wild - & who does she meet but Casey !! Hoping to let her good girl image loose for a bit she decides to gamble on a one night stand with Casey - she’ll never see him again - right- that’s a big fat WRONG !!!

Casey is a hot shot gambler having made millions - but Talia just might be the biggest gamble of his life !!!

I LOVED THIS BOOK !!!!

Hope to read what’s coming next from this author !!!

A big thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This was a quick read. This characters had chemistry, but Talia had major baggage. She should have gotten help. Learning to trust is hard enough without the memories of your dad holding you back. Plus she just couldn't make up her mind! To me Casey was the same one, and he is a gambler. I thought Darien was a dweeb. Overall a good read. I give it 3.5 stars.

As the temperature drops, this is the perfect story to keep your warm! It's easy to put yourself into the protagonist's shoes and wonder how she's going to figure out if she's going to be brave enough to actually take the steps needed to make herself happy or if she's going to fall back into her default mode of playing it safe. You'll find yourself cheering along for her and hoping she follows her heart!

I received a free ARC version of the book in exchange for a honest review. All opinions are my own.

The book was a fairly quick and enjoyable read about a gambler and a woman that hates gamblers. Seems like the a perfect opposites attract type of plotline.

I enjoyed Casey and Talia as a couple but felt that they lacked depth. In fact the entire plotline lacked alot of depth. It nice as a quick read but I am not likely to reread the book or read future books in the series. However, I am not disappointed in reading the book and would recommend it as a quick read.

There was a lot of potential in the plot but ultimately the romance happened too fast and too deep. There was no real getting to know each other or spending actual time together.
Also something about the writing was very dry, it made me lose interest in the conversations.

I really wanted to like this book, it has a great cover and premise but the characters were just not appealing to me.

Talia hates gamblers because her father was one and he always let her down. Casey is a gambler who is part owner of a new casino. They have a hot one night stand before things get complicated and Talia finds out one of her new bosses will be Casey. Problems abound until they work it all out. Enjoyable quick read without a lot of depth.

What a fun book. I'm not a big fan of Vegas or gambling myself and I see where Talia gets her dislike for it. But with someone like Casey I can see it's appeal

One Night Gamble is my first book by Katherine Garber, but not my first from Entangled/Brazen Publishers. Brazen Books are contemporary romances with men you want to be with and women you want to be. They are fun, quick reads with high heat. Always enjoyable.
One Night Gamble is part of a new series about the owners of the Jokers Wild Casino in Las Vegas. The owners are three best friends who go way back. Casey Waltham, Darien Mitchell and Nicolas Pine met through the foster care system and have had each other’s backs since then. This book is Casey’s story.
Casey meets Talia Spencer multiple times in the course of a couple of days and cannot pass it off as coincidence. He knows it is fate. Talia finds out Casey is a gambler and wants nothing to do with him. Her father was a gambler who broke her heart and left her debts she’s just finally almost paid off. Their story is about taking chances on the biggest gamble, love.
I look forward to the next story in the series which appears to be about Nicolas since a quick peek is included in the epilogue.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC

Talia wants a bit of fun, and when she bumps into the same man three times in the same day, she decides to take a chance on him. Too bad he ends up being her new boss - despite her dislike of gambling and gamblers will she give him a second chance?

Really looking forward to the rest of this series!

One Night Gamble was a quick but fun read. As long as you can look past the unrealistic start to the plotline (nobody goes to party at the place they have a job interview the next day) and the at times awkward dialogue. Those things aside, I enjoyed the story and hope some of the side characters that were introduced get their own books.

This book was an enjoyable story but if you are looking for some depth keep looking. This is the story of Talia and Casey. They both live in Las Vegas. Casey and his friends have their own resort and each guy has their own specialty. Talia is someone they end up hiring after Casey knowlingly has a one night stand with her.

The work thing was not a big deal until Casey's friend object. At taht point the book gets silly because he objects because it distracts him from work. I liked this story as a whole. The characters were fun and the storyline moved fastly. I just didnt like the big break up I guess you can say.

When Casey and Talia hook up, they both think it’s going to be for one night only. But one night doesn’t seem enough and learning that they are boss and employee puts a damper on any future plans. Now they need to figure out how to make a life out of a one night stand and that is proving harder than they though possible.
I enjoyed reading one night gamble. Casey and Talia both have believable issues related to their parents, and working those out is important if they want a future together.
One night gamble is a hot and sweet read, and I would definitely like to read Nick and Darien’s stories.

Wow! Best book I've read in a while!! This is Talia and Casey book, Casey and his childhood buddies are opening a casino in las Vegas called jokers wild! Talia needs money very badly to pay back a loan shark from her gambler addicted father's past ! She gets a job at jokers wild! Before she met the owners she had a one night stand with a hot stranger and you guessed it! It ends up being Casey one of the owners at her new job!! This book had everything!! It was so hot 🔥some heartache, heartbreak, some drama, and loads of funny parts! I seriously can't wait for more! I'm so excited it's going to be a series!! Gah!! I can't wait! The only thing I didn't like was I wish it was longer!!! Lol thank you Netgalley and entangled and the publishers for sharing this book with me! I'll say it again! I think entangled puts out the best books ever!! I've definitely gained a new author to read!

*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.” I’m sorry, I could not finish this book. DNF at 25%. The dialogue was strange and cringeworthy, random even. And the premise is good, but not well executed. If more editing is done I might finish it one day. The heroin desperately wants a job, and gets a final interview the next day in the morning. So instead of preparing and getting some rest to go well and hopefully get the job, what does she do ? Goes out at the cassino she is applying to work! And fine, you could say she just wanted a break, grab a beer and then go home, but no! At this cassino club, she sees the same guy she met at a grocery store earlier that day and decides she wants to spend the night with him, at his place! Because of course, you just have a job interview the next morning, so no big deal. I didn’t like the writing style, and the plot needs to at least make sense, right? I just could not read it any longer. Besides, what club plays Pitbull, Afrojack and then Ed Sheeran’s Perfect?

This is a sexy and engaging tale that I just loved. Casey is the self made man who pulled himself off the street by gambling and becoming a very successful poker play, while Talia is the throw away child of a gambler who lost everything important. When they first meet, the sparks fly and they embark on what both thought would be a one night stand. The next day, Talia shows up to interview for a job at a casino that Casey co-owns with his best friends. What could go wrong, right?

I especially loved the moments where Talia's grandma was involved - she added some depth and character to Talia and her back story.

While, at times, this book felt very formulaic, it was still a thoroughly enjoyable novel and I look forward to reading more by this author. If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book

One Night Gamble made such a compelling argument for me to not finish reading it:

All of the characters thought so highly of themselves through their selfish thoughts, yet were deeply insecure and so dang boring because of this disastrous combination. Even the premise that initially made me want to read this book (meet-cute where Casey meets Talia while she is purchasing condoms for her grandmother) was so dull, with no memorable one-liners or reasons for me to wonder why these two individuals should be together. There was not heat, no connection or even a slow build between Talia and Casey and my experience reading this novel was very much swayed by this lack of excitement twofold.

The conversations between Talia and Casey were not realistic and mediocre, example provided: ‘Do you believe in fate?’. Gems like these dropped throughout the book and my gag reflex is now out of commission because of it.

The complete unreality and plain dumbness of the characters knew no bounds— Talia did not realize she was hooking up with a gambler named Casey, even after Casey introduces himself by name to her on the way up to his penthouse inside of the hotel that he co-owns? Hard to swallow that non-explanation.

If you’re in the mood for sex scenes with cringe-y cliché one-liners as a post-coital follow-up embark on a One Night Gamble, better read as a one-night-stand, you don’t know what you’re gonna get until it’s over.

I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Casey is lucky with cards, not so much in love. Talia seems to just be plain unlucky. Fate definitely has a hand in these two coming together. One Night Gamble, is an easy going romance. I really enjoyed it.

You don't need to tell Casey things twice, “better,” she admitted. “Now the pants.” He had his pants off so fast she almost laughed, but she was hot and horny for him and needed him now." Casey is such a thoughtful guy, “perfect. Why don’t you go shower? I’ll have everything ready on the balcony when you come back down. I had some clothes put in the closet in your size,” he said." I liked this book, I fell in love with Casey.
