Reading this book felt a lot like Alice must have felt falling through the rabbit hole. Beth is out looking for her missing friend Nora, who just so happens to work for the Vampire King Edward. She then meets Edward and bam, next thing you know, they're having sex in the car. Oh gee, you're my fated mate, sure, no problem.

A really short, weird read. I felt like I missed a ton of context in the beginning and the ending just plain ended.

Should come with a warning label that it's a prequel novella.

Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

This is a very short story. With that said, even though it's short the author gave some good details of what to expect in this series. My interest is peeked and I can't wait to read more from this series. This story has action from the first page and turns into sexy action in end. I felt this was a great introduction to the series, it left me wanting to read more on these characters. I would recommend reading this story first, I feel it would help you understand the start of their story.

***I voluntarily reviewed this ARC for an honest review via NetGalley, this is my honest opinion and has not been influenced by the author, Publishers or NetGalley in anyway.*** Thank you!

This took less than 10 minutes to read and, unfortunately, is one of the few things I liked about the story. This very short read took no time at all to flesh out a story or build an adequate plot. There was no character development and even less dialogue. The hero is a womanizing, abusive vampire and the witch heroine's protests of his faults lasted all of two minutes before she succumbed to his wiles because of an old prophecy that is supposed to involve her and said vampire. I didn't get it and it is unfortunate because there was so much promise but fell flat on delivery.

Decent book. Felt very fast paced and not a lot of time spent on character development. Grammar and punctuation errors found.

I feel like perhaps the author assumes that we know who these characters are since this is a prequel. I wish there was more of a build up and more of a story, rather than just two scenes that feel really rushed. Ultimately, this story left me feeling confused, but I think with a little bit more backstory that this could be really good.

This story has a lot of potential. It's a very brief back story to the first book in a series, so brief though that it could probably be added as a prologue maybe to the first story. Or potentially be fleshed out with more detail added to really flesh it out as a novella prequel to the series. It gave me just enough to be really curious about the first book in the series to want to check it out and see where this pairs story progresses to, to see what the characters are really like.

Beth wandered down an alley searching for Nora who was her best friend. Nora had disappeared two nights ago. Whens he didn’t show up for their usual friday night out Beth knew something had happened. Beth even tried to contact Nora’s boss Deward- the Vampire King, but he was seeing no one. He didn’t care his secretary was missing. Beth had seen him once and he was a playboy with a woman hanging off each arm. . His dark blue eyes took in everything in the room as he seemed to glide across the floor. Even his hair didn't have a strand out of place. He was so perfect. She had wanted to run to him and mess up his perfect image. She didn’t know why seeing him with someone else she had wanted to change than into donkeys. Beth hadn’t believed she would be here on her birthday. She scanned the last place Nora had been seen, afraid of the worse for Nora. Halloween was the one day of the year she hid in her house, she was afraid the other world creatures would know she could see them. But now she was out searching for Nora . beth had a piece of Nora’s shirt and sniffed it. Beth found out Nora had been taken by Wizards and she must find her friend before it is too late. Being part were and part witch it would help her to find Nora. The strong scent of Nora’s blood and Others weres were in the alley and than led her to the woods. She hoped Nora was alright no one else understood Beth besides Nora. Beth is afraid to unleash her powers and draw attention to herself. Beth finds Nora who she believes is dead in the forest but Nora is actually transitioning but she doesn’t know this. Beth unleashed her powers but is stopped and protected by Edward who came upon her and Nora in the forest. . Edward tells beth the prophecy and that they must mate before midnight on All hallows eve. That doesn’t leave them much time. Beth can feel the pull deep inside that says Edward can be trusted and is telling the truth.
I liked this novella but felt it was definitely too short - if you can even call this that. But I felt this was rushed. It took under an hour to read. I wondered why this wasn’t just added to the beginning of the first book of the series as a prelude- to Wedding Bells Times Four. This did make me curious about the first book and interested in trying the book. I would have definitely liked more background on Beth, Nora, and Edward. I just felt this was way to short presented as it was.

This isn't a book, but just a prequel. The story appears interesting ,but this portion is fast and incomplete. I would like to see the full book.

Was another book just like the rest of authors books ,but it didn’t have as much of an interesting story behind the story.

A very quick into of Beth & Edward and the prophecy written long ago about the two.

After believing her best friend is dead Beth wants revenge and uses her powers for the first time public. Edward comes to her aid and though being warned by her father in the past she feels the pull from deep within that what he can be trusted and what he says is true.

From a suppence filled opening to the steamy ending Trinity Blacio held my attention and grab my interest in wanting to know what really happened with these two in the follow up books.

Book Review
Title: The virgin witch and the vampire king (the prequel)
Author: Trinity Blacio
Genre: Paranormal/Romance
Rating: ****
Review: The opening to the virgin witch and the vampire king was brilliant and this is only a very short prequel to the series, so I read it in under 30 minutes. We are introduced to the virgin witch Beth Roman while she is searching for her friend Nora who has been missing for the past two days.
When Beth finds out Nora has been taken by wizards and weres she knows she must reach her friend before it is too late, and it is here we learns that Beth is special as she is part were and part witch and there is even a prophecy about her and the Vampire king. When she believes she has uncovered Nora’s dead body, Beth unleashes all her power not those responsible although she is stopped and protected by the vampire king; Edward.
We learn that Nora didn't actually die but rather as transformed and Edward reveals the prophecy to Beth, and they must mate before midnight on All Hallows Eve which means Beth must sleep with a man who until recently, she severely disliked and give him her virginity before midnight which is only hours away. Despite this Beth does mate with Edward and has the most earth-shattering experience and thus this sets the scene for the first book in the series. While this book was short and quite unrealistic even for a paranormal romance novel, I will be reading the rest of the series as this seem like it could be a new guilty pleasure read for me.

Didn't like the book. The plot wasn't good. The whole story was kinda bleh. I guess this wasn't my things. The writing had lacking . The author could've described a bit more.

It's not bad but works better put with the book the characters are the main in. I'm familiar with the author on other books so I knew going into this the "ending" wouldn't be much of a "ending" & that the author loves using really vague/open ending closings. I wouldn't call it 1 of her better ones…

I enjoyed this short story. It was a quick fun read that add information to the series. I would definitely want to read more from this author and continue on with Edward and Beth’s story.

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this story.

This is a prequel to Wedding Bells Times Four and is very short. Beth’s friend, Nora, goes missing and she’s the only one who cares. She’s going to get her justice or so she thinks. This is when she meets Edward, the Vampire King. He has just found out that there’s a prophecy that he must find and join with his mate. This is a very short story that gives us a little background history on Beth and Edward before the next book. It was a good story even if it was short. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from Netgalley

I requested this book via NetGalley because I saw the description Were-Witch hybrid virgin mating with a Vampire King. It sounded like pure smut and I was totally here for it. Sadly this fell completely short immediately I was confused as to what was going on and why we got no explanations of what was going on or any background on characters. The whole time I was reading I felt like I was missing something and maybe this was a blurb in a bigger story.

This book was very interesting. I would recommend this to everyone. Finished in one setting. Author did a great job!

A good start to the Beth and Edward story, but keep in mind this is basically a Prologue. Felt like I was just starting the story and then it ended. Would recommend, but would rather this was already in the book instead of a teaser.

This is short introduction to Beth and Edward, the main characters in this series. While short, it certainly isn’t lacking in the author’s trademark heat! I’m definitely looking forward to reading more of this series.
