The Sun is more of a western mystery than I expected. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The story flows and the characters are interesting. This is the first book I have read from this author and hope to read more.

The Sun is an interesting little mystery story. The setting is good with western mountains. The characters are likeable and entertaining. The story is good and unfolds at a good pace. Overall a good read if you like mystery. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

THE SUN just didn't work for me. What was hyped as a novel of suspense was really a cozy mystery novel with characters straight out of central casting. Although the protagonist Bryce was an interesting character which a rich background, the rest of the characters were too two-dimensional and the dialogue too obvious to hold my interest.

I loved this book and sped right through it. I'm a sucker for any book about ranch country life and the mountains. This reminded me a bit of CJ Box's novels, but with much more money at stake. I could definitely see this turning into a series.

The Sun is a complex (in a good way) and intriguing mystery. I was drawn to the characters and their different stories. I couldn’t put this book down and read it in a few days. Highly recommend!

This was a good start to a new series by an author I had not read books from before. I look forward to reading more from them and this series in the future!
