This story is clearly an introduction to the first full-length novel in the series and succeeded in making me curious enough to order that book as well. That being said, be warned that this story does not stand on it's own and that it should definitely be read as an extended prologue to the novel. It's a good introduction to the characters and the feel of the world that Blacio has created.

I really try not to give one or two star reviews. I understand that this book is short novella and a prequel in the series. However it is way to rushed and needed more story line to understand.

The story was so rushed and not well constructed that it gave me a whiplash. It was also bad and it had the stereotypical female virgin, male manwhore trope that I have come to hate since it's so overused. The dude knew that Beth was his mate, but he was out with some bimboes. Am I supposed to like him after that? I hope that book 1 will be better written without any ow drama since I am still not convinced that Edward can be faithful.

This was so short, not sure how they classified this as a novella.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance read

Another okay story by Ms. Blacio. I got a little bored midway through but the story picked up again. Good.

This was one of the worst short stories I’ve ever read..

There was no connection between the two main characters at all. It was flat and stupid to be quite honest. Also it was so rushed it felt like it jumped from one thing to another with no story at all.

I wouldn’t recommend this short story to anyone.

This wasnt even a book lmao. It was like 5 pages and felt like a really really REALLY rough outline. Its legit like, My Friend is Missing!, Hunt for Friend, Friend is Dead, I am Angry, Vampire Saves Me?, In a Car, Sex, Married. There ya go. There is the entire freaking "story." I dont even want to call it a novella because it really isnt lol.

A great introduction to characters in this series, and a quick read. It made me happy I had first four books of this series to read and did not have to wait for the next read!

This is not really a book or even a prequel... this is a short chapter. Without any context or set-up, it honestly didn't make very much sense. I didn't realize that it was so short when I got it, but from what I understand, this is supposed to be a lead-in to a series or at least to another book. In order to do that successfully, you have to have somewhat of a plot. This was a mess of all over the place, nothing made sense because we had no context for any of it, and then it ended. At the very least, the goal of this should be tempting the reader to want to read more; this did not pique my interest at all. Also, for such tiny book, it had typos and grammatical errors -- hard to excuse them when there are only a handful of pages to edit.

Very quick read. I understand that it is a prequel but it would have been nice to have some more character and relationship development before the “fireworks “. It does however, generate an interest in the story.

This was too short to be anything but a prequel, but sexy enough to be a great lead into the next book.

This prequel is about the meeting and joining of Edward, the vampire king, and Beth, the witch, as mates.

Ok good book however to short as I was just getting into book it ended. Love the difference between them a Whitchurch and vampire.

It looks like this is just a short story prequel to another book. This might be good for another scene for those familiar with the characters as it's just a taste, but it's not really enough to want to seek out more. There's a tiny bit of plot, character introductions, then they scromp. That's pretty much it.

This is the pre story for the virgin witch and the vampire king. I read the other books in the series. This story shows how it all began. It was a great beginning.

This was my first read from new to me author and I enjoyed it. Easy read with interesting characters. This novella was setting up for what I think will be a fun series. Loved the take on Vampire and Witch pairing.

I received an arc of this book

A very short prequel to the series. It basically sets the stage for the next book with the introduction of Beth and Edward and where they first come together.

To call this a book is definitely an exaggeration. Merely a handful of pages, this is a very brief introduction to the THE VIRGIN WITCH AND THE VAMPIRE KING series, and a choppy one at that. This was certainly rushed, providing no background and little in value. I question the author’s need to start a series so unceremoniously.

I've received a ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Not much of a story line nor interesting characters. Honestly, just a quick read if you're looking for something to pass the time with. Nothing worth wild.
