This was a great supernatural romance and I really enjoyed it. The characters are great and I liked that the plot moved fast so that it never felt like the book was a chore to finish.

Synopsis:
Naia DeVoe is hired by the owner of the night club she is currently working at to spy on a local competitor. Her task is to infiltrate Ever Nights, the hottest club in town and snoop around to see if rumors of foul play and dirty money are true. But when her interest in Ever Nights sexy vampire owner, Cortez, takes a serious turn, she begins to wonder if this man could really be capable of such atrocities.

My Thoughts:
Um, WOW! I absolutely loved this! Though this is the fourth book in the Ever Nights Chronicles, it didn’t hurt my enjoyment in the least and can definitely be read as a standalone. The transition into this future world where vampires have made themselves known to humans was very smooth, very believable/imaginable.

Half the time, I would forget that Cortez was a vampire (other than the late night necking with a certain stewardess). And while he was alpha all the way, I mean he is his clan leader and a dark brooding vampire, he has that vulnerable side that I find so swoon-worthy. The affection that he showed for Naia, without seeming like an ultimate creep after only a week, was perfect.

And while the romance between these two was perfect, there was still that added element of mystery and suspense. Naia struggling to maintain secrecy with her inner Siren, while trying to keep her brother from losing a limb or two to debt collecting gangs. When the romance takes a backseat and the action comes out to play, hold on to your seats because, man, this book had some heart-pounding scenes.

Would I Recommend:
Absolutely! Kiersten Fay knows how to create compelling worlds and steamy couples. Keeping His Siren has made me a fan!

Keeping His Siren by Kiersten Fay is book 4 in the Creatures of Darkness. This is the story of Naia and Cortez. I haven't yet read the previous book, so for me this was a standalone book.
Naia is a Siren and Cortez is a vampire. When Naia is talked into trying to get a job with Cortez to spy on him she goes forward to try for the money that would be paid to her. Cortez is attracted to her and Naia to him...so instead of a job they end up with a week long pact. But the longer Naia is around Cortez she knows she can't spy on him which sets off a violent reaction from her boss.
Enjoyed their story.

Naia is a siren her singing can lure men t their deaths and when she needs to help her bother yet again she gets a job singing at a bar but her real goal is to spy on Cortez one of the oldest vampires there is Only problem the attraction between her and Cortez is off the charts Will she finish her mission or will the love she is starting to feel for her vampire derail it this is a sweet paranormal romance that really draws you in There are a few questions unanswered so I am looking forward to further books in the series

A sweet and sexy paranormal romance, with some suspense and even some mystery. I would have liked to learn more about the h, but I really enjoyed the story and will be looking for more in the series.

Naia’s boss Dante has told her to get a job at Ever Nights nightclub and ask for Cortez. She must spy for him to get the money to help her brother to pay off the Boyle twins. There is immediate heat and attraction with the bartender who turns out to be Cortez leader of the local vampire clan. Only her brother knows her secret she has to sing it will become a matter of life or death. The tension is ramped up when a rouge vampire will put them all in danger with the VEA. You will be hooked by the intensity between Cortez and Naia. There are great characters in this story and you will wish to follow them in other books.
I was given an ARC of this book by Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Really liked the book. Hot, sexy vampires, down on their luck siblings, oh, and a siren? Recipe for awesomeness. There’s some intrigue with Dante, Cortez, and Naia and what will come of her spying. I thought Naia was sassy but realistic as well. I liked that Cortez just wanted her for her. Her brother Cole was a great character too. The author really sets up the supporting characters for us to want to read more about them.

I lOVE paranormal romance and I loved this one too. Immediately after reading it, I read the Vampire's Masquerade and now I'm PATIENTLY waiting for more Ever Night books.
There are five books in the series. But the first three have a different back story than the last two, which take place in the Ever Nights hotel.
Naia was strong, loving and witty. I loved her relationship with her brother. The chemistry between Naia and Cortez was too much. Every scene with them together was exciting. Cortez was so cute. It was always funny whenever he asked Naia what was she thinking. Cole was a perfect brother, funny and a pain in the ass for Naia. His threats to Cortez and his animosity with him were enjoyable to read. The plot was intriguing. I don't know how Kristen did it, but this is the first series in which I need a book on EVERY.SINGLE.CHARACTER. If we're talking about preferences, put Dane first on the list.

A magical romance that should not be missed!
NetGalley comp'd me a copy and it looks as though this is book four in this series - but not to worry as this quite easily read as a standalone.
Naia and her brother Cole are the world to one another and when Cole finds himself in a bit of a bind Naia accepts a proposition from her boss that just might save her brother and clean up the streets at the same time - WIN WIN! Right? Wrong! Nothing in life is ever that simple.
Cortez is the intended target and all Naia has to do is get a job working for him. Not only will she help Cole but it will also give her a few extra dollars and feed her inner Siren - Easy Peasy! Not! Cortez has other plans for Naia.
Poor Naia, hurdle after hurdle seems to pop up in her way. What should have been simple -in and out -has now placed her siren at exposure and her brother's life at risk. Can Naia find a way to salvage this mess or is she destined to be just another sacrificial pawn in a game she did not even know she was playing? And can she convince Cortez that all is not as it seems?
The storyline flowed seamlessly keeping me engaged and enchanted from the opening scene to the closing dialogue. The supporting characters were brilliant - I truly hope that they each have a story. The chemistry between Cortez and Naia was explosive - Fay did such a magical job of writing these two characters. Let us not forget the mayhem and suspense that kept me a bit on edge.
I do wish I knew a bit more about Naia and Coles backgrounds but I believe that I will get many of my questions answered in past or future releases.

Although I was a bit hesitant to request this arc (the cover just looked a bit too much...), I was pleasantly suprised by Kiersten Fay. Not only did she create a wonderful and spicy story, but I really enjoyed the characters Cortez, Cole and Naia.
Naia lives with her brother Cole. She is a Siren, which means she needs to sing to people, to feed of their energy. So she performs in a shady nightclub from vampire Dante. Her brother has a gambling debt with some shady twin and in order to pay off these debt she accepts an order from Dante to spy on the competition: the popular club Ever Night. When she arrives to try to land an audition, she encounters a hot guy behind the bar. They flirt and he promises her an appointment with the boss man.
Little does Naia know that hottie himself is no other than Cortez, owner of Ever Night. Cortez is intrigued by Naia and instead of offering her a job, he offers her a night of pleasure. But one night turns into more and before they know it, Cortez and Naia fall head over heels for each other. But Naia has a secret, and maybe Cortez also isn't telling the entire truth.
When the loan sharks are closing in on Cole and dead people are turning up at Ever Night, Naia and Cortez will have to decide who to trust. Suspense, hotness and surprises everywhere. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

I have never read anything by this author, this was surprisingly good. Well written, and am looking forward to checking out more of her work.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher, I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Naia is a siren, literally! Who is working for a creep at a strip club, but she is a singer not a stripper. The owner of the strip club blackmails her into spying on the other local nightclub. Naia has no idea that it is owned by the very handsome vampire named Cortez. Will Cortez be able to forgive Naia? Will they come together after all the betrayal, and secrets? It was a great paranormal story with plenty of hot steaminess to keep you wanting more. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review after reading this arc.

A woman with a voice who can seduce and lure men to their death. This immediately captures my attention as I love to read all mythical water related creatures. My first intro into the Creatures of Darkness series, this is a great one. I'm hooked within the first few pages of this book. I like Naia. She is a determined sister who is loyal to her brother and will do anything to save him. This places her in a difficult predicament. She needs to find a job with Cortez. For readers who have read the first three books in this series, they will have met Cortez briefly. This book can be read as a standalone as it contains nothing to further Coraline's story in the first three books.

In this fourth book, Ms. Fay's writing is improved. I noticed the difference in this story as it is more tightly written with more plot and character development. There is still a good amount of sexy time. The focus is instead on Naia and her goal to earn enough money to pay their debts. What she doesn't know is how she is being used as a pawn. This story had two plots going at once which I enjoyed. I won't say I was shocked by the second underlying thread. I will say I was pleasantly surprised how all the threads came together into a complete ending. Learning more about this world and the how the supernatural creatures interact helped make this more rich. I really enjoyed the Siren element. Ms. Fay did an excellent job of blending the needs of a siren into Naia's character.

From an erotic standpoint, Ms. Fay can crank up the heat. The sexual chemistry between Naia and Cortez is smoking hot. Their sexual interludes are delicious and just a spicy enough to capture my jaded attention. There is always a bit of dominance play when it comes to vampires and it works quite well in this story. This paranormal romance is recommended to erotic readers who enjoy watching the sparks fly between a siren and her vampire.

Such an amazing story. Kiersten Fay a new author to me never heard of her but the cover and title drew me.

Character personalities on point with the storyline. Both the story and its characters full of life.

Family sticks together no matter what Nadi and Cole only have each other and when a gambling debt gets time to pay, Nadi is determined to get the job done.

I really liked the "Vampire" story a typical but told in a different way. Cortez has his own set of rules and has no intention on budging. Nadi is about to shake up his little world.

Great cover, great scenes, hot and fan-worthy sexy stuff. Toss in a bit of danger and you got yourself fab story. Enjoy

Loved this!
Totally captivating, loved the characters wich I had previously read about in The Vampires Masquerade. Cant wait to dive into the read of the series.!

Keeping His Siren is part of Kiersten Fay’s Creatures of Darkness series. Naia is a siren. A mythical being with a voice that can enthral any man. She has been hired to spy on Cortez, one of the oldest and most powerful vampires there is but from the very first she feels something for him. An attraction that is reciprocated by Cortez but how will he react when he finds out Naia’s real reason for wanting to sing in his club.

I liked this book but I didn’t love it. I felt that there was a lot left unexplained such as exactly what happened to cause the estrangement between Cortez and his sire. I realise this book is part of a series and as such, this might be covered more fully in a later book but it was the same with what happened between Cortez and Dante which, to my mind, is relevant to the story but isn’t really gone into in any depth. I also felt there was something missing when Cortez finds out that Naia is a siren but doesn’t seem to question it. I did love the secondary characters at Ever Nights and will be reading more from this series to see what’s in store for them.

This book was really good... I didn't think it would turn out the way that it did. I can wait to read the next one. The author did great!

Hell of a sweet and sexy paranormal romance, with some suspense and even some mystery. It is like sugar-kink romance with great chemistry between main characters. He is super rich and handsome and she is beautiful siren trying to save her brother. I liked them both and they were good together despite some ups and downs. I would like to know more about her siren. Naia's personality was fun and I liked how she embraced their relationship with both hands. The plot was predictable but sweet nonetheless.
