Keeping His Siren is book 4 in the Creatures of Darkness series. It has been years since I have read a book by this author but I couldn't resist when I read the description. It is definitely a stand alone and very enjoyable. I'm not usually a fan of a relationship beginning with a deceit but Naia was the worse spy so I gave her a pass. I loved Cortez, his protective and possessiveness was something that I always enjoy. Now what didn't work for me is that the middle felt slow and some of the scenes were repetitive. Overall fans of PNR would definitely enjoy but don't expect anything new or different which was fine for me. I definitely plan to keep my eye on this author again.

I've really enjoyed books by this author before, so was keen to read this but was slightly disappointed. Naia, our heroine, is being blackmailed into spying on Cortez. This is a common enough plot device I suppose to bring two people together and keep them close, but in this case, I found her anxiety about being coerced overshadowed her growing relationship with Cortez. I liked Naia, but I couldn't relate quite so much to Cortez. The writing is good though, so if this is your sort of thing, you'll enjoy it more than I did.

Too hot for teacher. This romance sans mystery was very electric. The author weaves a tale of espionage, revenge, violence and sex into a hard to put down supernatural book. There are many twists and turns within the pages to keep the reader wanting more, in addition to the hot and heavy sex scenes disbursed throughout the book. You will want to read the other Ever Night books just too see how Naia and C's story ends.

Can I just say Wow! I was not expecting to add Kiersten Fay, to the list of authors I follow, but I have! This is amazing love story, and I can’t wait to read the next in series!!!

Keeping His Siren is the fourth book of Kiersten Fay’s Creatures of Darkness series. However, it’s a standalone.

I didn’t read the first few books but I kinda wish I did cause the the setting wasn’t exactly descriptive or believable. The book takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where vampires are known to humans and the economy is trash. We’re back in a time where cell phones are apparently a luxury and the streets are in ruins. I didn’t get that vibe. Everything we saw was very lux in this book for the most part.

But anyway the book was slow to start but it picked up when the heroine and hero, Naia and Cortez, start to get together. Naia had me in stitches! Her humor and wit was hilarious and I loved her sass. Same with a lot of the side characters. I found myself wanting to be apart of the clan lol

Naia and Cortez had explosive chemistry too! Loved their love scenes and dialogue, though some scenes were predictable at first. But this definitely unraveled into a book that I couldn’t put down. The suspense and tension was an instant page turner!

Naia asked herself what she was doing here, she wasn’t a spy. She worked as a part time singer and waitress at Dante’s Pit. She opened the door to Ever Nights and stepped in the foyer, this is like the Sistine Chapel of nightclubs. There were several rooms allotted to the different shows that went on every night for every taste. She’d visited this nightclub only a few times. Always looking for work, always rejected. Sat=ying either they weren’t hiring or were only seeking experienced top-tier acts. A position at ever Nights could sling shot hre toward bigger and better things right now though she needed some quick cash. This time she had to get hired, if only for a couple of days. So much was riding on it. The bartender was hot. The sound of his voice went directly to her knees the weakness quickly invaded the rest of her body. She never acted this strongly to a man especially a stranger. Dante wanted her to spy on Cortez - the owner and her crew at ever nights. Then she saw the bartenders fangs, he was a vampire. After she got home she passed the couch that doubles as her half -brother Cole’s bed. He must be still at work. After they paid their debt off and saved a little money, maybe they could get a two bedroom apartment. The dream was a long way off. She thought she’d get a nap but when she closed her eyes the bartender flashed before her. She hated asking for favors but she would need to borrow an outfit from Goldie. But if it would help her get a job at Ever Nights ….. Tonight she had a ten minute gig on stage, it was a much needed performance. Her vocal cords were throbbing to work it had been too long since her last gig. She shivered, recalling another time when she’d gone too long. Several years ago Naia learned she descended from an ancient line of sirens. The kind from mythology said to lure sailors to their death. Her voice was a natural ability. A natural curse. No one bit Cole knew what she was. Cole was behind the bar serving drinks. She knew they had to pay down Cole’s gambling debts. The Boyle twins were hard ass bookies and had been circling Cole like sharks for the last month. It was either pay them off or run for their lives. Since their mother disappearance ten years ago she’d done her best protecting and raising cole. He’d done his best keeping them both in the black with his talent for counting cards. That is until his luck ran out six months ago . A string of bad games had them fifteen grand in the hole . he’d never lost so badly in his entire life. The human/Vampire wars ahd ripped through the country the last century and the world couldn’t seem to pick itself back up. If naia couldn’t sing, she would weaken and eventually grow ill. She would die is she resisted too long. But she hated to suck energy from the unsuspecting . Irt made her feel like a leech, a freak, unnatural. At sixteen she tried to go cold turkey, she could remember the extreme exhaustion . She still persisted hoping to change . be like everyone else. But that had been disastrous. Terrible night when the dark took over . She awoke in the middle of the street singing her lungs raw with no recollection of getting out of bed in the dead of night. Males from the neighborhood were coming for her with lust in their eyes. Her mother later warned her she literally could have driven the men insane with her voice. Lately though it didn’t seem to be enough. She went back to Ever Night and played a game of pool against the bartender. Her body seemed to be responding to his intense attention. Cortez is attracted to her and she to him. Instead of a job they have a week long pack. Naia realizes she can’t spy on Cortez and gets a violent reaction from her boss at Dante’s Pit.
I loved this book. It had my attention from the beginning and kept it until the end. I loved Naia and cortez together. They had very hot chemistry. I loved the plot an the fast pace. I loved Cole and naia’s relationship . i would have liked more information on Naia. I didn’t want to put this down. This book had: drama, romance, suspense, mystery. Vampires, sirens, danger, large gambling debt, family, deadly enemies, action, secrets, and so much more. I advise you to read this series in order for a smoother, more knowledgeable read. I loved how Naia stepped up to take care of Cole after their mother was gone ten years ago. This was an easy read. I chuckled at times while reading this. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

I really liked this book. This is the first book by Kiersten Fay I have read, and I want to read more of them. While it is a predictable happily ever after it's a really fun book. Cortez and Naia's chemistry is in full blown mode right from the beginning of the story. Naia is a siren, her brother Cole has some bad habits that get him into trouble with very bad people. To get him out of trouble Naia has to infiltrate a nightclub owned by Cortez to find out information on him. But she never expected the attraction between them. This book does have an interesting plot, and I hope the author writes books about the other vampires, I found them very likable and I'd be interested in their stories.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for granting me this read.

Woow. The sex scenes are hot but the story lines will keep you going. Kenzi was meant to spy on Cortez her bosses rival who is a vampire, whom she ends up sleeping with. He then found out that she was sent to spy on him... Things went pretty down hill for her after that but she eventually got her happily ever after. The book left a question in my mind. What happened to her mum?

Give me a piece of very good paranormal romance where characters are reasonable and had been true in their creation. Add to it the good plot that could keep you on toes. Mix all above and I have a great pleasurable read.
Naia is a siren. Yes, a siren - siren voice. You know how it works from mythology, right? And she has to spy on Cortez, but why? What is going on? Is she strong enough to go thru with the plan?
Cortez - a clan leader, a powerful vampire. Yet little siren makes him feel more. Why is that? I loved his character with all my force for his strength and love.
I hope the next books in the series will follow up soon!

I love paranormal romances and this story did not disappoint. I enjoyed Naia and Cortez characters. There was never a dull moment when these two were near each other and I enjoyed every minute of it. Their story was one that was full of flirty and steamy moments, romance, and moments of suspense. I enjoyed this story a lot and I love it even more being that it was a standalone story because I did not read the previous books in this series. However, I definitely look forward to reading the other books, and I will be recommending this one to everyone I know that enjoy paranormal romance reads.

Keeping His Siren
Creatures of Darkness #4
By Kiersten Fay
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Naia DeVoe is a siren who never mixes business with pleasure as a rule so when she ends up with the vampire she is being paid to spy on she goes against the very rule that has always sustained her. Naia ends up making a pact if you will with that same vampire who seems very drawn to her.

Cortez is a vampire and the leader of his clan and as such he is very weary and also careful with who he trusts. He never let's anyone get close to him as a rule until he meets a beautiful siren named Naia. He is drawn to her in a way he has never been drawn to anyone. Now he has doubts as he's not quite sure if she is the one hes been searching for or if she will be just another woman who will end up betraying him in the end.

Kiersten Fay is a new author to me and one I will definitely read from again. This was a great paranormal romance. Naia was a strong character who could also be quite loving and Cortez was just a sweet guy underneath. Naia also has a brother who lives with her and he was like any normal brother. Naia and Cortez had amazing chemistry together. All in all it was a good book and I enjoyed it.

Holy Hades is it hot in here or what?! This was a scorcher of a book full of panty melting scenes. The chemistry between Cortez and Naia was palpable and intense. Naia, a siren, is blackmailed into spying on Cortez by her boss Dante but she falls into a scorching hot affair with Cortez and refuses to do as Dante asks. It sets off a chain of events that are devastating and heartbreaking for those involved. All works out in the end and our two lovers finally get the happily ever after they deserve.
This is my first foray into Kiersten Fay’s writing and as this is a standalone it is a good jumping off point for those that want to see if they like her work. I ended up jumping right into another book of hers as I enjoyed this so much. I highly recommend her and this book.

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed this paranormal romance. I haven't read a book about a Siren yet. This was new to me! I love Naia and Cortez's story. I really liked the story here it was different then most paranormal romances. Also it sucked you in from the beginning!! Along with a good story line there is a ton of steaminess in this story! I loved it.

Creatures of Darkness series. I read the blurb for this book and said yep, gotta read this. OMG, I loved it, and have a new author on my goto author's list. Once again, my TBR list is getting longer and longer. Stunning story. Charismatic characters. Dynamic dialogue. Saucy steam! I loved everything about this paranormal romance!

Vampires have taken over? Wait what? Okay I didn't know it was a series, so things mentioned like the War, happened in other books. But it's really fine otherwise. The main character is half Siren. Of course she falls for the hot vampire, who wouldn't want to get bit? This is no Edward Cullen though. Things get super sexy, and really bloody. Does she turn into a vampire? Hmm.The ending was perfect, not sure if there would be another book to follow. Definitely read the other books first.
