Wow so many twists and turns, one excellent read that kept me up because I just couldn’t put it down, This book was a page turner well written with great characters....... if I had more than 5 stars I’d use them

What started off as a plane high jacking turned into a trafficking ring was a little different; for me a bit confusing in the first two chapters. I wasn’t sure where we were headed. But I soon understood and really enjoyed the story.

The dialogue between Graham and Mickey was very realistic and steady to where you didn’t miss a beat. They were spot on.  The chemistry was there right from the time they met on the plane. You could tell that there was a live spark.  The characters were both strong when needed and vulnerable when needed. Mickey was portrayed as a strong women yet when she fell apart she showed the strength of a strong women but also the need to have someone to lean on. The perfect embodiment of what a woman is.

I really enjoyed the adventure of the story along with the entertainment value of the story. It was a bit overwhelming at times with the basis of the storyline. What with the kidnapping young girls. It was a hard subject to deal with at times but Ms. Haas wrote it with a lot of empathy so that it was easy to deal with. She put it out there that this was a problem but wrote it with a gentleness that made it easier to deal with.

Graham and Mickey were always a step behind so you knew that finding everyone and righting the wrong was inevitable.

Along with well thought out characters the background and descriptions were easy to visualize. I enjoyed this story from beginning to end. It kept me guessing while keeping me entertained.

I’m impressed this is the author’s first published book. The writing, flow, and pacing are all well done. The momentum is fast from the first page. The plot idea was suspenseful with several coincidences to keep me on my toes to find the connections.

Aside from those mechanics, my primary issue was I didn’t like the h/Mickey which made it increasingly frustrating as the story went along. Not liking her led me to also not feel a connection with the H/Graham, who I did like. Mickey started off strong then became needlessly reckless, inconsistent, impulsive, and senseless. She lacked self-awareness about her selfish actions and her defensiveness veered her right into TSTL territory. She became the cliche girl in the horror movie who leaves the house or car when she’s told to stay put. Girl, you gonna die.

Overall, I’m impressed with a promising new author and looking forward to her development.

2.5

Mickey is a flight attendanct who ends up on a hijacked plane with FBI Agent Graham Grassi. As if living through that ordeal isn't enough, she finds out that her goddaughter has been kidnapped. Graham doesn't believe in coincidences and starts to investigate Mickey.

Good interplay with the characters. I liked how Mickey struggles with trusting Graham, given that she's under investigation. Some pieces were a bit silly when Mickey goes out to solve the crime on her own and ends up needing Graham's help.

Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Mickey O’Shay ‘s life is just about to get a little more complicated. Not only was she is the middle of a hijacked plane with FBI Agent Graham Grassi, but now her goddaughter has been kidnapped along with two other children in a suspected sex trafficking ring in Chicago. The agent assigned to the case is none other than Graham. Graham does not trust the firey red head especially since her ex-boyfriend is suspected of being behind the kidnapping. But, Graham can’t prevent himself from falling hard for Mickey despite her involvement in the case. Can Mickey and Graham work together to find the missing children and learn to trust one another in the process?

I really am a huge fan of romantic suspense and with that being said, I really set the bar high when I am reading a book in this genre. Danielle M. Haas has penned a stellar suspense with her storyline that gripped me right away. I found myself invested in the story of the three missing girls and working my mind around who can be behind the entire sex trafficking ring. Hass did a wonderful job at leaving me guessing right up until the end. She throws a few red herrings in your way and when the final reveal comes it is shocking.

I love the history of Chicago that Haas incorporates into her story. I am a big history buff and reading about the underground tunnels really held my interest and really had me wanting to go do my own internet search to learn more about the tunnels that are so richly used in this book.

While, I did love the suspense and the history part of the book, I am not sure I enjoyed the romance aspect quite as much. Graham and Mickey are great characters on their own, but together their romance did not grab me the way I wish it had. Their romance almost seemed forced and I never really felt a connection to Graham and Mickey falling for each other throughout the course of the story. I just felt like they had no chemistry together.

Bound By Danger is a gripping suspense with a lot of action surrounding a heart breaking scenario. If you are a fan of suspense then you will enjoy reading this story. For me, the suspense really is the heart of this book.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

While I liked the romance, I was really annoyed with Mickey getting in the way of the investigation. There were times, that if she had just called Graham, they could have caught the kidnappers and the one time that she did call him, she ran and hid and left the attacker! She had a gun, and she ran and hid and the attacker ran away but when she goes out other times, she is just too reckless.

I get that she is feeling guilt for bringing this man into Becca's life and feels it is all her fault. We later learn that she was targeted for her relationship with Becca. What I never saw explained (and sorry if I missed this) but they kept saying that the kidnapper broke out of his routine and gave Mickey his real name. Never saw the reason for that explained.

Lots of drama, intrigue, misdirection, and lots of action along with the growing attraction between Graham and Mickey. I know this is just a romance but an FBI agent should not be sleeping with a suspect in a kidnapping case!

The premise of this book intrigued me. The forbidden love between an FBI agent and a woman who is a possible suspect, missing girls and a white slavery ring, yeah, it sounded good. Haas is a new author for me so I was taking a bit a leap here. Didn't really pan out like I thought. It was entertaining but the biggest problem was Mickey, at times, was very idiotic. She bordered on TSTL, and I don't use that term lightly, she's a possible suspect so what does she do she interferes in the investigation, withholds evidence, contaminates a crime scene, and interferes with a witness it's a good thing Graham liked her I would have locked her up. Granted there wouldn't be much of a story without all her screw ups.

Mickey week just keeps getting worse and worse, first her plane gets hijacked only to be thwarted by a gorgeous FBI agent then she finds out her god daughter was kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend, Pete, who is a known white slaver, and now the FBI, in particular the hot FBI agent who saved the day, thinks she played a part in her god daughter's disappearance. Little Becca was kidnapped, she was the third girl to go missing what stood out in her case is that she was the only one who knew the abductor. What made her so special that Pete was willing to risk his whole operation by giving Mickey his real name? Because once the FBI had his real name they were able to piece together everything else.

Overall, it was an okay read. I didn't feel the chemistry between the two characters. The whole forbidden relationship seemed a little forced and Graham showed almost no self control when it came to her. The attraction was visceral but lacked substance. And the ending was a little predictable it still wrapped up nicely though. It wasn't bad the writing well paced, the suspense was satisfactory, and the overall plot was good I just really didn't like Mickey. I would be willing to read more of Haas' books.

the opening scene is an airplane facing a hostage situation, and right away bound by danger is upping the tension and suspense. mickey is our intrepid heroine/flight attendant and she handles the situation with the perfect blend of terror and equanimity.

when the hot fbi agent who helped her handle the situation on the plane turns up on her door, her hopes of a friendly encounter are dashed when he starts questioning her about her ex. it's soon revealed that she was dating a pedophile and overall douchebag who kidnapped her goddaughter to sell her into sexual slavery.

graham doesn't actually think she's involved, but the coincidences are a bit much. his gut tells him she's innocent, but protocol recommends he be suspicious. he also is crazy attracted to her, so his gut might not be entirely reliable.

mickey proceeds to involve herself in his investigation in the most obstructive ways possible. it's actually probably a good thing that he is so attracted to her, because otherwise her insane behaviot would be a huge turn-off.

i think my issue with this story is that the suspense aspects of the story didn't entirely work, like i feel like there were some threads left unresolved. and mickey was such an idiot involving herself in things in ways that were completely bone-headed. and while it was a fun read, there was also a lot about this that made me feel all nit-picky.

**bound by danger will publish on january 28, 2019. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of netgalley/entangled publishing (amara) in exchange for my honest review.

Being this was the first time in reading this author it was also one I was delighted to have come across. The storyline caught my eye it was right up my alley. Especially since there happens to be this special agent whom is looking into a case that gets the ole intrigue a going. Graham is that agent with you stuck to him like glue but there is also Mickey whom like me would not sit still in that situation. Going along with these two in this one you are pulled in wanting to see where this all leads. This author knows how to mix great characters with a story that captures you from beginning to end.

It was a very interesting book in my opinion. I am a big fan of suspense but there were some things that I thought was odd and maybe it's just me. He thought she was a suspect but yet was kissing her and the situation happened and the next day all was well but it is fiction so there is that. Good book otherwise.

Wow! Riveting from start to finish. Graham and Mickey face danger head on and fall in love as a result. The author keeps the reader on your toes trying to guess to villain right upon till the time she reveals it. It was a surprise well earned. The plot is fast paced and the dialogue is well developed. Get set for a wild adventure with a happy ending.

This is a fast paced romantic suspense that hooks you in right from the beginning! Mickey O’Shay is a flight attendant involved in an attempted hijacking which is thwarted by FBI Special Agent Graham Grassi. She certainly didn't expect to be seeing him again so soon but this time he's there informing her about the kidnapping of her goddaughter by her ex-boyfriend, Pete. Graham can't decide whether she's involved or not as Pete is part of a sex trafficking ring responsible for kidnapping at least two other young girls locally. The race is on to locate the girls before any serious harm befalls them but there are others involved and Mickey is also in danger from members of the ring who are wary of what Pete might have revealed to her...

The danger the young girls are in, the secrets being revealed and the romance that Mickey and Graham are struggling to ignore make this an enthralling read which keeps you guessing till very near the end. The characters are well developed. Graham is torn between following his heart or his head when it comes to Mickey. She is riled by his initial attitude toward her and is determined to both clear her own name and to rescue her beloved goddaughter. This results in some unfortunate decisions but all add to the adventure and suspense. It is a brilliant debut novel and I'll definitely look forward to reading more by this author in future!

I requested and was given a copy of this book, via NetGalley. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.

Fast paced action packed romantic suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat. The fact that this is the debut book for this author truly blows me away. Looking forward to what she has for us in the future. The writing is exceptional and the suspense element of the story is top notch. Never predictable with lots of twists that will keep you guessing. Mickey and Graham are intriguing characters with amazing chemistry even though their first meeting was a little rough. When they are brought together again after Mickey's goddaughter is kidnapped the spark between them flares to life. Overall a fantastic story with great characters. Definitely a book I recommend.

Bound by Danger by Danielle M. Haas.

5 stars.
Mickey is a stewardess on a plane someone tries to hijack. She tries to keep calm, prevent something bad from happening, she bumps into him, Graham, he says he will deal with the situation as he's FBI... Then they meet again as he's on the case of her goddaughter's disappearance. And he starts to see connections between what happened on the plane and his new case... And he tries to ignore the way he feels about Mickey...

I loved it. The way it started was great! I was on the edge of my seat on that plane with them. Scary. So much tension from the start! What a way to meet someone good looking... and to meet him again the next day.

Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for letting me read that book for an honest review. All opinions are my own! Review shared online.

Stewardess Mickey O’Shay survives an attempted hijacking after being rescued by FBI agent Graham Grassi who is impressed by her calm in the face of danger. She is shocked to find her ordeal isn’t over once she lands as her Goddaughter has gone missing and agent Grassi is very suspicious as Mickey keeps turning up during the investigation. Face paced and gripping, the only reservation I have is its difficult to believe the FBI would let a suspect get away with everything Mickey gets up to. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

4.25⭐

Bound by Danger is a great debut novel and I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future. As it was such a fast paced, action packed, engaging story. That started off with a bang and also had twists and a few surprises along the way. Not to mention likable characters and a lovely mix of mystery, suspense and romance. And I found it very hard to put down and would therefore happily recommend it to others.

I received an arc from Netgalley. Mickey is a flight attendant on the way from Mexico to Chicago when a hijacker took over the plane she was on. An FBI agent on board helps take down the hijacker and bring the plane in for a safe landing.

FBI agent Graham and Mickey had no idea that day would lead to a huge human trafficking ring and the hijacker was part of this ring.

Graham does everything he can to protect Mickey and almost loses her in the process. They find out not everyone around them is innocent in their work circles.

This was a great suspense as well as a great romantic story.
