This was a fun, different take on vampires. McLoughlin goes in a different direction from portraying them as myths/monsters and makes them into something of a fairy tale. Reminds me of something I would read from Anderson or Grimm. There's still room for improvement and some things to be answered, so I really hope that there will be some sort of sequel. Definitely recommend picking this up!
Cool different take on a vampire story written as a fairy tale type story. Enjoyed the book and was a pleasure to read.
A different take on a vampire novel. Written like it came out of a Brothers Grimm collection. Love the little touches of magic -a talking animal and a special enchanted sidekick.
The vampire of maple town is such a fantastic novel! I felt transported to another world, where Vampires and werewolves existed. I loved the story of Vincent, Charlie, Sally, Skat and Alice. The ending leaves you wanting more and dying to know what really happened ? I sincerely hope for a second book because I have so many unanswered questions ! Elizabeth? Vincent? Alice? Ahh it’s driving me crazy but an amazing, fun, enthralling novel !!
